Pork chops was ordered and once it was picked up took home to be cleaned the package has rat feces on almost all the meat. I called and even went back to the store and they told me that I was telling a lie and they were not going to refund me. Please don't get meat from them. It just tasted fresher, had a great texture (AKA not frozen) and the cut I was so picky about was better than the prepackaged grocery store stuff. There are usually a bunch of butcher guys working at the counter, and while they aren't friendly in a "hey y'all!" Kind of way, they make the time to get you exactly what you want. You don't feel rushed. They could be a little friendlier... Prices are a bit higher than what I've been paying in grocery stores, that speaks more to the quality than price-gouging in my opinion. The worst part of Northeast Market is the high counters...ugh. That won't go in my rating, but short people should be advised - there's a bit of a reach for practically EVERYTHING in there.

Do yourself a favor, go to a grocery store, buy the Jack Daniels pulled pork, and nuke it: you will have a better dining experience. The Mac and cheese was gloopy and flavorless. The cornbread, inexplicable brought in by an outside vendor, was dry and terrible. The service here is awful: handling money and food with the same greasy gloves. Bad for the cash, bad for the food.
