Absolutely the worst experience of my lifetime! They are crooks and con artists. They tried to rush me through my scheduled cataract surgery without telling me what my co-system were going to be. Then they messed up my eye exam and had to do a second one. But I wasn't notified that I would need to have my eyes dialated again. I almost had 3 wrecks on the home. Finally, I discovered that the reason I was being rushed was because the elderly surgeon who was scheduled to perform the procedure was retiring. I was to be her last patient. Not good! If you don't like being lied to, please avoid this provider. They are not fit to even hold a license. Total frauds!!! If I could give them a zero I would certainly do so! read more

I truly don't understand why I keep coming back here. Aside from getting an appointment, you end up getting corral into different various rooms for various testings for your Eye. That's great. However, I would like to opt out of these and just get right to the general eyeglass exam. I know Eye health is important but by the time I got out of here, I had been there for over an hour and a half. Normally I get a morning appointment this time I had an afternoon appointment so I'm not sure if they got backed up but by the time I was actually seen by the doctor it was an hour after my appointment and all the random tests I had to take. Now while the assistant ophthalmologist was very helpful and friendly and my ophthalmologist is also friendly. I think I'm gonna seek other treatment elsewhere. I could be wrong but medical corporation such as this, it just seems like a lot of volume. Of course I would never purchase glasses from here because the prices are outrageous and to get my prescription in hand is such a pain in the ass. I will say the front desk staff is helpful and nice but aside from that it's just the most bizarre impersonal experience ever. Also, one of the biggest annoyances was, I went to another room and had to turn my head sideway as well. They got a picture of the back of my eye. Before I put my head face and Eye up against this machine, she cleaned it with a tiny little alcohol wipe. Which she didn't clean was the actual eye-opening, which I could see visible makeup and dirt on, she just cleaned the headspace around the eye opening. read more

I had a pretty good experience here yesterday after calling Madison who is an absolute angel. I was worried about my eye in the morning when I woke up and it was watery and extremely red. I was surprised to get a call saying that there was a 1:40 PM appointment available. Dr Rouhani was very sweet and so are her assistants. Everyone is very professional. The doctor prescribed some antibiotic drops for my left eye and told me to change my pillowcase every morning. My eye feels better and has less redness tonight. I'll keep you all posted!! I'm pretty sure I picked up some crazy eye infection at the gym but at least I'm in better shape now!! It's all a trade off read more

I am disabled , had an appointment with Dr.Skarvana and can barely sit in a chair for 15 minutes but my appointment was 2 hours late. I was in so much pain that I had to leave. I got no apology or any attempt to help me reschedule for another time. My experience has always been good with the San Clemente office. Until today. I need to have YAG capsulotomy to treat secondary cataracts. This procedure is a quick in office procedure that takes only about ten minutes per eye. I was contacted by the surgical coordinator today to talk about costs. She told me that I would have to pay surgical center costs out of pocket (this is thousands) but that my physician was "willing" to do the procedure "in office" if I was willing to pay $365 "doctor fee" out of pocket per eye. What a scam! I am so disappointed and disgusted with the dishonesty. This is a standard in-office procedure that insurance covers uniformly. read more

During my eye examination at Harvard Eye Center I was diagnosed with cataracts in both my eyes and also glaucoma noted in both eyes. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Savak Teymoorian for further examination and corrective procedures to my eyes and vision improvement. Dr. Teymoorian was very thorough, kind and answered all my questions. All corrective options were discussed. Dr. Teymoorian conducted the cataract removal surgery and Toric lens placement in both my eyes. The procedure was painless and the recovery was quick. My eyesight improvement was amazing and I was very happy with the results. Thank you Dr. Teymoorian for this wonderful experience and saving my vision. Respected the facility until the surgeon put in the wrong, expensive lense for simple cataract surgery!!! Checked with 5 highly rated surgeons who will not see me to correct the problem??Not sure what to do as the trust factor at Harvard is gone. I have been told over and over that cataract surgery is one the easiest and most common eye surgeries???? IF you could call the office and talk with someone and IF you could get a timely appt this might be a good place to go. The problem is that you get put on hold for eons and then the system doesn't connect you and you have to start over. I finally drove over to make an appt. The second issue is that the doctors all split their time between this location and Laguna Hills. This means limited appts in San Clemente or driving quite a distance. This isn't a good business model. So if you want accessible and timely medical care I would suggest that you look elsewhere. (p.s the parking in San Clemente is atrocious. If you have mobility issues you will have extreme difficulty getting to the office. Often you have to park 3 medical buildings over and hike to the office ) read more

