Attended Hrock pre covid with my family can't wait to go back and join again. The church grounds and the building is just breathtaking, really gives us a tiny glimpse of heaven. I was invited by my friends to attend harvest rock a few years ago. Since I live closer now, I've come here with my family more often. Pastor Che is a gifted speaker and always filled with the spirit. I applaud his boldness to talk about the current topics of this nation which might not be very digestible to lukewarm Christians. In my honest opinion , I visited this church years ago and I loved it because it felt so welcoming and genuine. So, I recently decided to visit again because I was going through turmoil, needed community, and wanted to hear the word of God. (Any type of scripture for that matter) I decided to go on weekday night service; unfortunately, I only heard the pastor preaching about politics and his opinions about what's wrong with the world. My family and I attended HRock for several years off and on. We streamed online during COVID and tithed weekly. We stand behind them, and any church, and their right to be open during COVID19 and it should be the members personal choice if they want to attend. Unfortunately, I do not agree with the political and divisive statements that have been ongoing for the past month. I tune in to church to hear the word and the truth, but today I felt like I was at a Trump rally. The pastor made remarks regarding Black Lives Matter, Marxism, etc and it was hard to sit through. I felt like I was in a chat room on Facebook. During these difficult times, I personally would steer away from negativity and I just felt negative energy coming from the pastor today. Worship is always great, but the word and message recently has been disappointing, divisive, and I just can't connect with it. There was literally people in the online chat saying "Trump 2020". I thought we were here for God!!! Not Trump. I thought we were here to praise and worship our Savior, not Trump. Absolutely cringeworthy service. HRock (Harvest Rock Church) is cultish at best and a cult at worst. Preface: I was attracted to HRock because of its charismatic body. I believe that what happened in the Book of Acts still can and does happen today. I'd gone to this church on-and-off for 10 years, where tithed weekly on Sundays and joined the young adult group. However, I came to realize that HRock is cultish at best and a cult at worst. Why I left: While HRock believes in the gifts of prophecy and tongues, which are Biblical, the church also believes in and preaches false doctrines. See below for details. (1) *** Prosperity gospel *** Their pastors and leaders flaunt exorbitant lifestyles -- basically, what you see on PreachersNSneakers (please Google it). While Christians don't need to live an austere lifestyle, certain things are simply unbeneficial and may even cause others to stumble (1 Corinthians 10:23; Matthew 18:6). This is especially true when you live in a place with great economic inequality like Los Angeles. LA County has over 65,000 homeless people, many of whom reside in Pasadena, and the church doesn't do anything to help as far as I know. HRock also sells many "spiritual" products such as conferences, sessions, and classes. HRock constantly tells us to "radically give," citing Pastor Ché Ahn as the exemplar. According to Ché, he tithes half of his income and we should follow suit to similarly reap financial rewards. Of course, if this was true, Ché's money would go to his ministries and then directly back to his pockets. I remember altar calls where he'd urge members to donate $10,000's. (2) *** Cult of personality *** Next, the church worships Ché Ahn (aka "Papa Ché"). I don't know how to begin summarizing my experience, but I'll do my best. For his 60th birthday, Ché had a Hollywood-theme birthday party -- with a professional customized backdrop of his name. The church SOLD tickets to this party. I don't remember the exact range, but it was something ridiculous, like $50-150 per ticket depending on your seats. The church had said controversial things like "Papa Ché is the leading voice of the revival," "He hears God's voice clearer than anyone else," and "You MUST only go to HRock, or you will miss out on God's movement!" HRock would brag how Ché planted 25,000 churches worldwide. (Is this guy Apostle Paul on Adderall?) I question the validity of this claim and would love to see their calculation method. Over time, being in HRock feels like living in a politico-religious regime, where the supreme leader is an all-perfect, omnipotent demigod. (3) *** MAGA supporters *** HRock leadership unequivocally supports Trump. On the Eve of November 2016 and 2020, Ché urged the church to vote for Trump. Nevermind about his blatant sexism and racism, empathy for neo-Nazis and hate groups, numerous adulterous affairs, lies and conspiracies, lewd comments about his own daughter, etc. HRock even went as far as saying no other presidents have done more for Christianity than Trump. They've also circulated the conspiracy that the 2020 