Recently visited for a funeral visitation and service. There were two areas for guests for the visitation. A couch, and chairs on one corner, a couch by another areas. I ended up standing for over an hour right by the guest sign-in book. The screen across from the large couch scrolled through selected family photos. There was a closet for coats. Another larger room set up with chairs for the scripture readings. The first room upon entry was a big room and conducive for standing, since there wasn't a lot of seating. I was glad I had come during a time with less people. The staff were buzzing around and at some point had to interrupt conversations to round up the siblings ahead of the readings. read more

I could not recommend this funeral home more! We had used their services for my dad a few years ago and every detail was covered. My dad has passed in Florida and Tillman Funeral Home assisted in transporting his body. Harry J Will took care of the arrangements with Tillman. My mom and I had arranged for her prepaid funeral and the sales director lead us through the process answering any questions or concerns. So when her time came, the funeral home was right on top of everything. My siblings and I only had to meet with Cheyenne once where she covered the things they would need for mom. She asked for details and memories of our mom's life some of which she picked up on while we were reminiscing on mom between the siblings. The obituary that Cheyenne wrote was good, if not even better, than what we could have done. The day of the visitation, the lovely receptionist went way beyond and entertained my small nieces and nephews. She accommodated us with every request or question. The refreshments were great to have so no one had to leave if they were hungry. The day of the funeral was handled with such care and concern for our mom and family. No detail was overlooked or missed. The pastor who lead the service was so compassionate and talked about mom with a loving insight. The cars in funeral procession where given flags and traffic was cleared by their employees. At graveside the pastor prayed for our mom. And Cheyenne instructed us to what to expect or do. Mon laid to rest by her beloved husband, our dad. The following luncheon after was held at the funeral home. The staff did everything to see we were taken care of. The food was good and plenty of it. They did a really good job making my dad look good. The funeral director was very nice. But there were a lot of miscommunications which led to some stressful issues. read more

The lack of sensitivity of this place just caused it to lose another star. THE DAY AFTER THE FUNERAL, we got a call from them telling us that we were going to get a call from a company asking us to evaluate the service that we got and asked us to rate the funeral director that took care of us a TEN out of TEN!! It is unbelievable that they would lack the decency to wait for a family to grieve before pushing their agenda. Good thing we didn't take that call as they would have gotten a ZERO out of TEN for their insensitivity. I give up. This place is a huge corporation with no heart. read more

Funeral home I agree with the other reviews. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! My mother passed away when she shouldn't have. Here is how Harry Will made her death ten times harder then it had to be: Another family was allowed to park a hot rod car outside the window of the room that WE were in for my mother's funeral service. They displayed it like a car show outside OUR ROOM at the funeral home. The car had the doors and hood open, we had to watch people gathering around a car outside as we said goodbye to my Mom for the last time. How unprofessional to have people peering in on us as we grieved. When we had Moms priest come they had no microphone for the priest doing the rosary service because the other two microphones had already been used by the other funeral (whom arrived after my Mom's) When our funeral assistant left in the afternoon she introduced me to Me*** who would be helping us but when we needed Me***'s help, every time we went out nobody was sitting at the desk, and nobody was to be found. The volume to the speakers from the other two funerals was so loud that nobody could hear our priest doing mom's rosary service. We were told by Reb**** that a sign would be put up to do a headcount for lunch and at somebody would be doing a headcount although that never happened and when I brought it to their attention they put the sign up after 5:30 pm when most people had already left. We had to give the restaurant a headcount by 9 o'clock Friday night in order to have our luncheon on Saturday so we had paid for almost 40 extra people because nobody took count at the funeral home for us. Reb**** wrote the obituary for us yet looking back, she never asked us about my moms sisters and brothers, spouses, and neices/nephews. When we told her about my sister, my brother, and myself being in the obituary we spelled out my sisters name, and my sister was left off. We intentionally left off another family member, but this was not the family member mentioned. In Reb****'s notes she had our immediate family showing in the obituary, but one was omitted in the newspaper which already printed & it could not be fixed. Our funeral planner was not real helpful writing the obituary & had to be new at her job. She obviously should not have been unsupervised. My mother was cremated. At everybody else's funeral services we noticed that they had boards for photos. We were never offered any boards for any photos. It wasn't until the evening before the funeral that we realized we had never received any photo boards to display photos. Our help was very unorganized, and not very helpful in the planning process. When we first arrived to plan the funeral we were asked to select a date to return, when we asked why we were going to be returning they said that so we could go over any final details. When we expressed our Dads concern that we did not want to have to return to the funeral home they pushed it on us. The services were paid in full the day we met them for the first time. When you go the plan a funeral do you go with the intention of going back for another appointment..? My father was coerced and had to make an appointment to pick up my mother's death certificates. When he returned for that appointment to pick up the certificate he thought he was only returning to pick up the certificate. This is when they hit him with the sales pitches in preplanning funerals, and this is what they wanted us to return for so badly even though we strongly insisted that we did not want this to happen. They hounded my father multiple times by phone regarding pre-planning a funeral. He was grieving and now was being reminded of his own demise almost weekly. My brother put an end to those calls and vowed to never step foot in that facility again. They DO NOT cate about you! This facility does not care about you or your grueving family. They are strictly sales-oriented, and only looking to make an extra buck where they can. read more

Our treatment was wonderful by everyone we encountered at this funeral home. They worked with us on many changes and gave us all the freedom we wanted for setting up memorials and our guests dining area on the second floor. They never rushed us with anything and gave us all the time we needed. Wonderful staff, very understanding and kind. read more

As the other reviewer mentioned.. these people do NOT care about the families or their wishes.. and while I was the ONLY family member (daughter) treated me like crap while bowing and scraping to others who'd come for the service. This day was hard enough for me and they made an incredibly hard day almost unbearable. If you want someone to take care of you, help you thru what is one of the hardest things you will go thru this is NOT the place. RUN from these people as fast as you can and find anyone other than them to help you in your time of grief. read more

Tracy, the funeral director, went above and beyond to see that my loved one had a beautiful service. The compassion and kindness shown to my entire family was well beyond words. The attention to detail was above and beyond expectation. We coud not have been more satisfied with the establishment and staff. They made a difficult time much easier to cope with. Both of my parents had their funerals planned ahead of their deaths. Their funerals were handled by Harry Will Funeral Home in Livonia Michigan. I and my family were very pleased with the services that were performed by Harry Will Funeral Home. My wife and I have also planned our funeral arrangements at Harry Will Funeral Home in Livonia Michigan. It was a long process, but we were not making these plans as grieving persons; So our children, and the surviving spouse, will be saved the pain of making these arrangements while grieving about our death. We recommend that anyone who is able to make these arrangements ahead of their death should do so, for the sake of their surviving loved ones. The cost for both of our arrangements was a total of just over $25,000.00, We have signed and paid for the total package's. We could have opted out of some of the services and saved some money, but we decided to take the whole package's. I am a U.S. Army veteran, so I didn't have to pay for burial plots. We, and my grandson ( If he dies before reaching a certain age) will be buried at a National cemetery as a benefit of my serving in the military. read more