Today I had my second appointment at Harvard Eye with Dr Behnaz Rouhani. I am so appreciative of her expertise and kindness. She left no stone unturned in investigating my symptoms because she truly cares about the patient. The whole office is a pleasant experience. Jennifer at the front desk is always helpful and smiling. And today I saw Rebecca (also in the front) handle a very difficult patient with grace and composure. I can't image finding a better place for eye care. read more

I had eye surgery to lift lids in November last year. It is now May and my left eye is still inflamed and the drooping is worse. I cannot see out of it, I have ointment oozing out all day, I cannot wear contacts or makeup on that eye. Dr. Sears assures me this is normal and will redo surgery once the eyeball is healed, however, not under anesthesia. I complained and said that is crazy to keep me awake. Harvard Eye disagreed and terminated the relationship stating it was my fault for continuing too many appointments. I have a new doctor and I hope Harvard and Dr. Sears have good insurance . Breach of Standard of Care to say the least and my eye has been severely damaged. read more

Customer service was poor and also felt like I was pushed from one staff member to another throughout the process. I spent the least amount of time with the actual Optometrist herself. All the eye testing was done by some support staff person. And the end process felt like a time share experience trying to upsell me on glasses I didn't need. They need to fix this. I have used Harvard Eye for cataract surgery a few years ago and that was fine. In July of this year I went for an eye exam and they gave me a prescription for glasses that I had made up at another place. I tried the new glasses for about 30 minutes to have my eyes adjust but I was able to see better without the glasses than wearing them. The vendor checked the Rx and remade them but they were just as bad. I went back to Harvard and they checked the glasses to see if the Rx was correct and it was. I mentioned that my old glasses Rx is fine. Rather than giving me a 5 minute check on my one eye that was blurry with the new glasses they took the prescription off my old glasses for my eye that was blurry and will send me a copy of it so I can get the one lens remade like my old glasses. The bad prescription was much stronger than the old one. I'm not sure why it was off so much but they could have spent 5 minutes with an eye chart. Needless to say I won't be going there again for any eye exams. I had to go again to their office because I did not get the Rx sent to me. My 3rd trip there. read more

I recently went here for my dry eye problem that I've had ever since I had Lasik. I had been to two other doctors and been on several meds that didn't help. I decided to try this place and met with Dr. Karen. She was super nice and you could tell she knew her stuff. All I have to say is that my eyes feel the best they have been in years! I am truly disappointed with my experience at Harvard Eye. I went in three time to try different contacts. I thought the third ones would be the answer, but I was wrong. When I tried to schedule an appointment to address the problem I was told they couldn't see me after 90 days. My contacts were delieved on June 21. I called them on July 2nd. Twelve days not 90. Not to mention the fact that I have never had a doctor's office refuse to see me after I informed them I was struggling with my contacts. That I could not read streets signs or a clock less than 6 feet from me. I strongly recommend that anyone shopping for an eye doctor go somewhere else. I am now left to find another doctor that can help me see well enough to preform basic tasks. read more

