Love this food and their prices. My favourite is Buffalo Chicken. The crispy chicken and sauce is great. The pulled pork one is also really good. The quality is consistent and staff is always pleasant. I even got their points card which will get you every 10th poutine free. read more

Goo's is a staple in this town - I absolutely love the food, menu, and atmosphere. They continuously go above and beyond whenever I order (which is quite often!), the number of unique menu items (chicken skins, buffalo poutine, and Mac and Cheese wrap are my favourites and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) Goo's Take-Out is the only place i eat when i'm in town. i live an hour away and would drive in just for a Goo Burger anytime! The meat is fantastic! The chicken skin is exceptional! The bun is to die for! and Goo is pretty cool too. They have everything. If you want deep fried, large portioned and inexpensive food, this is the place you want to check out. The beef burrito is a decent size. Fully loaded with all the toppings of your choice and plenty of beef. All wrapped tightly and accompanied by decent side order of fries. The burrito has a nice flavour and texture to it. The fries are good and hearty, not greasy. The curry chicken wings was decent, but the curry flavour wasn't all that outstanding. The wings were deep fried with just the right amount of crispiness. The butter Cajun wings was very heavily spiced, especially with salt. Again the wings were deep fried just the right amount. The pulled pork poutine was a huge hit. It was delicious, with just the right combination of toppings and seasonings. Lots of pulled pork on top and gravies poured over everything. The crackin' poutine was delicious but very fattening and greasy, probably due to the mayo and chicken skin. Interesting topping combinations but it works. A tax too salty, maybe due to the bacon bites. read more

Ordered a whack of wings because we had people over. They arrived 2 hours later because the person who took my order was too busy multi tasking and didn't get my address right. The delivery person called to check our address. I called the restaurant and they didn't know what was going on. While I was on the phone with them the delivery arrived. I was mortified to have paid so much for such dried out, puny, soggy wings and to have to serve them to my company. Go to Zehrs.....16 wings for $10. Small but meaty and really good. read more

OMG did I really eat a deep fried pickle and deep fried chicken skin??? Only in Brantford! There aren't many interesting places to eat in B-Ford, but this new GOO place is definitely one of them. Amazing onion rings and burgers. The poutine is disgusting though. Used mozzarella instead of cheese curds and the gravy was terrible. Overall a good place with great prices. Very disappointed in the poutine though. If it costs a bit more to have cheese curds and a "from-scratch" gravy so be it. I'm sure customers will understand. read more

Deep fried gluten free heaven! While Goo's is not dedicated gf it has a separate fryer for gluten free items. Not the healthiest options but this gluten free person gets tired of salad and plain proteins! So many options I had trouble deciding and Goo kept making suggestions which only made it harder! I finally settled on a poutine with fresh cut fries, gravy, cheese curds, breaded chicken fingers, ranch sauce and mild wing sauce. So damn good but definitely a treat! The non gf hubby had a fresh beef burger which he raved about. You know a place is good when the locals eat there and Goo greats them by name! Mostly take-out with a few small tables. read more

Their menu is extensive just not much of an ethnic flare. It's a small mom and pop style shop, but quite modern at the same time. The décor is clean and simplistic. GOO was personable and was able to answer all of my questions. The options are quite diverse. The food is all deep fried so it does tend to be on the greasier side so be cautious. Had the pleasure of eating here tonight. One quality I admire most is when a customer walks in and the staff (who's taken the time to get to know my dad as well as other customers) acknowledges us and ask how he is doing.... common good feelings already, but the food. So I got the buffalo poutine being a huge fan of buffalo anything, wasn't too acidy like buffalo can be and the gravy was out of this world, I'm 6'1 220lbs and took some home!. Then I got some curry wings. Just getting back from the Middle East I have high expectations on my Indian food in general and let me just say I was impressed, not only with the wing size and quality but the curry sauce was on point (not too spicy though if that's how you like them I'm sure he can do that for you). I could go on and on, but over all I am a fan. He does a great job and my dads gf is celiac so they always have a good rep of making sure all her food is cooked away form gluten to make a truly gluten free meal. I live in Brantford but am originally from Waterloo where I used to partake in Sonny's Burgers quite regularly when in the mood for a homemade style burger & fresh cut fries. I have been searching for the past 3 years for something similar & well serendipitously I found it!!! GOO's is AMAZING. The burgers are almost like my husband's homemade burgers he makes himself with the meat from his butcher. Apparently, at GOO's, they have a butcher that makes their burgers as well -- no fillers, no preservatives & same goes for the fries. Yes, it's deep fried food but at least it's REAL food. Treat yourself to a burger you'd make on your own bbq & fresh cut fries that you don't have to take the time to wash, peel, cut & fry :) At FIVE dollars a burger with fries, what do you have to lose? My friends and I drove across the city for deep fried ice cream, get there and told they are out of ice cream? Who runs out of ice cream on a Wednesday when its 0 degrees? Btw there is a convenience store next store, damn near impossible to run out of ice cream. Won't be going back with that kind of service, there's only 2 desserts on the menu to begin with. read more
