Terrible experience with getting our lot graded and then sod on our new home. Was a train wreck…read morefrom the beginning. They quoted incorrectly and then added a charge for more dirt the day before work to be done and even that amount was inadequate to get the job done correctly. The grade is terrible. They then rushed to get the sod down after it sat in hot sun ALL day. Placement of sod was terrible. Did not lay close enough-gaps all over which allows for weeds to breed. When we tried to tell them, we got attitude. They failed to bring enough sod so had to return the next day. They never applied any vegetation killer or weed prevention at all in order to prep the dirt for a healthy groundwork for sod to thrive in. When asked about that we were told it was not necessary. The end result is a front yard and a back yard TAKEN OVER by crabgrass and various other types of weeds. We have had 3 different lawn care companies out to assess and advise. Since it is a new lawn we cannot do anything to eradicate the lawn infested with WEEDS EVERYWHERE except to wait till early spring since the root system is too new. Our yard looks terrible. We pull crabgrass day in and day out. Think twice.

From the first meeting with Bob, we felt totally at ease and extremely well informed. Bob Tunsi & Sons Designs workmanship is a level most will ever achieve. There are some steep declines on our property that require some retaining walls for safety and to guide the water to stop some standing water spots. Bob told us what we needed now to fix the issue and created a blueprint of what our backyard could look like. We asked Bob to give us two quotes; what needed to get done and what was cosmetic. This eased our anxiety knowing what we were spending and where our money was going. This meant the world to us! In the spring of 2021, it was time to start making some color choices of the different rock colors for the retaining walls. Bob dropped off some catalogs and a few samples for us to look at. We were able to put the samples next to the house under the different lighting and times of day. When we narrowed down our choices, he gave us some local addresses of some houses he had completed the landscaping. This really helped us see the final product and we were able to make a decision that we both felt excited about. Bob's staff are all professional, informative, polite & friendly. We would see the crew everyday and they waved and said hello.The crew worked hard everyday in the blazing heat and sun. Their work is beyond comparison. Any little issue that arose was immediately taken care of and worked out for the betterment of our landscaping. The finished product was above and beyond anything we thought it could be. From the placement of the flowers and trees, to the design of the steps and decorative rock. There were small details we would never have thought of. The transformation of our backyard was incredible! If you are reading this, you know that landscaping can be a big expense and headache. She helps us with some decisions, based on what we want and what is actually doable/practical for our setting. She doesn't try to sell us on what she thinks we should do, or whatever happens to be in abundance at the nurseries at the moment. Becky is great with communication and is always on site for questions. We've been working with Becky for almost 20 years, and we were thrilled to find out we could work with her again. Unfortunately, we used a different company recently, when we thought Becky wasn't available. We didn't get the same customer service that we get with Landmark.