Dr. Teymoorian is such a great doctor. My sister was recently diagnosed with glaucoma at the young age of 21. When I initially thought this my heart crushed for me, but after having the initial appointment with dr. Teymoorian he reassured my sister and I that having this diagnosis doesn't necessarily mean going blind but that there is treatment for it and having early intervention is the key. Being on top of medication and eye appointments is another factor. This review is just to thank dr. Teymoorian for being amazing at calming down my nervous self and helping out my sister with her treatment. read more

Six weeks ago my 18 year old son was hit near eye with a baseball. Had to take pre-cautious measure to get checked and after searching decided to see Harvard Eye Associates in San Clemente. He was examined by Dr. Sears of which she was very thorough & excellent with communication & explaining the next steps for follow up. Thankfully it didn't seem to be anything serious, but to air on side of caution she stated we need to see Retina Specialist in 4 weeks, which was today. (to make sure Retina didn't detach) My son was examined by Dr. Brian Kim & he too was excellent with quality of care & front end staff is very courteous and helpful. It was for cash pay & very pleased with the quality of care Harvard Eye in San Clemente provided & the peace of mind they have provided as all seems to be just fine. read more

The staff was kind and professional. However, I was returning to see a doctor who was going to do a procedure to open a blocked tear duct. Unfortunately I needed to have radiation treatment again so we decided to wait until the effects of the radiation were over before doing the procedure as radiation is what caused the problem in the first place. When I returned I was seen by a different doctor. Afterward I was told that the previous doctor no longer worked there and that none of their doctors could do the procedure. Why wasn't I told that when I made the appointment? I told them why I was coming in. Why did I have to endure the placement of a VERY long tube in both my upper and lower tear duct and pay an $85 copay for nothing?? I tried to discuss this with their billing department but they wouldn't budge. I paid the bill so it wouldn't go to collections. But I'll never go there again. read more

I recently went in for cataract surgery at the Alicia Surgery Center and I hope that by sharing my experience it may alleviate some fears that others may have. First, let me say I am just about 40 hours post-surgery as I write this and I feel that my experience has been excellent. From the moment I walked into the surgery center my fears were addressed by caring, friendly nurses and doctors who saw to my needs and were quick with assurances and support. I remember nothing of actual surgery because my anesthesiologist, Dr. Ganan took good care of me. My surgeon was DR. Teymoorian from Harvard Eye Associates and when I saw him earlier today for my follow-up exam we were both delighted by the fact that my right eye vision had already improved significantly since the surgery. (This seemed incredible to me!) After the surgery, I had mild discomfort for about 4 hours. I took Tylenol and stayed quiet and gradually the discomfort went away. After a quiet day, I had a restful, pain free night. By the day after surgery, I felt good enough to drive and my eyes were close to normal. (This absolutely amazed me!) Now as I look to cataract surgery for my left eye in a couple of weeks, I am confident that my doctors and the caring staff at Alicia Surgery Center will again take good care of me. For anyone who needs this surgery I cannot recommend Dr. Teymoorian and the staff at the surgery center more highly. read more

They seem to take pride in smugly deceiving their clients!! This must be a Medicare focused organization.... You don't become successful ripping people off once; you become successful by building a long term, repeat base off clientele. The absolute worst medical experience of my life . Zero customer service ethics. A very extensive patient pre check questionnaire that gets tossed in the garbage except for the lucrative money making nuggets... but if you do not need them??!!.. they will still push aggressively for them... I need a peripheral field check yearly and I stated that.. the technician was more concerned about cataract surgery and was clear she never read my sheet.. eventually she said with the way they structured my visit ; I have to come another day for my check... I stormed out vowing never to come back... I'd rather drive a full hour to my old doctor in San Diego than go next door to this sewer or a place!!! read more

I took my elderly mother to her appt and it was over a two hour wait. Unbelievable! During Covid they had her wait in a freezing office for that long with no set up to wait outside and no consideration for a high risk person. The receptionist was just awful....... Coughing and really in a bad mood. Not nice to anyone waiting in the office. They need to take care of their clients better!!!! read more
