Friendly people, good food on the highway. Oh and good coffee! I enjoyed my meal and was happy to have found Harvester.

Happy to see this wonderful country resto back to it's A+ game. They could rename themselves The Comfort Food Palace, and it would be apropos. Come hungry is an understatement, and while menu prices are definitely 2024, you will be bringing home a treat. If they are known for a specific item, it would definitely be their Mozzarella Sticks--which are almost calzone-like, but uniquely deep fried. Leave your dietary mindfulness at home and dip one of those babies in the huckleberry sauce. Staff is always country friendly, and the nice owner always says hello and checks on ya. 'Worth the drive' is a repeated sentiment, but it is pretty accurate...

Stopped off hwy 195 at Spangle at a restaurant for a quick lunch on our way home. This is one of those restaurants that you remember going to years ago and I'm assuming it has been there for years also. Just a country homey feel with good old fashioned cooking. Huckleberry shake with the metal cup and a spoon. Club sandwich and a side salad. Hit the spot. Took home the extras. It was a nice roadside rest stop.

This is definitely a traditional American diner, and the menu is what you would expect for that type of restaurant. For people who like that type of menu, you're in luck. I'm just not that thrilled with the traditional American diner menus and usually end up with fish and chips. Although my mom had the biggest chimichanga that I've ever seen, and she ate almost all of it (so that is a pretty good recommendation if you like deep fried Mexican food). I will say that the coleslaw that came with my fish and chips was perfect! There wasn't a lot of dressing on it at all (thank you, thank you), and it tasted pretty fresh. My chips were good, especially doused with a healthy dose of malt vinegar. The fish, well, it wasn't the best that I've ever had nor was it the worst. I'd eat it again, especially if they still have any malt vinegar after I used almost the entire bottle on my fries and fish. There was a cod plate on the menu that was tempting, and if I end up here again for lunch or dinner, I may have to try that. I'll update this if and when that happens. There is a huge parking lot and an area for a bigger group inside. The waiter and waitress were small town friendly, which is a nice plus!

The Harvester is amazing! I keep coming back here for the delicious food and milkshakes. So far, I've had the Rancher, the outlaw steak sandwich, and fish and chips, all of which were delicious. The service is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. I would recommend everyone to come visit.

We zero in on epicenter bar and grills in small towns, and these folks were right in our wheelhouse. Decades old feel, clean, lots of families, and a solid bar menu with all the standards. Just what we were looking for. I'll refrain from a lengthy dissertation on the delicious food, but will mention that when they offer Steak Bites on the menu, they mean it. Some places give you breaded shoe leather--this joint gives you beeeeef. Well seasoned and tender, as well. I pissed off the bartender with an 8 % tip Jae/Jeanine, due to her being rude, and she called the sheriff on me and my wife for drunk driving after we had 2 beers. Insane! I used to love eating here every 6 months. I no longer feel welcome. If you are from out of town, not born or raised in Potlatch, you will be shunned and treated as an outcast. Its your money and you should spend it as you please but I wouldn't recommend spending it here. Go to the Palouse Caboose or Palouse Brewery where the staff is professional and courteous.