Presidential Election was rigged (https://youtu.be/RlcBggk9_KE?t=527). Ché's preached, verbatim, "They put a pause on counting, and when they picked up again, all these votes came out of nowhere." HRock delivered so many of these Trumpist, conspiratory messages instead of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (4) *** COVID superspreader *** HRock sued the Governor of California for the right to gather during the pandemic. Since COVID has started, they continue to gather inside the auditorium. Masks are not enforced. One of the pastors (with the initial J.K.) was even on stage in one of Sean Feucht's many COVID superspreader concerts (again, Google if you haven't heard). I'm truly appalled when I see professing Christians openly rebelling against the "law of the land" when it doesn't violate God's law. To me, such unlawful defiance is not only illegal but also unholy. It's pride, not love (Philippians 2:3). I've deliberated over this post. I've avoided sharing my experience publicly for years until now, but given the state of our country, I believe that my post is timely. TL;DR: HRock is preaching theologically deleterious and politically incendiary messages. I pray that, if I'm delivering a false message, God would correct me and spare you from receiving my message. Church shopping is exhausting. What I'm looking for is for a church who is alive. Who listen and actually practice what God says in Scripture. When I walked into Hrock I found that. There was no agenda, no script yet it was organized. It was clear their leaders spent time with the Lord and it was in abundance they ministered to their congregation. They definitely practice what they preach too. They're not elevating an individual or their brand, but lift up different voices, skills, and people to edify the body. I am currently a member of Harvest Rock Church. I am a long time member and I have to say my rating reflects certain experiences I've had and not how I view the heart of this church overall. Overall, I feel like the Senior Pastor, Pastor Che, really does try to invoke the heart of God in his teachings to the congregation. I have seen his passion and convictions both taught and lived out in his life over the years and it has inspired me greatly. I don't agree with everything that he says sometimes, but I really do feel like he teaches from a place of humility. And that is honorable. I have been to many churches over the years and I have to say he comes across as one of the most sincere of the many pastors and leaders I've met. I did not give this church a full rating because while I believe the Senior Pastor and his wife are sincere, there are many in the congregation who use the name of Harvest Rock For their own personal benefit. First, I have to say that no church is perfect. And Harvest Rock is no different. Immediately I will say this church is very large and its congregation has a tendency of generating "clicks". This can be considered groups of people who choose to socialize and hang out with one another based on common interests, likes, beliefs, age and sometimes social status. (This is NOT to be confused with the life groups. These clicks are their personal preferences of friend groups) I have personally felt like it was a popularity contest when it came to the group you decided to run with. But I suppose it's a Hollywood thing. This can sometimes make it hard to initially make friends because everyone is already tied to their preferred group of people. I have personally experienced this and have spoken to others who have experienced it as well. And I guess you can consider the people who were closest to the Senior Pastor and his family the coolest "click" of all. And when you have achieved this level of popularity, they can do no wrong. This brings me to the life groups. When you have a Leader who is close to the Senior Pastor promoting agendas outside of the teachings of the church for their own personal gain, this can be dangerous. I have personally witnessed this in a life group and there were many in this group who were hurt and robbed. The life group led by Ellen A. and her partner John in Monrovia is the life group this scam was promoted in. Both Ellen and John promoted a new technology which they just called 'AI' (Yes, AI as in "Artificial Intelligence). They said it was a technology that could truly reveal the heart of a person. Aside from that, there was no tangible evidence of what this technology was or what it actually did aside from the aforementioned description. They instructed everyone in the cell group to donate whatever money they could, savings, 401(k)s, etc. to invest in the development of the AI technology because once it went IPO in the month of November everyone would get double or more of a return back in their investments. Ellen said this was guaranteed and was the will of the Lord. He was in this investment and would bless us for sowing out money. Many people signed up with her and filled out the forms for transferring their retirement savings, overall savings and whatever money they had into this