Friendly and welcoming staff! I came in was greeted by the ladies in the front and after that Kevin took me back and did some tests. It was super fast and simple. He's a chill guy that gets things done. Dr. Abraham was great at explaining everything to me and he quickly identified the issues I had with my vision without me telling him. Like WOOAH DUDE...so this is how a person with a doctorates degree's like...a mind reader. Haha. Next, I saw Ellen. She's so sweet and patient, she definitely knew what would look good on me. It was like we've been friends since forever type of thing, it's amazing how she immediately knew what I would like. After that, Bev finished me up by making measurements and stuff. She's cool too. I've been blind since the 6th grade, so I've been on the hunt for a great optometrist. I actually wanted to be one growing up. But anyway... Dr. Soby Abraham and Dr. Samantha Naidoo are two of the best optometrists around Dallas! They are both extremely friendly and professional and their staff as well. I've been going to them for about 3 years now, and Dr. Abraham is very attentive to all my needs. I think glasses and contacts are very important because you use your eyes everyday, so it's gotta be done right. I informed him of my medical conditions and he always makes sure I'm doing well. His check ups are very thorough. Plus he always throws in some solution! They didn't have a very good selection of glasses a few years ago, but I had my last appointment last week and the choices are great! So many new trendy and hip styles. I was hoping they would have the wayfarer Ray-Bans and Kevin even showed me all the choices they had online for sunglasses and colors that you can use the frames for as regular glasses too. Kevin was so nice in explaining my VSP insurance coverages and all the lens choices and features. Usually Rachel is there as well and she's great too. Never has a problem with me coming in to adjust my glasses. Kevin also got me some rebate papers for my contacts. And Stacey was very friendly when doing the pre-tests. This private optometry office will definitely give you a great experience. read more

I had a fantastic experience here with Dr. Abraham and his staff. When I called to make an appointment they were able to get me in the next day; most of the other optometrists I've called in the past usually make you wait at least a week (in some cases up to 3 weeks!). The reception staff was very friendly and polite, and Dr. Abraham is funny, personable, and does a great job explaining his decisions when determining your prescription. I've already noticed a huge difference between my old prescription and my new one, and will bring my current back-up pair of eyeglasses in to get the new prescription put in them. When I mentioned that I was thinking about getting some one day contacts for an upcoming trip, Dr. Abraham gave me enough samples that I wouldn't need to buy them separately! I was really touched with his empathy and generosity. The exam and contacts for six months (combined) were cheaper for me than the exam alone at other offices I've visited here. Dr. Naidoo is the best! She has a great personality and she brings this enthusiasm to the room when I came for my visit. I had no complications with my visit and I was in and out within an hour at most. The glasses selection was pretty small, so I chose to buy my frames from Warby Parker. Dr. Naidoo is fantastic! She was very thorough with my exam, and really took the time to make sure we had the right prescription. I had a follow up appointment a couple of weeks after my initial appointment, to make sure I liked the new brand of contacts I was wearing. Very good thing that happened because we ended up finding a totally different brand the second time that fit much better! Was awesome that she tool extra time with me to get this right! HOWEVER. Not every experience and staff member is this wonderful! The man who works with frames has never been pleasant to me. He always has a sour expression on his face and conducts himself with a demeanor that exudes frustration and contempt. (He looks like grumpy cat!!!) It's tough to tell if he hates his job, hates people in general, or hates life all together. Whatever his problem is he needs to get over it and work on his customer service skills. He is truthfully so rude that I opted to only order contacts here and ended up ordering Warby Parker glasses! read more

This is the place to go for all your family eye care! Our daughter saw Dr. Soby Abraham and he was fantastic with her. She is normally very, very shy but felt totally comfortable with him. Now she has glasses, we had all of our concerns addressed and fully explained and we are all around happy with her treatment. Dr. Naidoo is the one we saw for our appointments. She is fantastic as well, again, with complete explanations regarding what we would need (if anything) and she has a great personality as well! They take most insurance (including VSP) or they will work with you to make other arrangements. You won't regret giving them a try. **UPDATE 06/27/3014** We still love Focused Eye Care. I am Dr. Abrahm's patient for more than 2 years. I have never encountered a dr so careful with his patients, so precise in his diagnostic. I wear contact lenses for about 20 years. Some of the previous doctors have not been always accurate in their readings. Dr. Abraham will take all the time in the world to make sure I am pleased with my lenses because I am a difficult patient, almost too perfectionist. I am very happy with his service. The staff is also so nice, so friendly and fun to talk with. They care, return calls almost immediately and will go the extra mile to accommodate the patient's time. The communication from this place is horrible. The Doctors are great but the front staff could be way better. I was told that my contacts would be in the next day or by the end of the week. 2 1/2 weeks go by with no word from them. I finally just showed up and was told they had been on back order. I call after they knew this to let me know this would have been nice. I was so furious!! Again, made an appt for my son. instead of calling me to reschedule(the person who made the appt) they called my husband who in turned changed it and called me and the new time was not good. I received two different excuses as to why it had to be changes. Same thing today and again two different excuses. Any suggestions for another eye place??? read more

I had been looking for an eye doctor for sometime now. I was with my eye doctor for over 25 years and he was amazing! I had been through a few doctors and just kinda gave up from exhaustion. The doctor's around the area treat you like you are a number in a factory and we are talking about my eyes here. My co-worker recommended this office and I was kinda side eye'd but called anyway. From the time I called the front desk to make my appointment, to the time I actually saw Dr Abraham till the moment I decided on my pair of lenses and contacts, the service just superb! Dr Abraham's bedside manner is amazing! he is very detailed and makes you feel comfortable. I came in today to look for some glasses with my daughter. I had been in the office before to look at some of the glasses for back to school and they recommended that I come back in August because they're back to school selection would be a lot bigger. So, I came in today with my daughter to pick out some glasses and was stopped by the front desk staff who requested I give them a copy of my ID in order to look at the glasses. I showed them my ID, but they wanted to keep it while I was in the store. I have been to multiple glasses locations and never have been asked to give them an ID just to look at glasses. I was treated like a criminal and I do not believe that there is any justification for it. Shame on You! read more

I called to see if they sold glasses or only did eye exams. I spoke with Kevin. He said he could help me. I gave him the style I was looking for. He did not have them in the store but could order them. He asked about my insurance. He called to verify my coverage and cost. That is something no other vision store did. He was very helpful and after getting all my information the difference between his price and the large chain vision stores was over $200. OMG! How can that be. My appointment started on time - which I really appreciate. Beverly did a great job in answering my questions and making me feel calm about the eye imaging.
