I've been coming here for more than 15 years and will continue to as the food and service are consistently very good. It's also a nice stop on motorcycle road trips to either grab breakfast on the way out of Spokane, or grab supper before getting back home. This place exemplifies the rural small town diner experience and they do it well. Daily specials that are unique and regular menu items are never a miss. Standouts for me: Palouse Omelette, Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf, and my ultimate fav, Outlaw steak Sandwich. Melissa and Brent own the place and are usually on site ensuring customers are taken care of. Locals are always friendly to us outsiders as well. Again, small town America at its best. Come hungry is an understatement, and while menu prices are definitely 2024, you will be bringing home a treat. Stopped off hwy 195 at Spangle at a restaurant for a quick lunch on our way home. This is one of those restaurants that you remember going to years ago and I'm assuming it has been there for years also. Just a country homey feel with good old fashioned cooking. Went here for a "paint nite" with a friend. I ordered a half Chicken Fajitas salad. The lettuce was fresh and grilled chicken & a few peppers & onions were fine - not horrible but decent - I would order it again. This is definitely a traditional American diner, and the menu is what you would expect for that type of restaurant. For people who like that type of menu, you're in luck. I'm just not that thrilled with the traditional American diner menus and usually end up with fish and chips. Although my mom had the biggest chimichanga that I've ever seen, and she ate almost all of it (so that is a pretty good recommendation if you like deep fried Mexican food). I will say that the coleslaw that came with my fish and chips was perfect! There wasn't a lot of dressing on it at all (thank you, thank you), and it tasted pretty fresh. My chips were good, especially doused with a healthy dose of malt vinegar. The fish, well, it wasn't the best that I've ever had nor was it the worst. I'd eat it again, especially if they still have any malt vinegar after I used almost the entire bottle on my fries and fish. There was a cod plate on the menu that was tempting, and if I end up here again for lunch or dinner, I may have to try that. I'll update this if and when that happens. There is a huge parking lot and an area for a bigger group inside. The waiter and waitress were small town friendly, which is a nice plus! read more

Husband and I decided to stop for dinner after a Craigslist purchase meet-up in Spangle. Service was good, food not so much. They were not busy and we had to wait a very long time for our orders to arrive. Husband's turkey melt was not toasted, but rather overly fried and greasy. French fries that came with it were quite good though. My lemon pepper cod was overcooked and tough. It was supposed to come with rice and instead came with a mound of mashed potatoes drowning in gooey brown gravy that tasted like a powered packet mix. We paid easily twice what the food was worth. The breakfast menu is different from the lunch menu. There is a bar area as well as room to seat a large group for a meeting. The food is hearty and the serving size is generous. The parking lot is spacious with room for large vehicles. I ordered the hamburger with French fries. The burger was quite tasty and the fries were excellent, although maybe a little too salty. The food was served quickly. The waitress refilled the water glasses frequently. One of our group had a Chimichanga and it was huge. This place is so friendly and down home. The menu has a great taco salad and my daughter loves the tater tots. They have a nice family menu with breakfast, salads, burgers, meatloaf. And even open on Christmas/ Thanksgiving and New Year's! The owner is completely wonderful and is fully committed to her business. She is so community oriented. They have Santa for the kids and she hosts paint nights there. If you want to feel cared for and welcome, you will love Harvester. read more

I definitely underestimated this place. Nice mid trip stop between home and Spokane. The eclectic decorations were great and gave us something to chat about while we wait for our food. The staff were all very friendly, our waitress visited with our toddler while we were ordering making him happy. The menu was one page with two sides but had a little something for everyone. Our toddler got the children's noodles and red sauce and he loved it. Our older son got the chimichanga which was enormous and delicious. We were quickly seated in the back dining section with no other patrons. Our server was friendly and quick to bring the kids water. It was 11:30 and their breakfast menu said served until 11. We did end up asking for lunch menus even though we were told we could still order breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak with brown gravy instead of country gravy. Mine came with two eggs and toast. I ordered scrambled and wheat. It came with two over easy and no toast. I would have said something but I wasn't picky enough, only wish I would have gotten the toast to soak up the yolk. The hash browns were good and the chicken fried steak delicious.