investment. The funds went to a company called "Wild Rabbit" and the contact for that company was some one called Syl by Ellen. November of the year came and went and there was no update about the investment. Eventually December and the new year came and there was no update or notification sent regarding the technology or if it went IPO or anything. When questioned Ellen just referred everyone to Syl. Syl in turn made empty promises and did not allude to anything being done with the money or anything being done in his company regarding the technology. This continued for months and to this day there has been no return on investment. Thousands of dollars has been given to Ellen based on what was a supposed word of the Lord. And this was all done under the covering of a Harvest Rock Cell group. I wonder if Pastor Che knew about this? And if he did, would he support it? Since she is close to him and his family, I'm not sure if they have tried to hide this wrong or are just oblivious to it. Many have lost their entire life savings based off of this scam and it's heartbreaking. When things like this happen, this puts a large hole in the heart of many Christians who trust the leaders of the church. And when those leaders misuse that trust and steal from vulnerable Christians there has to be some sort of accountability. To this day, I'm not sure of anyone who was able to get the full return or refund of their money from the scam. NOT BIBLICAL. Beware. After moving to Pasadena, I was searching for a new church home. The worship in the beginning seemed biblical enough, and beautifully performed, but when it came time for the actual service...I have to say, when I was there, it wasn't biblical. They had a resident prophetess, which I've never heard of in the bible. She gave prophecy specific for this HRock church, and she said things that were contrary to scripture. It was all focused on riches and success. I was reminded of 1 John 4:1. 1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. read more

Che An acts as a charlatan, scammer and money grubber at best. I've visited a few times and have been abhorred. The first time I visited, Che An did what he thought he'd never do. He held a gold drive inspired by a supposed box of gold jewelry left anonymously on his chair and a congregant who suggested having one since gold is high in price. He thought people may not want or be able to give cash but they may have gold jewelry! (Especially the elderly) As he went on to explain he never dreamed he'd ever do this (but there he was doing it!), but he wanted to purchase the property next door that cost millions. Greed dripped from his lips as he lusted for and coveted this property. The second visit was just as disturbing if not more so. During the offering time, Che An had an individual who was quite animated jumping up and down and running around on stage and through the aisles trying to get the crowd in a frenzy with excited words how God had blessed financially those previous who gave beyond their means in poor countries he's traveled to. He kept going on for over half an hour compelling the crowd to write $10,000 checks! He kept going on and on until he got the number of $10,000 checks "God" told him to get from those who have never done that before. He used guilt and manipulation as if God would be disappointed and not bless you if you didn't give until it hurt. All the while you sat back and smiled Che An. You are sick indeed! This is to Che An: You, your wife, and children involved in this "ministry," REPENT, you are one of those false prophets who say, "didn't I heal and cast out demons and perform miracles in your name?" God will say, "Depart from me; I NEVER knew you!" And you will be cast into outer darkness. Che An you have the spirit of Mammon; you are a wolf in sheep's clothing. You sheer the flock of God for your own gain. You prophet off those who are thirsty and desperate for a touch of God. You make God's house into a den of thieves. You are of the same spirit of those money changers in the temple who were cheating the people with unjust prices when Jesus came in and cleansed the temple . You act in the spirit of Judas who would steel money from Jesus himself and eventually betray him with a kiss and for 30 pieces of silver. That is YOU Che An! To those who are part of this "ministry," the same goes for you because you participate in the same spirit. REPENT AND LEAVE! To the congregants: You may have been ministered to, you may have been healed, you may have even felt a touch of God, but there is mixed fire there, don't be fooled! I love this local church body which is the reason why I have made it my home. Located in Pasadena's historic Ambassador Auditorium, it is beyond gorgeous. The premises surrounding the building are full of beauty: extravagant mansions, luxurious green grass, magnolia trees, fountains, and streams running throughout the entire property. My friends and I often enjoy picnicking outside on a sunny day, watching wedding parties getting their photos taken and people walking their dogs. In front of