What an amazing Wedding Venue! Attended my nieces wedding last night and was really impressed. The building and grounds were immaculate and the staff was excellent. We were met in the parking lot by employees who led us to the venue entrance. The weeding took place outside behind the building with a pond and woods in the backdrop. It was a beautiful day and made the occasion even more attractive. I'm sure the pictures will be amazing! Cocktail hour and appetizers were hosted outside the main building partially under an overhang. Games like Cornhole and Large Jenga were available. Music was also piped into the area. Dinner was served in the building which has seating on a main floor and in an upper balcony. There is also a good sized bar in the back. After diner the party was moved back outside so the main dining area could be turned into a dance area. Because the weather was so great I'm pretty sure it never moved back in! Music and dancing outside on a warm summer night was perfect! (And no mosquitoes) Late night pizzas were prepared on a wood fire grill and served to cap off the evening. Harvest Moon Pond was the PERFECT place to host our same sex wedding. As a gay couple looking all over Wisconsin to find the right wedding venue we realized we couldn't take for granted a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, and we got exactly that with Stephanie, Bryan, and Mackenzie. From the second we stepped on the beautiful grounds of HMP we felt seen, wanted, and accepted for who we are. The planning process can be arduous, but the HMP team was there every step of the way to answer questions, provide advice, and respond in real time to changes up to and including the day of the wedding. As a former bartender I had some pointed questions and requests for Brian, he exceeded my expectations both in the guidance he provided in choosing quantities and variety if beverages, but also in the quality of the product they churned out the night of our wedding. Stephanie was so kind and welcoming and knowledgeable. She had recommendations for anything we asked her opinion on and the result thanks to her was a gorgeous day at a gorgeous venue that we could sit back, relax, and enjoy. Mackenzie's attention to detail and accessibility leading up to and on the day of the wedding was phenomenal. We could go on and on about how much we loved working with the HMP team. You hope you only get married once, but these guys made the experience so fun and our day turned out so gorgeous that we'd do it all again if it meant working with this team. Great staff and the picturesque venue was a treat for our group and we all hope to return again soon

***This review is regarding The House at Harvest Moon Pond ONLY*** My wife, daughter and I, along with another couple rented this home for 4 nights. The property is lovely and rustic. The area where the property is located is quiet and serene. It is decorated beautifully and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. And the space is ample enough that we could hang out together, and also enjoy time apart as two couples. Additionally, the owners' were very communicative and responded to messages quickly. The downside of the space was that the cleanliness left something to be desired. Based on first impressions, the house appeared clean and well put together. And we mostly believe this to be true. My wife and I, as well as our friends, are COVID conscious and with a toddler we had already planned to do a sanitizing cleaning of the house when we arrived regardless of how clean it appeared. Unfortunately, our friends ended up sleeping in the room with the two full beds because the room advertised with a queen bed was not a true queen - their bed at their home is a queen and has been for a decade. Since the first day they each noticed, individually, that the room seemed to reek of a strong foot odor, but after three nights they finally mentioned it to each other, having previously tried to dismiss or explain away the smell. The smell did not come from either of them, they went as far as sniffing their clean socks and smelling each others' feet to verify. After some searching they realized it was coming from the sheets, specifically the bed closest to the door which the wife was sleeping in. This corroborated an initial concern she had that the bed linen were not cleaned as she found hair in the bed on the first night. She initially assumed that the hair was from the person who cleaned and made the bed. They shared the news with me and informed the owners. In response to our concern the owners let us know that their personal friends clean their home. They decided that they trust their friends word over their customers' experience and even though we requested a full nights refund (representing the 3 nights/8 hours a night our friends slept on uncleaned linen) they offered $100 for a 4 night experience ($2300) to compensate for an overwhelming funky feet smell and unclean linen. They felt it was fair because their friends confirmed they cleaned the home and they expressed that they "have never once had a problem/concern at our home and most renters actually raved about the cleanliness". This was an insulting response that dismissed our experience and our concerns and indirectly asserts that we are lying. We expressed that we have no reason to not believe that the cleaners do a good job, but even excellent cleaners are human and mistakes can be made. Furthermore, the quality of the cleaning service used is irrelevant to addressing the matter with us. We spent the better part of Sunday washing flat and fitted sheets, pillowcases, and comforters. We also washed towels as several of the towels we encountered had a mildew smell. These are towels that the owners instruct their friends, the cleaners, to leave on a rack in the laundry room to be cleaned at a later date. On the bright side, after the linen was removed and cleaned the funky foot odor was no longer experienced in the room or in the beds. We did find a cleaning log as we cleaned Sunday night in preparation for our morning departure. The latest log was from 3/20/21. Based on it, the linen was not cleaned, and the cleaners are only to clean linen, rooms, etc... "if needed". We're not sure what constitutes as being "needed", however. We aren't the owners' friends who clean their home at a cost, we're guests who paid thousands to stay in the home and who had to clean what their friends obviously didn't. We found a note from one of their "friends" who stated that in some portions of the home the space was "really messy" and that she "just don't think they[the spaces] are getting done every time [the] house [is] cleaned". This was supposed to be a peaceful getaway so my wife can recharge before stepping into a new leadership role, and to celebrate our friend's 2nd pandemic birthday. We had high hopes for this place being somewhere we would be repeat visitors to. But the response from the owners, in light of credible and valid grievance, and what we subsequently uncovered via the cleaning log has ruined all confidence we had in their cleaning practices, and existing procedures to provide oversight and ensure quality control. Needless to say we will not be returning. Mistakes happen, even in the most well ran of enterprises. Instead of leaning into an error, which based on the owners' reports was atypical, they instead opted to dig their heels effectively calling us liars. read more

