We had our original tile kitchen counters replaced with quartz but we kept the oak cabinets as we were on a budget. JL did the demo and installed the slab and new stainless sink and we are happy with the outcome.

    Quartz Island Countertop

J L Tile put in a new quartz countertop, sink, faucet, island countertop, and backsplash for me. All the guys who work there, as well as Keri, were so professional, friendly, and just overall nice. My kitchen looks dramatically different, and came out exactly the way I wanted! The backsplash looks fantastic! The gentlemen who did the installation work finished in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves completely. John, the owner, came out to do the estimate, and he was so knowledgeable and friendly. After looking over reviews and pics of other work they had done we decided to hire them, and it was the best decision we could have made. Excellent job!

I needed a 96in quartz vanity top with dual under mount sinks and faucet holes drilled for our bathroom remodel, literally the last piece of the puzzle. We went in on a Tuesday and told them what we were looking for and went back and selected a slab that day. Full disclosure, we had an order placed with Lowes that would have us waiting for a month longer than the original delivery date which was that Tuesday. I got the quote the next day from JL and asked if we could get a rush job done and they said yes and we had a vanity top that Friday afternoon. I can't thank them enough for taking care of us on such a last minute order. Keri and John are extremely professional and will recommend them time and time again! The lesson here for me was box stores aren't always the way to go. Let the professionals handle it.

I overheard the gentleman tell the office personnel the weight of the rocks so I decided to add more to the order. Then overheard him tell her the weight of the additional amount. In all, we both added it up. I paid for it ($960). Within an hour or so, I returned to discuss buying more. Within minutes of arrival, I was told the total weight of the first order was calculated wrong and it would cost more ($530). When the company makes a mistake, own it. Don't ask the customer to pay for your mistake. I paid the difference because I'm honest. Interesting fact - you won't see the scale where the rock is weighed. I guess they expect you to believe they are honest. Avoid, avoid, avoid! I'm disappointed and sad to know this company is not as it was. I purchased several yards of rock from them 8-10 years ago and didn't have this experience.

Reply to Home Depot team: I have lived in the area almost 20 years. This store used to be great. But no more. I then left and went to another department and asked for a person to be called to help me in the grinder section on aisle 17. I heard the announcement loud and clear across the store PA I wait another 10 minutes and ask another department again. I hear a clear request for help on aisle 17 with grinders . I did have a gentleman announce himself as Manuel to. Please call him Manny. He was not dressed in any kind of insignia as being a Home Depot employee he said that he would absolutely help me when he saw I was looking at grinders. He shouted to another gentleman who was a distributor for another type of grinder. This person was trying to help me, but he didn't know the Dewalt grinder system, and didn't know if there was a tool that would help me take the wheels on and off again no help whatsoever from the store. Finally I approached self check out. I asked one of the ladies to please call me the manager. A gentleman who said he was one of the store managers named 'Red' came and identified himself as one of the store managers. He said he wasn't sure why nobody came up and that was too bad that happened. I ask who the GM of the store was and I was told his name Brian . But I was also told he was too busy walking around the store looking at inventory to deal with customers who are not being helped. Clearly they have lots of managers, but none of them managing. I definitely would avoid this Home Depot. It was just so conveniently located off the freeway on my way to Sacramento that I thought I would grab something I needed. What a mistake. Looks like they have all the products one could want just no help in purchasing them

The process went very smoothly considering I had already purchased the range top, hood, and sink. I had already selected which quartz I want to use too. I was working with another company, but lost all confidence in them delivering. Submitted for the free quote and Jarren came out to do it. I was very impressed by the detailed analysis and design confirmation of my choices. He already knew how much quartz I would purchase and how I can maximize the material with minimal waste. Not a lot of vendors share this insight on a quote. In addition, I needed a cabinet modification. Switching from cooktop to range top. No one wanted to do the cabinet modification. This was right up Stonecrafts alley. They do cabinets!! Having experience with costs, he was within the range I was expecting, so I was happy to move forward. The installation schedule was shared and executed according to plan. At no point did I have to adjust my plans. The installation team was very professional. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Stonecraft for your kitchen projects. At the very least give them a chance to earn your business. When I get to a bathroom refresh, I will give Jarren and company a call!! Thank you guys!

Based on our bad experience we do not recommend StoneCraft as a general contractor for a kitchen…read moreremodeling project. StoneCraft subcontracted out various portions of our kitchen remodel project but did a poor job of coordinating, overseeing and communicating with those subcontractors (Team). StoneCraft technically never completed the project not did a StoneCraft representative perform a detailed monitoring of the project as it progressed. Here are a few examples of StoneCraft's lack of oversight and follow through: The Team that demolished the granite countertop did not provide a schematic diagram so that the quartz installation Team would know the correct number of holes necessary for the sink area. They didn't account for the instant hot water dispenser and the associated hose. Weeks later a hole had to be drilled in the already installed quartz countertop. Unfortunately we had to purchase a new instant hot water dispenser because the demolition Team lost or threw away key parts of the old one. After the old granite countertop was demolished and the new quartz countertop installed our Bosch dishwasher no longer worked. It turned out, a hose was damaged during the disconnecting and/or reconnecting of the various hoses underneath the newly installed sink. We had to hire another contractor to diagnose the problem and to fix the dishwasher connections. The StoneCraft representative, Jarren, denied responsibility because, "StoneCraft didn't move the dishwasher during the project". However, StoneCraft, per the contract, removed and reinstalled hoses. The Team installed two electrical outlets that didn't work so they had to be prompted to return to fix the problem. The Team had to be called back to repaint areas of the kitchen ceiling that they initially painted, although poorly. The Team had to reorder the correct kitchen floor tiles twice, once because they brought the wrong pattern and a second time because they didn't bother to look in the boxes to notice the contents were not correct. Finally, the team delivered a pantry door sans a handle (only a hole). Jarren ghosted us so we had to hire a handyman to install a newly purchased door handle. Although hiring StoneCraft was a big mistake we learned a lesson but at least we kept the numerous emails that documented the above ordeal.