Ambassador Auditorium is a magnificent flying egret fountain that glistens with rainbows in the day and gold lit water at night. Follow the pathway leading to Ambassador's doors and you will find a radiant crystal chandelier, 24-carot gold leaf covered ceilings, onyx walls, hand sown carpet from India, not to mention Aquafina water in the drinking fountains and richly designed bathrooms. Ambassador Auditorium is often referred to as the "Carnegie Hall of the West" for its excellent acoustics. A visit here 30 years ago and you would have seen music legends like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald perform. This musical tradition lay wait in hibernation for about a decade when the original owners put the building up for sell, being gradually and increasingly awakened ever since HRC's acquisition of Ambassador in 2004. Today you are able to find regular performances by Pasadena Symphony and other Los Angeles County talents as well as being able to spot it in MTV's production of Dream Girls. There is currently a congregation of 1000 + people, but for the most part attendees are visiting from around the area, different parts of the country, not to mention all around the world*. In fact, when I first started to frequent HRC, I was just passing through. The only reason I even decided to step foot into this place was because I was a burnt out Christian desperate to encounter God and bored of visiting churches in the US that have a form of godliness, but deny its power. My 2 hour round trip commute from my home in Riverside to get there did not even deter me, it was worth it all. During the first few months of my time here, I was able to meet with God corporately which translated into me discovering how to meet with Him in a deeper way individually and that has been the greatest gift of all. After six months I was healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and headed off to New York to complete my bachelors degree. I never expected to return after college, but the people at HRC had become more of a family to me then I realized~ I am forever connected in fellowship with this local church and cannot imagine a time in my life where I would be able to be without them. To say in the very least I am one satisfied "customer", having been attending here for 3 going on 4 years now, with no signs of retreating. So if you were like me having become desperate to find a local church body where God's presence moves and dwells or even just curious to see if He exists, HRC is a place to check out. Every Sunday morning first time visitors have the option of receiving personalized prophetic words (aka God speaking) that are recorded and given to them as a gift. People often come here to get healing and breakthrough with many testimonies of people being miraculously healed and having divine encounters with God during and following the preaching of the gospel. I came here a couple times during my search for a new home church. The venue is very beautiful, like everyone has already stated. Guest parking is easy to find and very convenient. I think the regular attendees park in the parking structure just past the guest parking lot. They also have another parking lot on Green for regular attendees to use. Both times I attended the 11AM service. I must have come too early the first time since there were no greeters (I think they were still setting up), but I was very warmly greeted the second time I came. They don't have a bulletin that they hand out or anything for you to take notes on the sermon, but they do have an information table with many brochures and handouts on their various ministries. What I really liked here was the praise/worship. I could really see the passion that the praise team had while they were singing and it was nice to see many of the attendees express their passion as well (lifting of arms, dancing in aisles, etc). It felt a bit like a concert because the lights would change colours, there were people in the front of the stage like a mosh pit, etc. The only slight criticism that I have for the praise portion is that it is very long... it goes on for at least an hour if not more (the entire service lasts 2 hours). The first time I went, there was no sermon, which was a first for me. The senior pastor was in Korea so his son came out to preach, but then he felt called to lead everyone in prayer for healing so he spent the rest of the service time doing that. It was a very interesting experience; it was kind of like being at a church retreat in a way. It was kind of emotionally draining for me, which is why it took me about a month to come back to see what service would be like with an actual sermon. This time I brought a friend, Jin C., and unfortunately we didn't care for the sermon. It didn't resonate with us, which is why we ultimately decided that this wasn't the place for us. I grew up in the church as my dad was a pastor and I know there is no such thing as a perfect church. I give it 5 stars because of the humility of the Pastor Che. He is so real when he preaches. He doesn't preach at you