Was busy running the girls back and forth to dance class and we just didn't have time to put a meal together or go for a decent sit down. We were putting in some fuel (the price of oil went down again but the price of gas was up 2 cents - go figure) at the esso across the road and the Harvey's sign said family bundle for $16.99. Sounds almost too good to be true.
I have eaten here a few times before and my oldest daughter likes it because they always have fresh garden salads available with crunchy lettuce that seem to have been sometime in the last 24 hours.
Back to the deal - two adult burgers with fries (they make decent fries and I like that you salt them yourself) add cheese, one kid burger with salad, one kid finger with fries, 3 bottled water and an iced tea.......... Now wait for it....... $20.98 including tax. That's ridiculous. How can they serve food that cheaply?
I'm not sure Harvey's has the best burger on the planet but the fresh topping and made to order burgers put them top of the fast food pile for me. The young lady dressing our burgers was careful to make them just right, friendly and quick.
After my $20 hamburger experience at A&W a few weeks ago, it amazes me that I can feed my entire family for only a dollar more at Harvey's.
This is a nice clean restaurant too - no dirty tables etc. I would say pride of ownership (I know most of these tend to be franchise).
Good Work Harvey's.
