We had a very good experience at Harry's today! Devin, our server, was super good and very accommodating. Good menu knowledge, on the ball, and very personable. The food here is amazing if you are into Creole. On this visit, we only had starters. But that was enough after the awesome bread! The seared Ahi Tuna was over the top! The Louisiana Fondue was amazing, as usual. Cold beer, two specialty martinis... Pomegranate Martini, and I asked for a basil leaf. I love the meld with Pomegranate and basil... Dirty martini that was grande! All in all, we had a great experience with Devin, and our service was great. Not smothering us, but right on time! This place has a menu that makes it hard to make decisions. Everything we've ever had is amazing!!! Thank you, Harry's!!! 4 star for sure!!!

Maggie took excellent care of us! We shared a bowl of delicious she crab soup. Both of us got redfish prepared two different ways, which were both delectable. Harry's is a staple in Lakeland and never disappoints!

First of all, let me start by saying citrus... I mean CURTIS (inside joke) lol was an AMAZING server! GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE! I made reservations for my 32nd birthday last weekend and they were slammed. I was worried with my large party service would be extra slow but Curtis and Management were on top of everything. My girls even noticed that everytime Curtis came to the table with something no matter what I (the birthday girl) was served first. They loved that and I felt extra special because of it. The food all came out correct and delish, in a timely manor. We were very happy with our visit and I will definitely be back just for normal lunch/dinner. Thank you so much for making my birthday dinner great! :)

Was visiting family and they recommend we eat dinner at Harry's. What an amazing choice!!!! Called ahead and was placed on a waitlist. Told it would be an hour due to the size of our party. Then received text updates. And we were sat three minutes after the hour. It was so convenient and perfect!!!! Food was delish. Fried green tomatoes had a spicy sauce on them. Voodoo shrimp sauce was a little peppery. Garlic butter served with the bread was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Hurricane drink was so good and refreshing. Entree was Shrimp Etouffee. Highly recommend. And don't forget desert. Chocolate bread pudding. The cake portion was chocolate!!! That took the desert to the next level. Sad that I was only visiting as I would be a frequent visitor at this one!!

    Chicken and shrimp creole. Tasty.

They listed to me and added a lobster entree to their menu. Now if they would just tweak their desserts.

The coffee is solid, and the café is in a great downtown location that's perfect for starting your morning or taking a break while exploring the area. The vibe is awesome with brick walls, tasteful decor, and pleasant music, and just what I look for in a local coffee shop. Prices are fairly reasonable with many drink and food options. Although there was a bit of line when I visited, it moved quickly and staff was efficient in getting ordered items out to guests. I went with a white mocha frappe (5/5), asking for it to be made less sweet. It's not something I ordinarily see on the menu at local coffee shops, so was delighted at how good it was, with just the right amount of sweetness to it. It's shame that there's nothing like it at coffee shops close to where I live, as it's something that'd be in my regular rotation of caffeinated drinks I'd order. As my friends and I enjoyed our experience here, I'd definitely return to Black & Brew, and would recommend them to others looking for a quality coffee shop in Lakeland.

The restaurant is small and designed with beautiful architecture to match the hotel. We really enjoyed the Pistachio Espresso Martini's (not creamy if that's your vibe like me!). The grouper sandwich was delicious and I loved the slaw. My boyfriend really loved the burger as well. Our server was so sweet, but service was a bit slow. We went on a Sunday and they only serve the brunch menu since they close at 2 PM on Sundays. The restaurant wasn't overly busy when we got there, so it was disappointing to have slower service without really seeing how/why. Overall food was delicious and we would definitely be back to try a few of the dinner options next time.

Our server described the dishes perfectly. I tried the Beef Wellington and loved it. I was not crazy about the mashed potatoes I felt like they lacked flavor but the Beef Wellington was the star. The menu is french inspired but portions are over the top even by american standards. The cordon blue must have used two chicken breasts as it was easily 10" long and at least 3" across. Honestly, it's enough for dinner, lunch, and dinner again the next day and that's coming from a guy. The cooking was well prepared, chicken and fish were cooked to the correct doneness, but there's a few places for improvement. Too many things were overly salty and the chef seems to favor garlic to the point that it impairs the flavors of the rest of the food. I would never have described the brussel sprouts as "pan fried", they were boiled and then hit a pan for like 30 seconds. One of the heavily salted items, between the texture and the salt, they were nearly inedible. One quick side rant - do restaurants not understand that we all have cell phones and can google the retail price of a bottle of wine? I'm not paying $10/glass for a wine that is $11/bottle (and probably not buying $11 wine anyway). Cut your prices in half and you'll actually sell so much more that you'll make up the profit in volume. Win-win. For a french menu, I didn't see a single french wine on the list. Hmmm Desserts sounded great, the only one we had was the creme brulee. The custard was perfect with a strong vanilla flavor and you could see the beans in it. The caramelized sugar was too thick. You should be able to crack it by tapping it with your spoon, not have to stab it to force it to break. Anything more than 1 mm is too thick. Getting all frenchie and metric on you. Still, a respectable place. I'd like to see a wider variety of herbs and spices used and tone down the the salt and garlic. This place has michelin potential, but is held back by Food Prep 101 mistakes.
