We had carpet removed and tile laid in a spare bedroom and was to just be a toilet replacement that escalated into a new bathroom floor as well as a toilet replacement. First the tile in our spare bedroom is wonderful! They were professional and worked with care! The tile and grout is beautiful! In our bathroom had the carpet removed and planned to use vinyl tile and a toilet replaced. Unfortunately when the carpet was pulled up the entire floor under the toilet was rotted out. We had an excellent experience with Daniel and his crew throughout our recent light reno project of installing a wall and two sets of french doors.  I only found him from Facebook, as my frustration was through the roof after getting 3 previous quotes  ($6,900, $13,000 and $30,000) (!) for the exact same job.  Daniel was the only contractor I met with who provided a reasonable quote and could justify the materials, etc.  He is 100% FAIR and actively tries to help you find the most cost effective AND attractive looking solution.  So few do this these days that it was much appreciated.   I really could go on and on about the little things that impressed me, so I'll list them quickly: - Super straight forward and honest.  He'll tell you like it is and knows his stuff. Excellent communicator.   - Seems like he could do most jobs, big or small. Absolutely not a clean & professional job. If I could give a ZERO I would. See the pictures below. Upon completion, Daniel and his brother dumped the cement waste in our succulent garden killing the plants in our landscape. We did not see this upon their leaving and taking $250 payment, because it was away from the home and away from the wall that was repaired. When I contacted them about the cement dumped on our plants, he hung up the phone and never replied. This is the worst experience I have had for a handyman service. All they want is to get more money from you even after they gave a low initial quote, then raised more when negotiating the contract. Then on the day of actual work, they tried to argue and get more for every little thing they said is not on the contract. They have already done the site inspection beforehand for god's sake! The guy they sent to work on the job doesn't speak English and was not really interested in doing a good (or any) job, and had to call his boss to confirm everything before he would do it. My advise: if you want to hire him, make sure you have every details on the contract (since he doesn't write good contracts and they are difficult to understand in the first place). Don't believe it when he said he will take good care of things. read more