but he speaks from someone that has made the same mistakes I have and encourages you to take steps to be a better person and follow Christ. I've been going for over 10 years I don't do kool aide If I've drunk the kool aid I'd have to say that the version I drank must be the 100% fruit kind. The bible based teachings have caused me to grow. YOU KNOW THEY ARE MY DISCIPLES IF THEY HAVE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. I have found a lot of loving people at HRock over time. One pastor brought me food when I had just had my baby，another when I lost my job. Another pastor prayed with me late in the night till I could overcome emotional issues Other pastors took in a foster family of three I knew. Another pastor checks in on my well being from time to time even though they do not have to. I have had a lot of great experiences with the leadership. I have heard Che Ahn apologize for mistakes he has made in his teaching. I respect when a person can acknowledge their need for growth. One bad Is is that it is sometimes hard to get to know each other if you do not join a small group or take a class. The teaching is that tithing was established before the law with the occasion that Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything. A common scripture referred to is Malachi 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." It is taught to give to your local church and guests are encouraged to do that, or feel free not to give unless God is speaking to them to give. One pastor Greg Wallace spoke on money and said he counsels some that they should not tithe if they are in debt. I think he mentioned the scripture about being in debt to no man. Money is taught about and perhaps more than other churches. HRock teaches about some of the issues such as sex, money, addictions, or other issues sometimes avoided in other churches that can also be large parts of life. I think teaching on it is important. Money can be used for good or evil, and it is a large part of our daily lives. In response to considering the other different and negative reviews: I would say I see where you may be coming from. It is a place that is far from perfect. I would consider are the writers keeping the 2 great commandments? Love God, love your neighbor. Are their comments patient, kind, not RUDE, not easily angered etc. Do they in their writing demonstrate the fruits of the spirit? Galatians 5 ... Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Ive been at HROCK long enough to see the goods and bads. HRock has been a great place for me to learn how to grow in that 1 Corinthians 13 kind of love. Last Saturday i was here with my friend for the Colburn Orchestra. Actually, because colburn said that if i have a free ticket, my seat is no garanteed, i left home reluctantly. During the dinner before the concert in South Pasadena, i was still hesitated to be here. but, my friend convinced me that this auditorium is pretty and i am gonna love it. So i decided that i will come. When i came to the parking garage, there were some staffs guided us and made us happy. i ve never expected that happened. The parking garage is pretty spacious and easy to access to the main building. As i arrived the auditorium, there were long lines out there as i expected. However, there was a gorgeous fountain and sculptures beside the building. This building is HROCK CHURCH. I couldnt believe this. This is the church. During the intermission, my friend and i came out in order to get some fresh air. It was more gorgeous that the building looks like floating. Around the the building there are water and light to make it romantic. Last Saturday was a full moon so the building, water and moon make one gorgeous picture. I thought long and hard about writing this review. I just hope someone from the staff at HROCK reads it. My friend and I decided to try out HROCK because we ran into someone who goes/serves/preaches at the church at Whole Foods haha. He was friendly and inviting. The worship was amazing even though I didn't know any of the songs. This is a charismatic church... my friend and I grew up in a super super traditional church. We are very conservative. So that was different but it's fine. Everyone worships in their own way. However... after the speaker came up, it started going downhill. The speaker was their head pastor, Pastor Che? I believe. He talked about being in debt. But my friend also came last time and he talked about money as well. He started going on and on about how he has never been in debt. And that he paid off his mortgage in 15 years and on and on about how he's not in debt. AM I IN A SEMINAR WITH ROBERT KIYOSAKI or am I listening to a sermon????????? It's almost like he was bragging about how wealthy he is. I found myself to be very upset. I was thinking to myself WOWWWWWW! I don't know if he speaks about money often due to the demographics of the church??? I have no idea. And first of all..... he's a pastor. Which made me think of so many other things that I do not want to bring up. But anyways. I'm just used to my pastors being