Dr. Harry Pham is a very skilled and professional optometrist. He performs thorough eye exams and takes the time to explain my results clearly. I feel confident in his knowledge and appreciate his calm, patient approach. He makes sure all of my concerns are addressed and has helped guide me toward the right eyewear options for me. The office is not large and extravagant, but it's comfortable and quiet. I think the "mom and pop" type of business (healthcare services included) are nice. I've seen his daughter working the front desk and watched many people come in who appear familiar with the family. My dentists office was sort of similar until she retired (daughter and husband worked the front/office). I have never in my life met an unprofessional, condescending, impatient, uncompassionate doctor in my life! I'm still shocked as I'm writing this. I wished I would've looked him up or read reviews before coming. It's my hope that the Dr's family members (daughters, spouse, elderly or disabled family members) are given grace should they come across someone as unkind as you. I have seen Dr Pham a half dozen times over the last fifteen years. His services are excellent and his staff is courteous and attentive. He completely explains any issues he sees and answers all your questions. I have always been satisfied with my prescriptions as given. Dr Pham is professional and reserved but does not suffer fools. If you are foolish you need to go somewhere else. My eyes are as important to me as my heart or my brain. I look for a long term relationship with all my doctors and Dr Pham is who I choose to have examine my eyes. read more

My entire family has been seeing Dr. Pham for more than ten years. He identified preventable issues with my son's vision and once the preventable steps were taken (zero cost) all has been well. We moved out of state three years ago but always travel back when we need to get new glasses. Quick and accurate, but always takes the time to explain things and answer our questions. I had my first and last eye exam here today. This is the single most unprofessional medical office I have ever set foot in. Dr. Pham failed to address any of my concerns and told me that I should just expect my vision to be poor, even with my glasses, despite the fact that I have been wearing glasses for nearly 2 decades and have never once had that be the case before. My left eye has always been worse than my right, but my glasses have always been able to correct them to be as close to equal clarity as possible. Dr. Pham simply told me that I should just expect my left eye to be worse, even with glasses. I was repeatedly told my glasses were not the problem, my eyes were, and that the fact that I believe I could see more clearly before was just my perception and not reality. I was snapped at throughout the appointment for not answering his questions in the exact words he wanted, and for not answering him quickly enough. I was then offhandedly issued a rather serious diagnosis that was not addressed any further. I don't trust this diagnosis and will be seeking a second opinion elsewhere, as such a diagnosis would be present from birth and yet none of the other doctors I have seen ever mentioned what would be an obvious anomaly. Instead of listening to my concerns, he condescendingly explained a diagram of the eye to me, which I did not need. I work in a lab and the quality of my vision is vital to my work. This was not taken remotely seriously during my visit. I was not provided with notes about my visit or an after visit summary upon checking out, only a prescription that I will be having rechecked by someone else. read more

I arrived at Firewheel and was greeted by some wonderful assistants that were really kind. When Dr Harry came in the room he was very rude, there were no kind of greeting. He had such a terrible attitude. He kept telling me to not wear my old prescription glasses I told him "I understand" and he continues to tell me why I shouldn't be wearing them over and over again. First time getting my eyes checked and he wanted to go through the diagram and try to teach me about the actual eye ball and when i asked him if i needed glasses or not and he said" I'm trying to explain to you but i can just go ahead and read the paper and we can get this over with".. like what kind of doctor speaks to their patient like that. Very rude made me feel uncomfortable and will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. Wish i could report him to someone else. Not a pleasant place or pleasant Dr. to visit. If I could select a -10 star I would as opposed to a 1 star. And if you have any questions after the exam that you've paid full price for, you get treated like dirt to simply get an answer to a simple question. Or you can pay again for the answer to your simple question. Unprofessional and unethical, one location of which we will not ever return to and one of which is associated with the unprofessional and unethical LC next door. I went to this eye doctor because I wanted to get into see one before my eye insurance policy switched. Prior to my visit I had never been to an eye doctor before. I had no idea what to expect. (And I'm 21) I was super nervous. But the lady at the front desk I wish I caught her name, but unfortunately I'll have to use a racial description, I believe she was Asian but I wanted to give her credit! She was so nice. She was polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable I'm not sure if she had a degree of some sort in the profession or if she just and enough experience working their that she picked up on stuff. Anyways once I had finished with all the eye photos, I got into see the dr. I'm not sure if more than one works here but he was also Asian. Again I want to give him credit. He was super nice and made me comfortable he explained everything he was doing or was going to do and then gave me my prescription and I was all set. The process was pretty smooth not that I have anything to compare it to real live been to the eye doctor waiting with my mom a few times but I was younger so everything seems like it takes forever and a day if It's not fun to you as a kid. But I definitely suggest going to this eye doctor I have nothing but positive things to say about my visit. Great experience and I will be returning for all of my future eye exams!!!! read more

If I could give Harry Pham zero stars I would. He was the worst communicator as well as incredibly condescending. His office Firewheel Eyecare is associated with LensCrafters in the Firewheel Mall. I made the mistake of assuming that LensCrafters associate with quality optometrist and not researching him ahead of time. When I googled him, he had horrible reviews. This is the rudest and most condescending Dr. I have seen in my life. I came in to recheck a prescription because I was unable to attain clear vision at a distance, which I could with my prior prescription. I arrived assuming that the problem was with my lenses - not the prescription, but I did not want to ask to have my lenses re-made if there was a problem with the prescription. Dr. Pham berated me for questioning the prescription, lectured me about "vision physics", refused to listen to my explanation of the problem I had and became virtually abusive during the exam. I went to a different Dr. who figured out that my astigmatism prescription had been lowered in the new prescription which caused the new distance vision problem. I regret that I paid this jerk money to insult me after HE made the mistake in the first place. If you want someone to listen to you and help you with your eyecare, Dr. Pham is NOT the Dr. for you. This man has no business interacting with the public and should seek counseling for whatever "issues" he is struggling with. read more
