Attended a wonderful child's birthday party here today! What a gorgeous Park! Such a magical place for little ones to enjoy getting wet in the splash area; run around on great plush grass with plenty of clean bathrooms & plenty of parking. So glad I was able to know of this pretty park! read more

Came for the splash pad for my 4 yr old and it did not disappoint! So many different water features. The crab was a bit creepy looking lol but my son had so much fun! And I loved how many people were there on a Wednesday evening. Lots of families enjoying the park and beach volleyball! The playground was great as well, they have lots of things to climb on for younger and older kids. Also loved that they had a pretty big covered picnic area. We live about 20 mins away but will def come back. read more

Loveeee this park. The splash pad is the best one around us that I know of. There's water play for every age, from walkers to teenagers/ even adults. Amazing place to cool off. There's beach volleyball area, picnic tables. 4 large family style restrooms. Only improvement would be more shade around the playground and water areas and for the playground to have swings/ toddler swings. And I do wish it was a bit closer. read more

Maybe a park ranger or someone in charge should monitor on weekends. We attended a birthday party that was reserved in the shaded picnic area, the reserved sign was even up hanging up clear as day but we were continuously being harassed by a couple of men that belonged to a very LARGE amount of people playing volleyball, they kept complaining that they were there first and even left their bbq grill in our picnic area thinking it would intimidate us to leave which it didn't, they could not understand simple reservation rules. They were cussing and complaining while we had little children playing during a "children's" birthday party , it was very disrespectful and uncomfortable for the kids. Definitely need more supervision during reservation times to help fend off unwanted people. Overall it's a cute park when the water area is running! read more

We had our son's 5th Birthday party their yesterday and it was a great hit! Even though the water pad was out of order for renovation the kiddos still had a great time. Plenty of tables with chairs available without reservation on a Sunday afternoon. We love how clean the park and the amenities are! Definitely recommend it for special occasions or just a regular park day! read more

This is a very nice big park. They have parking spots which is big enough. Has lots of playing areas; The water park, sand playing area, playground, some big green area ,some sports fields. The water park : Big crab with lots of water spray out.They have big warning sign to make sure do not drink the water since they recycle the water. Sand playing area : it's next to the playground and water playground. Have few big boxes of sand ,bring ur own toys since it's just sand with no other play structure inside. Playground: They have lots of climbing webs,very fun for kids that like to climb. Have some spinner to play too. Lots of seating and they have some picnic table with shades near by water park. The front area by the park has few restrooms, didn't go in but they look pretty clean from outside. Lots of people come here but this is definitely a nice big parks for the kids . Great park to go walk around, play some baseball or beach volleyball. I also liked the grass area to go sit down to read. Not much shade though so it might not be the best for the middle of the summer in those super hot days. read more

We like coming here for the splash kiddos area. There is a huge volleyball area, play ground, horse shoe area, picnic tables covered, lots of open grass, and public restrooms. Highly recommend for families. read more

Amazing park. We enjoyed the splash park and the playground. There are nice modern clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. The parking lot is between the park and the road so it feels really safe to let kids run. There are sports fields and sand volleyball pits too. There aren't a lot of trees or shade structures. So avoid the worst part of the day during the summer. read more

Great splash pad, with a colorful, fun themed water pad. All of the kids there were having such a blast playing with the shooting water. Plenty of benches, tables and trees for shade. The park has a large playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, and plenty of green grass space for running around and playing sports. My little granddaughter absolutely loves this park. read more

Great new park in Roseville (near Rocklin) the construction had only completed trough phase 1, but as of this writing it boasts a two lane horse-shoe pit, 4 full size sand volleyball courts, children's play equipment (with those awesome rope spiders web things) and a covered bench area with single charcoal BBQ. Great space for workout, play, and family read more

While the park itself didn't disappoint, I'll admit we barely scratched the surface of what it has to offer. After paying the entrance fee, we drove around a bit but found there weren't too many roads to explore by car. We stopped at the lake long enough to take a few pictures and for me to use the restroom. The seasonal workers cleaning the bathrooms were friendly, though they were unable to share any fun facts about the lake (I guess I won't hold it against them). Since I don't have a boat, there was no getting out on the water... though one of my friends teased me to go inquire about the young man zipping around on a jet ski. Aside from boating, it seems like there are also camping spots and some hiking trails but we didn't get our shoes dirty on this visit. If I return, I'd love to slow things down and enjoy the park properly by maybe setting up a hammock by the lake, getting out on the water, or even trying a little fishing - as long as someone else handles the bait and any fish I inevitably catch! Overall, a beautiful spot with plenty of potential, I just need a do-over to experience it fully.