more humble. Defffff disappointed. I'm so used to listening to Francis Chan etc... also I didn't really like HROCK's mission statement about what the church believes in or focuses on. My mother had dragged me from church to church since I was little. She brought me to HRock, her now home for their Sunday Morning Service. I have to admit, the place is beautiful. I mean of course it is.. it's in Pasadena surrounded by mansions. People were friendly and there were a lot of people. It wasn't until after their worship.. I began to feel uncomfortable. They were showing a new building they were buying or bought. I don't really know what for.. the place was huge already with I assume three floors, a Youth Building, and some other building. They were showing it and it costed a lot.... then they started a prayer. They were praying for raises, promotions, money. I had never been so appalled. The worship is outstanding but the pastor teaches the prosperity doctrine. We tried the church 4 or 5 times hoping he'd get away from telling people to give, give more, give even if you don't have, etc. but week after week that was always included in his message. He'd give examples of how in the past he gave everything and how God blessed him because of it. Then at the end of the service when it's time to tithe, they'd have what's called "responsible credit card giving." I'm sure many who don't have the money but just sat through a message about "giving all you have and God will bless you" will by faith give using the credit card option. Most people are in debt and don't pay off their credit cards each month and so encouraging people to use their credit cards is incredibly irresponsible of the pastor. It causes them to go further into debt and pay more interest payments each month. This pastor reminded me of Pastor Dollar who does the same thing with his followers. Yes I believe that as Christians it's ok to be wealthy and live a good lifestyle. As a successful business owner, I've had a very blessed life, but that came from hard work, not listening to a pastor who tells you to give and God will give you that wealthy lifestyle. There are no shortcuts and many people are being taken advantage of by pastors like HRock, Pastor Dollar, and others. I also believe that we as Christians should be giving by tithing at least 10%, and that God may call you to give more. When we are obedient, God will bless us. But this prosperity doctrine is not about that; it's a lie to steal from Christians with false hope of a wealthy lifestyle. read more

First of all, God Bless all of us. I know that there are some reviews stating that the church was a super spreader of the virus, or that most of the people seemed to support Trump. Well, I know it is hard to believe how evil our government can be, but now we know (it isn't some conspiracy theory anymore) that the Covid 19 virus was less about the virus and more about the plan for socialism or even a path for complete control of your freedom, rights and even your Christian faith, perhaps a true Christian church should speak out. Please know more young adults are dying right now of suicide than covid! And now Los Angeles once to force a vaccine on our young adults which most of the Scandinavian countries have suspended the use of the vary same vaccine. We are in a serious situation in our state, country and even world. Our constitution which was written by Christ loving Americans is being compromised in every way you can imagine. So bravo for the church speaking their truth, if we don't have a church to stand up with, then we will lose our complete freedom and perhaps even our right to practice Christianity. Remember, you have a choice to go to any church you like, and a church should have the freedom to speak their truth. read more

I love Hrock. It's my home church, and I believe God led me there. One thing I'd like to address is the review 2 spaces below me by Greg Y. From my experience in the church for the past 2 years, Che Anh is really the opposite. He gives half of his income into the church and sharing the gospel overseas in missions. In fact, he says God loves a cheerful giver--we're not obligated to do it out of a sense of guilt or compulsion, and he doesn't ever ask for specific amounts. Plus, the two instances Greg describes have never happened at the church the 2 years I was there. The review is fairly recent, and I'm suspicious because nothing scandalous like his descriptions have ever occurred. Nobody ever runs up and down the aisles, nor does a pastor beg for money! Plus, I don't go to this church for Che Anh. It's about Jesus! You can really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit during worship. I love their messages as well. The focus really is Jesus, and getting closer to God as a son and daughter. I used to feel condemnation and guilt at my old church. Here, it's just love. That's not to say they're easy on sin--it's treated as what it is, sin. However, instead of condemning, we're encouraged and loved and as a result, sin falls into the past. The small groups are great, too. I've been going for about 5 months. From the start, it's been very welcoming. Pastors have even been going to coffee shops just to encourage and love on me, and talk about anything. There is a lot of love here, and it's all about Jesus. read more

