While the fitness center at the Waunakee Village Center is quite a bit smaller than than any of the health clubs in the area, it is close to where I live. That convenience meant actually getting to the gym, working out and getting value for my membership. What I like: * The fitness center is immaculate and the equipment is well maintained. There always is a staff member walking around with a spray bottle keeping things clean. * There's lots of natural light. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but after working out in places with with artificial lighting, it's like night and day (pardon the obvious pun). * The fees are reasonable. A single membership is $300 annually and my health insurance picks up half the tab. * It's not over crowded. Even during the busy periods in January and February, I could always get on a treadmill or elliptical machine. * The staff are cheerful and always helpful. What I don't: * Weekend hours are not great. 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays and 9 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. The late opening time on Sunday is especially frustrating. * Classes cost extra and the good ones fill up very quickly. So if you're living in the only Waunakee in the World and are looking for a great place to workout, definitely consider a membership at the Village Center.

All the machines have TVs, although I usually just binge watch something on Netflix while working out. Membership is very reasonable for residents. You get $5 off per group fitness class if you are a gym member. Since my workout times are all over the board I haven't done any of the classes. The staff is very friendly. The place is very clean and doesn't smell of sweat when you enter - a big deal for me.

The first couple projects we completed were the string art kits. The curbside pickup was seamless and the staff was super friendly! I got home to find the wrong color board but the issue was addressed promptly and Revel went above and beyond to make sure their customers were happy! Picking up a new board couldn't have been easier. Also, when I was at the end of my project and about 15 nails short, they were gracious enough to mail them out to me so I didn't have to drive from Milwaukee to Madison. The customer service here is phenomenal and really made me feel like they cared about their customers. I will be the first to say that I'm not a crafty person but the "Love" design was one I was willing to put forth the effort for and I'm so glad I did. Hammering all those little nails took a little more time than I expected and I'm glad this was a project for home so I could work on it as time allowed. Our next project is the etched coasters and can't wait to see how those turn out. I look forward to being able to visit Revel during "normal" times and take advantage of their workshops and events. They have a bar area to order drinks or snacks from. You are also able to bring your own food in to snack on. There are instructors there to help you if you want any assistance with any craft. The fact that the ceremony AND the reception were in the same building was really neat. The turnaround from "chapel" to "dance floor" was fast, too! When I arrived, they somehow "lost" my original reservation and created a new one instead -- resulting in me being charged twice. I provided proof of both charges and attempted multiple times to resolve the issue professionally, but the staff and management were dismissive from the start. The manager was incredibly rude, refused to actually listen to the situation, repeatedly implied I was lying, and showed zero interest in helping fix a mistake their hotel created. Rather than taking accountability or even attempting to investigate the duplicate charge properly, I was met with hostility and disrespect throughout the entire conversation. To make matters worse, Expedia even reached out to the hotel on my behalf to help resolve the duplicate charge, and they still refused to issue a refund. Despite clear documentation and third-party involvement, the hotel continued denying responsibility and offered absolutely no solution. I have never experienced such poor treatment from a hotel, especially over an issue that was clearly caused by their own reservation system and staff errors. Between the lack of upkeep, disorganized operations, terrible communication, and unbelievably unprofessional management, I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. There are far too many hotels that actually value their guests, treat people with respect, and take responsibility when mistakes happen.

We were met in the parking lot by employees who led us to the venue entrance. The weeding took place outside behind the building with a pond and woods in the backdrop. It was a beautiful day and made the occasion even more attractive. I'm sure the pictures will be amazing! Cocktail hour and appetizers were hosted outside the main building partially under an overhang. Games like Cornhole and Large Jenga were available. Music was also piped into the area. Dinner was served in the building which has seating on a main floor and in an upper balcony. There is also a good sized bar in the back. After diner the party was moved back outside so the main dining area could be turned into a dance area. Because the weather was so great I'm pretty sure it never moved back in! Music and dancing outside on a warm summer night was perfect! (And no mosquitoes) Late night pizzas were prepared on a wood fire grill and served to cap off the evening. Voted the best wedding venue many times over. I can see why!

Stephanie was so kind and welcoming and knowledgeable. She had recommendations for anything we asked her opinion on and the result thanks to her was a gorgeous day at a gorgeous venue that we could sit back, relax, and enjoy. Mackenzie's attention to detail and accessibility leading up to and on the day of the wedding was phenomenal. We could go on and on about how much we loved working with the HMP team. Bathroom was big, lots of towels, Bath and Body Works lotions, soaps and shampoos. Takes a minute or two for hot water to get up to the sixth floor, but it will get there. Ironing board was hiding in the closet. Lowell has other mentionable amenities. The pool is large and clean. There are computers in the lobby if you need one. So happy to find some much needed afternoon coffee in the lobby right when I needed it. The breakfast buffet was ample; better than a Holiday Inn. Cereals, yogurts, cut fruit, bananas, apples, waffle makers, bagels, toasters, sausages, eggs to order, coffee, juices, teas and probably some other stuff too. Would for sure stay here again.
