My friends and I love May and any the owners. Their donuts, muffins and croissants are just fabulous and made fresh daily! In the mornings several regular visitors gather there and visit and network. So fun! The owners are friendly and helpful. They even have lottery tickets with many previous winners. Tried two filled donuts one powdered w/ lemon filling and one chocolate w/ custard filling. The Lemon doughnut was the best I have ever had. The powdered sugar wasn't too sweet, the lemon filling was tart and lemony but the best thing was the doughnut itself so fluffy, soft yet still consistent. The custard filled was amazing also same yummy doughnut and the custard was on point. If i was to critique the place it would not be about the food which was delicious. but it was a little dark inside perhaps some new lighting. :) Donut Haven sits in a strip center with a Big Lots and Ace Hardware. So first and foremost the donuts are good here no deny in that but the service is terrible the woman has terrible customer service and professionalism Before i even went in i called and asked to see if they accepted a certain form of payment and the woman said "yes" there was no ifs or buts on the phone call i walk in order my items and i go to pay and i use that form of payment the women begins to get very upset and tells me i need to pay for my items (which i did) and the service charge that she is going to receive from the bank for taking that form of payment i tell her i only have THAT form that's why i paid the way i did she then told me in a very very nasty attitude with a nasty face she will never ever do it for me again and waved me off out the door ever since that encounter i've refused to give this establishment any business read more

My friends and I love Donut Haven. Everything I have had there is sooo delicious. I try and remember to take a supply of plain croissants home for sandwiches, or to serve along with a salad. They are super flaky and buttery delicious. We have learned to use them instead of hot dog buns. Their Bavarian cream donuts are too good to be true. The couple who owns it are very welcoming and sincerely nice people. Plus buy your Lottery tickets. The regular patrons are friendly also. We feel welcome walking in the door! read more

Donuts are not bad but they do have a distinguishable flavor at the end. My guess is the oil. Right as I entered the store I noticed the scent of the oil. Not a very pleasant. Over all donuts are ok but I repeat there a taste of oil at the end, which to me is untasteful read more

Sometimes Donuts are greasy or too sweet. I asked the lady to purchase a donut hole she stated 15 cents. I went into my purse to retrieve the 15 cents. I attempted to give her the 15 cents and she was sitting on her phone with her head down, no Eye contact. She said, no I will not sell one donut hole, I will only sell half dozen. My experience with this business hasn't been great. I went in and purchased two apple fritters, a bavarian and a ham and cheese croissant. I tasted the frosting on the bavarian, which was a strange color. It had a strange, chemical, strawberry-like flavor. I told the girl and she said she couldn't take it back because I've touched it. I told her I didn't want her to sell it, it should be thrown away because it was bad. She just shrugged. I told her I wanted my money back because it wasn't good. She just shrugged and mumbled something about how I had touched it. I said, "So customer satisfaction doesn't matter to you?" She shrugs and nods 'no'. I said, "You have to be kidding me?" She tells me I can talk to the owner. So I ask her to get him. She tells me he isn't there and advises that I can call in the morning. I ask for a card and she says, "You can look it up in the phone book." I told her, "I guess I just wont be back if this is how you treat your customers." She looks at the guy behind me and laughs really loudly. I couldn't believe how I was treated over a small donut when I had purchased almost $9.00 worth of items. As a side note, my previous experience wasn't good. I had two apple fritters and got violently ill all night. I can't say for sure the food poisoning I got was from them, so I don't want to make that accusation, but it is possible as I got sick almost directly after I ate them. My other experiences hadn't been bad, so I thought I would give it another chance and this was my experience. There are much better places in Hemet where the people seem to really care about your satisfaction. read more