Was in the area to attend The Call - Azusa Now, which was an awesome, lifetime event! Was so glad to be able to attend HRock Church. I had friends with me from South Carolina & Hawaii that were excited to attend Pastor Che's church. However, we got a little lost in the area as it was unfamiliar to us. We arrived at 11:45 am for the 11:30 service, and was told we as visitors could not park in the visitors, and that it was for handicap vehicles only. Okay, so I asked where can I go to park? Parking attendant & officer shrugged and said they didn't know...?! We ended up parking at another parking lot up on the hill which felt like 3 blocks away, praying our car wouldn't get towed. HRock, please make parking available to your 1st time visitors! By the time we got to the service, it was offering time... :) Sat in the balcony. The church is in a beautiful location. We came through the side doors, and weren't greeted, so we didn't know exactly where bathrooms or extra seating were. The ushers to the front of the doors to the sanctuary were engaged in conversations with other members. The only folks that spoke to us were also there for The Call, from Canada, Chicago & Florida at the end of the service, while we were in line at the bookstore. The service, (remaining 30 minutes we caught) was definitely heart-warming. Before leaving the balcony, we met up with a couple who asked us to pray for his mother who was using a walker, when an usher informed us we needed to leave, as the balcony was getting ready to close. We prayed anyway. I am not sure if it was just us, but it was warm in the sanctuary while it was cooler outside. I did see a few people fanning themselves, so maybe wear something light. Don't normally leave reviews on churches, but really thought the overseers of HRock Church should be made aware...maybe it would help to be a little more sensitive to those who aren't members or normal attenders? If anyone plans to attend this church for the first time, plan to arrive more than 15 minutes before service starts. You will not regret it. I am bummed I missed the worship, as I was really looking forward to it. Next time I visit, I will definitely plan to arrive 30 minutes earlier. read more

Being born and raised Catholic my whole life and after being saved on 9/9/99, I must say that HRock is by far the most amazing church that I have been a part of. It is an extremely beautiful church to be part of and the Holy Spirit shows up there like no other church I have ever been to. Pastor Gabe is an absolute gift from God. His parents are the lead pastors and are also heaven sent. I love HROCK and I invite anyone that is ready to be moved, transformed & in need of healing to attend HROCK. I have read all of the negative reviews and I cannot believe what people would say such horrible things that are untrue. I am there every Sunday without fail and at times during the week and never ever ever have I seen any of the things that people have written. It is a bible based church and I invite you to attend and see and feel for yourself. You and your heart will feel the love. I promise you. I give HROCK & the Worship team 5 stars. read more

Glad I found this place due to a friend. I went to another church before, but my schedule forced to me look for a place that had service earlier. I like this place due to the archititure and the presence of the Lord here. I never felt any discomfort around here and is looking forward to being here a long time. read more

This is a wonderful and welcoming church. After a 20 year absence of going to church, I was encouraged by a friend to give it a try and it's been a wonderful experience! My husband, who has never been to church before, is going with me and also enjoying as well. The service starts with 45 to 1 hour worship. This is just a time for you to commune and praise God. You can do this standing or you can sit down if you don't feel like it. You don't have to sing if you don't want to. I've seen people read the Bible during this time and to soak up the heavenly spirit. The sermon is wonderful, especially when Pastor Che is speaking. He always makes his sermons relevant to everyday life. There is always one or two things that make you think, "Hmmmm.....this directly impacts my life." The people are so welcoming! Everyone is super friendly and looking to connect with others. HRock offers many opportunities to fellowship as well as additional sessions to delve deeply into the Bible or other aspects of christian living. If you are used to going to a church that has a structured service and pastoral hymns, this church will be a big change for you. I encourage you to give is a few Sundays before you deciding that this church isn't for you. For me, I grew up in a Pentecostal church.....so this wasn't far off from what I've experienced before. read more