We've only been here twice but both times were great experiences. We were here for a family wedding and most recently for a book release party. It is a beautiful location and feels very cozy inside, although it is not small at all! The bathrooms are very clean and nice and the outdoor patio is quite nice also. read more

Long post alert, but definitely worth the read!! :) I recently got married at HMP and couldn't have had a more perfect day. There is not a single thing I would have changed about my wedding and a large part of that is thanks to Stephanie, Brian, and the venue staff. They worked so hard before and during the wedding to make sure everything was as perfect as possible for my husband and I. After the wedding, they have continuously checked in with us and reached out multiple times to catch up and hear about new things happening in my husband and I's life together. This goes to show how much they appreciate and care about their couples. They consistently checked in leading up to our day to make sure we were doing okay, had everything we needed, and offered any advice we wanted. I never once felt any stress while planning my entire wedding by myself because I knew Brian and Stephanie were a phone call away if I ever needed anything. During the day of the wedding, the owners were extremely helpful. Stephanie took behind the scene pictures of my husband and his groomsmen setting up the decor (which is amazing to have and look back on), they got the wedding party drinks ready and set those up on the head table so we didn't have to get them during dinner, they made sure our wedding ran on schedule so that was one huge thing I didn't have to worry about, they made sure everyone was safe and having fun the whole day/night and cleaned up many spilled drinks of ours without ever complaining (I had a rowdy and wild group of people who love to party), Stephanie was there to comfort me when I had to make the decision to have my ceremony inside due to weather (this was hard for me as it was not what I had planned, but Stephanie's words of comfort made me feel so much better about the decision), they gave me more time than what was allotted to make the decision to have the ceremony inside and quickly changed everything over, and so much more. I honestly cannot say enough kind things about the venue and it's staff. They truly care deeply about their HMP couples and guests and go above and beyond to make sure your day is 100% what you envision. They work so incredibly hard to run their wedding venue to make it amazing for their couples, but you would never know how hard they work because all you see is how much they love their jobs. I could go on and on for days about how perfect my wedding was and how I wouldn't change a single thing and it's all thanks to Brian, Stephanie, and the HMP staff. My wife and I held our wedding at Harvest Moon Pond in July 2021 after postponing our celebration (and changing venues) due to COVID in 2020. Despite being disappointed in changing our initial plans, we couldn't be more thrilled that we ended up at HMP for our special day! Despite being one of many weddings this summer, we were treated with care and respect in preparation for our day. The staff made it feel like we were their highest priority. Everything from the barn, grounds, scenic background, and attention to detail was beautiful. The staff were great to work with and very organized. The cost is also a great value for what you get in return! We loved becoming part of the history of the barn as well, and the owners made it feel like we were joining a HMP family. We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, cozy, historic, and well-run venue! read more

Friends had their wedding here. It was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place. Their courtyard is amazing.

I was a bridesmaid for a wedding here. The place was beautiful but the people running it were another story. They were judgmental and trying to micromanage every part of the day. We couldn't even bring champagne to get ready. We followed all of the "rules" (there were so many) and there were cameras everywhere to make sure of it. We were making the best of the evening, but was turned sour with comments like "the ceremony was so short I shouldn't have wasted time putting chairs out" and "we do so many weddings and this was the worst by far." The climax of the evening was when the owner closed down bar service before the time allowed. The bride being unhappy about this then got screamed at and was brought to tears on what should be nothing but a magical night. They then asked for the entire party to get off the property. Family, friends and even grandparents had to stand out in the parking lot for nearly an hour for the shuttle to arrive for its scheduled pick up. It is such a shame for a bride and groom to experience the most unprofessional, rude behavior and have this as a memory from their day. read more

We had our wedding at Harvest Moon Pond and we can't say enough about how amazing it was. 10/10 for the venue, the owners, and the staff. The owners Stephanie and Brian care so much about their couples and helped to answer all of our questions. They have ample resources for couples who book at Harvest Moon which helped so much along the way with planning. The venue is absolutely beautiful inside, and the outdoor space was picture perfect. We had our ceremony under the willow trees and held cocktail hour as well as our first dances outside, and it made for the most awesome photos! Their staff was so wonderful and kind as well. We just had our wedding here this past June and we couldn't have been happier! Our day was absolutely perfect and stunning. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how gorgeous the venue was and we felt like the venue offered something for everyone! The ceremony space at the willow tree was dreamy and whimsical. There were so many beautiful places to take pictures and our guests loved all of the outdoor spaces including the yard games and outdoor bar. The barn was so rustic and cozy yet elegant for our reception. The staff were so accommodating and easy to communicate with. I felt like the owners and employees truly care about making the venue as magical and beautiful as possible and they are constantly updating and adding things to the venue to make it the best it can be! I had my wedding here on 5/21/22 and I cannot say enough positive things about Stephanie, Brian, and this beautiful venue! Our day was absolute perfection, and that is largely in part due to Stephanie/Brian's assistance throughout the planning process. Don't know where to start when planning your wedding? No problem! The HMP crew provides multiple guides, Facebook groups, etc. to ensure that you have all of the resources you need to get started. They have also done some AMAZING renovations (even since we signed with them a year and a half ago!) to the barn/outdoor space that allows couples to choose from a variety of different spots to get married (I am biased towards the magical willow trees!). Everyone I talked to commented on the outdoor space - a beautiful patio for cocktail hour, lawn games to keep the guests entertained, an abundance of picturesque spots for photos.... I could go on and on. 100% would recommend Harvest Moon Pond to anyone looking for a rustic, yet modern venue with an absolutely gorgeous outdoor space.
