I would highly recommend this business if you are looking to redo your floors. I called around to a few different locations and they were well priced and had a good selection of items to choose from. They were able to give me a rough estimate based on my square footage and base material after taking a quick view of my property. They we low pressure and gave me quote with no up-sell pressure which I really liked. Some others really wanted you to sign a deal the day they come out to quote. We ended up pulling out our carpet and putting in some laminate flooring. The flooring we got looked really nice and has the hand scraped texture. They worked quickly around my schedule as I needed to get the floor in within a week while there was no furniture in the location. They also were able to work on the house while roofers were redoing the roof and had no issues working around that crew. They were even able to squeeze us in even though we needed it rushed. They even went to the warehouse to pick up the material since delivery couldn't get the items there in time for my project timeline. They did a real professional job and it looks really nice. Their shop is a little small but it has all the space you need to look at the samples. You really don't need more space than that and I am sure having a small footprint helps keeps the cost down which is good for the consumer. Our dog's collar ripped a small piece of our berber carpet so I yelped for a local carpet repair and came across Harry's Carpet. After reading the reviews I called and was able to make an appointment within a few days. Harry shows up today and fixed it within 20 minutes. He was punctual, professional and friendly. The best unbelievable part is he chose not to charge us a penny, even though I insisted on paying him something. My hardwood floors (solid wood, not engineered in this case), are really beautiful thanks to Harry and his crew. This was a big job: 1,800 sf of new flooring which involved tearing out old carpeting, linoleum, and very stubborn tile. We were on a short time schedule, as we just bought the house and wanted the flooring installed prior to move-in. (Do it that way if you can!) I did minus one star for some miscommunication, a measuring error, and the cleanup could've been better. But the quality of the work was great, we love our floors, and get lots of compliments. I am very disappointed with Harry's Carpet. They were scheduled to come at 8 am for about a month and then we changed to a different day and then no one showed up and they told us oops sorry it was a scheduling error and then changed our 8 am appointment to 10 am and then wanted MORE money from us after we had everything in writing of what we wanted with a specific price. We also had to clean up after the guy who installed our carpet. SHAME ON YOU! I thought going with local business would be nice but clearly we were wrong!! read more

Beautiful nightmare .... the end result was beautiful, but the process to get there was an utter nightmare. My family paid 14K+ for carpet ( 3 bedrooms) and LVT for the rest of our home. Our home is a few feet under 1900 sq ft. We did our research with various other flooring companies and received multiple quotes. Harry is a pure salesman and he sold us on choosing his company based on efficiency and competence. Mistake! Installation: This was a somewhat large job and there was no project manager to ensure that the job was being properly done. This became and issue when a change of order had to be submitted and the measurements were way off and we ended up having to pay for excessive carpet ( $ 22 per foot) that we could not use. Mind you, the measurements were done by Harry's Carpets. If I am paying you for a service, it baffles me that you want me to be the project manager for your crew and direct them on what needs to be done. Bad customer service on so many levels. The installation crew itself was full of characters who showed up late and left early. The cleanup process was minimal as nails and staples were left on the floor multiple times even after bringing it to their attention. Harry showed up twice for one hour to put in a floor transition that later had to be redone by his crew because it was not installed properly. We had new trim installed and almost half was not caulked at all resulting in my husband and friends going around our house caulking work that was supposed to be done. I also forgot to mention that Harry never even showed up when the job was finished to see if the results were what he promised after all of the problems we had. I wouldn't recommend this company for anything. read more

Extra care was spent on the fireplace trimming it and going to luxury vinyl from carpet i couldn't be happier. Wow, I doubt I've ever been as happy as I am today!!! Harry came out last week for and estimate, and we scheduled the work to be done today. I have never been more impressed with the business in what is typically known as the "man's world". Very very obviously knew his stuff. He did show me a couple options of other things to put in, but it wasn't shoved down my throat. The estimate not jacked up because I'm a female either, which seems to happen a lot. On two different occasions I had the pleasure of talking to his wife. She is wonderful! I spoke to her for quite a while on the phone and she knew the business just as well as Harry did. Now that my floor done, you cannot tell he used pieces from underneath the washer and dryer to fix squares that had lifted and broken. It looks like brand new freshly installed kitchen floor. Thank you Harry! As well as your wife! For doing such a professional, beautiful job on the floor but also being so professional about it. Met Harry at the last home show in Fairfield. Made a appointment for some three weeks out. Received a call about a week or two later to set up the appointment. Then got a call couple of days later to cancel that appointment and make it for another day. On the day of the appointment nobody showed. Called a few days later to ask what happened and the person answering the call must have been babysitting since there were kids screaming in the background and didn't know what was going and eager to get off the line.
