I had a few simple repairs done in my home. I was not home at the time of the completed work but my fiancé was home. He unfortunately doesn't notice defects like me. When I got home and saw the work I was not happy. I called and texted the owner and sent pictures of the sloppy work. Did not hear back that day or the following day either after calling and texting AGAIN. Finally emailed him that evening after 24 hours of no response. He reaches out and asked I send photos (which I already sent the day of the repairs). He called me the next morning, but maybe that's because I threatened to report this horrible job to the BBB. He didn't even apologize or elect to discuss the repairs or my concerns just scheduled a time to fix the poor job. To my surprise he sends the SAME handyman to come back out. Same handyman came back out and was defensive about his poor work and overall this made it a very uncomfortable situation. He fixed his sloppy work which was better. Sure. Was it amazing, not really but way better than his first job. Did the owner ever follow up after that? Nope! Does it seem like he cares, not at all. Honestly a good business owner would address the concerns in a timely manner and maybe even come out himself to fix the sloppy job but I guess he's too busy turning and burning jobs. Overall, If you want quality service and RESPONSIVENESS I would not recommend this company. read more

Booking was fast and easy- then it all went downhill from there. On service day handyman Kevin called me lost and kept claiming he could not find my address and we needed to reschedule. Somehow he made it 20 min later- asked to do a drywall repair to remove a mantel, install ceiling light, hang a mirror, and install lighting pendant. Work was atrocious the first go around- you could see the fencing in fireplace, paint completely uneven, ceiling fan didn't work and they left without saying anything! No payment no bye- with 4 people in the house upstairs! Called David and he said they would come back in 2 days to fix- i figured I would give a second chance- same guy came back claimed the battery was not working and honestly the fan remote takes several clicks for me to get anything to work. a few days later- I noticed he left my fire place mantel on the side of my house with nails and didn't even dispose of it! It was my first time using them, and it was easy to get an estimated quote and set up an appointment by providing pictures of the drywall and baseboard/toekicks I needed to repair in my bathrooms and kitchen due to water damage. They sent reminders and really appreciated that they provided pictures/videos of the completed work on the itemized invoice they emailed me (I was able to see exactly what I was charged and for what -material/labor; I wasn't present at the time of service , someone else was but I wanted to see the completed work). I needed to hang a bunch of guitars, but was very concerned about hiring the right person. After much research, I decided on OC Handyman and am very glad I did. David showed up on time, was very no nonsense, clearly knew what he was doing, and after only about an hour the job was done and done well. He also re-hung a towel hook in my bathroom which seems like a small thing, but his suggestions actually made it look and work better than what the remodeler had originally done, and all for a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier and I'm already planning to have him come back for some other projects (Including more guitars!). Update: More guitars! But this time in a stairwell, and with an angle so they needed to be mounted sloping downward to follow the contour of the stairs (if that makes sense. See pic!) I had a different idea about how to mount them, but after some discussion and David's input we decided the single line was best, and boy was it. Nothing but compliments and I can't be happier with how it looks. I was very concerned about how secure they would be, but he got them all mounted into beams and it looks like a very professional art or museum display. Called to have some carpet removed from the garage of my rental asap. I called mid-week and they were able to come out that weekend. Kevin went out there and removed and disposed of all the carpet, much of which had gotten wet from the rain, and cleaned up any residual glue that was left. David and his team were at our home for two days in June, patching numerous drywall holes. Also on their itinerary was replacing a kitchen faucet and hanging an entry light from our vaulted ceiling. Per our request, David and his team all wore masks. The two members of his drywall team were very detailed with preparing their work areas all throughout our home to prevent spills and overspray, as well as cleaning up after themselves when they were done. One of the drywall holes was located within a kitchen cabinet. David's tech deserves a medal for his heroic effort in patching the hole in such a tight space! All the work was completed within David's original time estimate and price. David was very attentive to customer communications, both prior to and after completion of the work.