We came here today with some friends and their kids, and it was a great spot to spend a few hours. The real star of the show is the splash pad--perfect for kids to run around and cool off, especially during the warmer months. Ours had an absolute blast, and we had a hard time pulling them away when it was time to go. The playground is decent--not exactly a destination on its own, but it gets the job done. Think standard climbing structures and slides. Nothing wild, but enough variety to keep the little ones entertained. What really surprised me were the amenities. There are several sand-filled volleyball courts, and today they were packed--looked like some kind of tournament or club play was going on. There's also a big open field for soccer and a baseball diamond nearby, so it's a solid park for sports families too. And I have to mention the bathrooms. I didn't get a photo, but they were genuinely clean and well-kept, which isn't always the case at public parks. Their parking is nice since it requires a little walk to the playground which is safer for little kids that like to running around since it's not so close with the playground. Playground is pretty good size and has lots of steps structure to play. The swing is not too close to playground more like few walks away. I personally like it better so when the kids playing swing is not too close to the one running around the playground is safer so they don't bump to the people playing swing. They also has water park.water park usually only open on summer time. They do have few picnic tables not much. So having big party in park probably this park is not so much table compared to harry crab park or granite bay area park. If u come early morning during cold season slides definitely is wet. Saw one homeless guy digging through the trash can walks around. As long is safe and clean this park is not bad too bring the kid to play.

We opted for the $35 wristband, which was well worth it, he got to go on several different rides and hit the big slide multiple times.They had plenty of carnival games, vendors and food trucks. When it came time to grab a bite, my son picked Bubble Hive food truck. He got a waffle cone with vanilla ice cream and chocolate that was so big that we all ended up sharing it. Since it was Mother's Day, the beer garden and live music were a nice touch. They were serving mimosas, so my husband and I both grabbed one, since I was in the mood for something refreshing instead of beer. It was starting to get pretty hot out, so we only stayed for a couple of hours, but it was a fun outing and my son had a great time.

Last minute, I discovered the bathrooms were down so we switched our reservation to here and I'm so glad we did. The tables were wonderfully spread out. The covered area was nice and cool. It was close to the bathrooms which is nice! There is a lot of grass area and two smaller playgrounds near by for the kids. There is also a horse shoe pit, as well as a few smaller bbq pits that are awkwardly spread out. Loads of parking! You can park on the street or in the parking lot. Over all, great place to plan an outdoor event!

The play structures are perfectly sized, so you don't have to stress about bigger kids or equipment that's too advanced. It creates such a safe, relaxed environment where toddlers can explore, climb, and play confidently. There are also a few shaded picnic tables, which make it easy to take a break or enjoy a snack while still keeping an eye on your child. They do have a sandbox area as well--while sand isn't our personal favorite, I know it's a huge hit for many kids and adds another fun option for play. Nice Park but no Shade, WestPark Area…read more The WestPark community in Roseville is growing rapidly... Nela Luken is one off the parks in the area. It is located on Pleasant Grove Blvd between Village Plaza Drive and Village Center Drive. The park is located in a nice central spot that is adjacent to a few businesses including MoJoe's coffee shop, Kitchen 747 for casual American dining and a gym (F45 Training). If you see any of these businesses you are very close to Nela Luken Park off of Pleasant Grove Blvd. The park is well maintained with a lot of grassy area. There is a section with metal picnic tables, can't move the tables around as they are secured to a cement pad. With our triple-digit summers this should've been a covered area. There is not one shady tree near that seating area. All the trees are young and not big enough to draw shade. The park was named in honor of Nela Luken, a former Senior Planner at the City of Roseville. There is a playground but whoa! the top of the slide is pretty high up there. It would be a bit scary for a young child to be on top that tall structure. There are also bathrooms in the premises. Anyway... I come here for the food trucks on Wednesdays. They usually come in fours and they would park alongside the parking area. Usually there are three meal trucks and one dessert truck on rotation. Review #2586
