Had to wait 1 hr 30 mnutes for a table for 6. It was graduation day so we expected a wait. My kids ordered food and drinks at the bar since they were super hungry. After being seated, it took forever to order, and get drinks and food. My daughter ended up getting her meal to go since it took over an hour to get food after ordering. While eating, we ordered dessert to go hoping it would be quicker.. Another 35-40 minutes. Grrr. We had an hour and a half drive home as the school was in Lakeland and we do not live near by. Everything was just so slow. The food was Ok, nothing spectacular. We just wanted to celebrate our son graduating. It ended up being a 3-1/2 hour ordeal. We live in Lakeland and Harry's is an icon. It's located in the middle of our beautiful downtown and brings a touch of New Orleans to the area. We were celebrating an anniverary and had the great fortune to have Nichole for our wonderful waitress. She seriously made our meal that much better. The food is always fantastic. The seafood dip appetizer is a cold dip, loaded with chunks of fish, served with crispy little crackers-delicious. Shrimp and grits has a little kick and perfect with lots of shrimp. Hubby had blackened redfish with seasoned rice-he really enjoyed it. We were gifted a piece of real key lime pie, not that green fake stuff. We had a very good experience at Harry's today! Devin, our server, was super good and very accommodating. Good menu knowledge, on the ball, and very personable. The food here is amazing if you are into Creole. On this visit, we only had starters. But that was enough after the awesome bread! The seared Ahi Tuna was over the top! The Louisiana Fondue was amazing, as usual. Cold beer, two specialty martinis... Pomegranate Martini, and I asked for a basil leaf. I love the meld with Pomegranate and basil... Dirty martini that was grande! All in all, we had a great experience with Devin, and our service was great. Not smothering us, but right on time! First of all, let me start by saying citrus... I mean CURTIS (inside joke) lol was an AMAZING server! GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE! I made reservations for my 32nd birthday last weekend and they were slammed. I was worried with my large party service would be extra slow but Curtis and Management were on top of everything. My girls even noticed that everytime Curtis came to the table with something no matter what I (the birthday girl) was served first. They loved that and I felt extra special because of it. The food all came out correct and delish, in a timely manor. We were very happy with our visit and I will definitely be back just for normal lunch/dinner. I moved to Lakeland about a year ago. I love to cook so, I don't go out often. Harry's looked good on Yelp, so this was the first place I visited in town when I had company. The setup here is like a comfortable old fashioned place. The staff are extremely attentive. The food is sort of Cajun seafood. Everything I've had there is delicious. My first visitor in town loved it so much that he insisted on going back when he returned. This scenario repeated itself with two female visitors. It's getting slightly annoying because I'd like to try a new place. Anyway... One of the things I love about the place is that it's always full of all sorts of people, couples and families enjoying the food. Strong recommendation. read more

Don't bother calling after 8:30 they'll put you on hold and never come back to the phone. I was on hold for 10 mins my first call and then when I called again I told them about being on hold for 10 mins, he apologized and then proceeded to put me on hold for another 5 mins. read more

Was visiting family and they recommend we eat dinner at Harry's. What an amazing choice!!!! Called ahead and was placed on a waitlist. Told it would be an hour due to the size of our party. Then received text updates. And we were sat three minutes after the hour. It was so convenient and perfect!!!! Food was delish. Fried green tomatoes had a spicy sauce on them. Voodoo shrimp sauce was a little peppery. Garlic butter served with the bread was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Hurricane drink was so good and refreshing. Entree was Shrimp Etouffee. Highly recommend. And don't forget desert. Chocolate bread pudding. The cake portion was chocolate!!! That took the desert to the next level. First off it's New Orleans style seafood with some fresh ideas. I had the blackened shrimp salad with cranberries and only thing I would have added is avocado, but I'm from California and put that on everything. Happy hour till 7pm and all day Tuesday so we took advantage of that too! Everyone enjoyed their meals and took home what we couldn't finish. Our server was wonderful and never left us feeling abandoned even on a busy Friday night. Great atmosphere but would have been even better with some jazz music! read more

If you like Cajun food and seasoning, Harry's is the place for you too. We had a group of 6, we waited a few minutes before being seated. The prices are really good and should not break the bank so to speak. I had Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage it was excellent and reminded me of New Orleans. Everyone had a wonderful meal and time. Our server was Brittany and she took very good care of us. I was expecting a lot more from this 4.6 star establishment. I was out to dinner celebrating my friend's birthday when I was enjoying my meal and noticed a bug crawling in my jambalaya. I was grossed out. I had no appetite after that. They did bring me a fresh one but did not offer to take the original meal off that had a bug crawling in it. My wife and I are in town for the holidays. My parent's took us to your place for dinner and let me tell you that I would have rather eaten at Chic Fil A. Let me start by saying that I LOVED the fried green tomatoes. The bread and butter was also delicious. We all ordered different items: For me, it was the Jambalaya; Hubs - chicken sandwich; friend - Shrimp salad. Our server was Janice (pronounced Jan-eese). She was so darn sweet and attentive. I wanted to be her friend! She could train servers. Just the right amount of attentiveness and care. It was a mid-day Sunday and there was no wait. We don't eat out much due to the virus, but this place felt so cool and SAFE. We all really enjoyed our lunch. This is the best food I've had in my two months in Florida. The ambiance was ok. A bit more loud and dim inside than optimal. So not so comfortable. Outside where I sat was still a bit hot this time of year. The bread they served was light, fluffy and warm, with a nice crust. It was tasty paired with the provided herb butter. I ordered chicken and shrimp creole which came well presented just hotter than could be eaten right away, which turned out to be optimal. It was full flavoured, spicy, and tasty. Just the right proportions of meat, rice, and sauce per spoonful. A good deal at $11.50 before tip. I'll definately be back. read more

I've been to Harry's twice , it's overly expensive for what it is and the staff was rude. Also the building is very old and has great acoustics,(great for concerts) but not for a dining experience .
