The spa is located on site at the JW Marriott resort. If I understand correctly, there are locals that are members of this club and use the services along with guests. My husband and I scheduled facials over 30 days before our check-in date of our stay. We flew in on a Sunday and on Monday I got a phone call from the Spa informing us that they couldn't take us at our scheduled time but they would be happy to bump us up earlier midday. Keep in mind we booked the last appointment of the day because we want the entire day while we're on vacation to enjoy our day to close with spa treatments. The phone call was very professional. I did express my disappointment with having to move us around less than 48 hours before our scheduled times. I shared with the spa while I was grateful for the phone call. I was still disappointed with the abrupt update to rearrange us midday. I almost cancelled us. I tried finding another late day appointment and they shared with us so that wasn't an option even though keep in mind we made our appointments well over 30 days before our arrival. It wasn't until close to the end of our conversation that the caller from the spa said that there was a family emergency and we needed a shift. So my humble opinion if there was truly a family emergency why didn't the phone call lead with that? Why did that not get shared with close to the end of our call my point is it sounded like a staffing issue and if that's the case, I'm OK with the staffing issue just be honest with me. I kept repeating myself saying that I was disappointed, although grateful I felt like there was a gap information and it wasn't entirely truthful. Long story short, we were able to get our services even though we had registered for two facials, The Spa informed us that they could not accommodate a second facial and they could do a massage again we didn't sign up for that over a month before our arrival. My husband gets regular massages at home. I wanted him to experience a facial. Knowing how flexible and accommodating he is, he was happy to take the massage. He's very kind. My facial and his massage were probably the best experiences we've had from those technicians. Brooke was awesome. Regretfully, I can't remember his massage therapist's name, but he said she was awesome and he really enjoyed his experience. When we did check in for our services, staffing looked slim. The girl who walked me through the females locker room, didn't say much outside of where to put your used robe or slippers. She did talk about the lockers and how to get those situated. Overall, I'm glad we had our services and I appreciate the experiences from our direct massage therapist and aesthetician. There are plenty of opportunities for the Spa to flex and adjust how they communicate with their patrons. Grateful though it was a rocky welcome after we checked in for our stay. read more

Absolutely excellent from start to finish. My partner and I came in for Valentine's Day pedicures, and we were pampered the entire time. The spa amenities were incredible offering whirlpools, the relaxation areas, the locker room jacuzzi, the lap pool with those gorgeous views, plus complimentary mimosas and little bon bons that made it feel extra special. The pedicure itself was the best I've ever had, and the whole space was spotless. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The price for what you get is amazing and made the experience even better. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already excited to come back. A perfect spa day experience. read more

Amazing and relaxing spa. The service was amazing and the vibes were over the top. When you walk down the stairs you'll hear the waterfall along the stairs. The lobby waiting area has some aromatherapy sachet that you can make such as lavender, calendula and so much more. Bathrooms and lockers are immaculate clean and super spa vibe. The wide open windows in the waiting area overlook the desert and you just a beautiful relaxing vibe the money you walk in. My husband and I both got the couples massage and mimosas and strawberries after the massage. The massage therapist are great at what they do, the staff is welcoming and sweet. I went to Hashani Spa yesterday with my mom to celebrate my birthday with a signature facial. My facial was amazing with Brooke! However, the actual spa area seemed dirty and in need of a deep cleaning. There was brown looking stains (or scum/dirt) all over the interior of the spa's indoor whirlpool, hairs on the walls of the showers, dried up cucumber slices cemented to the edge of the whirlpool and on the ground in the steam room (indicating they had been there multiple days), and calcium build-up on many of the tiled areas in the showers and the floor of the spa. For the price that Marriott is charging for spa services, they need to do better with cleaning the spa. I will not go back, considering several other resorts in town offer spa services at the same price (or better). I assumed that star pass resort would take better care of their facilities. read more

The Marriott needs to remodel this spa. It is old, from the whirlpool in the women's locker room, to the old prickly velour chairs in the women's spa waiting area. Dried up cucumbers (available for your eyes) stuck on the deck of the whirlpool, and on the floor of the steam room. No trash cans available in the area. Spa robes were not the comfortable spa robe you would expect. They were like oversized sweatshirts. Disappointed is the word that comes to mind. I have been to many spas in AZ, and this one was the lowest. Shame on them for charging what they do for an old facility. Also the only spa I've been to that makes you pay BEFORE your services and adds a mandatory 20% tip! Now I know why... I disagree with the review that said there were 'vibes,' there. My daughter and I both agreed that this was not worth it. Stay away, save your money for a decent experience. Oh, and the facial I had was also subpar. Never again, still shocked that this was a Marriott, as the Marriott Camelback Inn Spa is actually amazing. read more

This is a complaint about a SPA employee, Marissa Bernal Approximately 30 minutes prior to closing I went to shower. A female employee stuck her head into the men's locker room and indicated we had to leave as they were closing. I rushed to finish showering, exited and put a robe on. I then proceeded to leave with my wife. After we were in the main corridor walking back to my room the employee (Ms. Bernal) chased us down and told me that I could not leave with the robe. I was naked underneath and walking with my wife. I told her that I was just going to change in my room and she can collect it. She became belligerent and implied that I was trying to steal the robe (when she had my room number and I had just signed my bill at the Spa) embarrassing me in front of my wife and others. We continued to walk and when almost at my room she called me on my cell phone to tell me I had left my Apple AirPods at the cabana. I then walked back and she refused to give me my AirPods until I gave her he robe and hid them in her hands. I indicated if she wanted to follow me that I was going to file a complaint with the general manager after which she told me that she is good friends with the GM and I can do what I want. At this point she gave me my device back and I went and filed the complaint. They had security come to my room to retrieve the robe which is fine. Spent Father's Day here with my hubby. It's a beautiful spa with many amenities. Soothing water feature sounds surround the entrance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a table with little sachet bags that you can fill with aromatherapy to go! There's plenty of refreshing waters to choose fromfrom, too. Lockers are tricky and had to have staff unlock twice! Steam room in ladies' area didn't work easily, either. We each had 100 minute massages with Brooke & a massage therapist who was new (I forget her name!) Both were great! After, we were offered mimosas or champagne. We opted for the mimosas. Unfortunately, they were served on the warm side & not chilled. Also, they were in plastic (yuck!) champagne "glasses." Not sure why a luxury hotel spa that charges over $400 per massage would serve a warm mimosa in plastic! Also, there was a lady with a crying newborn baby in the common area. Not sure how this happened, as spas are not for children, especially newborns. For this, I cannot give a 5-star rating. Everything else was very nice. read more

Very nice place! Clean and well kept you could easily spend a whole day getting food, massages, steam rooms, hot tubs and more just in the spa not to mention checking out some of the other resort amenities. However, they were not very compromising when we had trouble finding parking at their busy resort. No instructions were provided for spa parking in any of my phone calls scheduling or confirming. We felt rushed and a little overlooked. I understand they have a schedule but it was less than 10 minutes difference when we walked in and when I'm paying over $100 per hour each person you would think the staff would take the time to give you a thorough luxurious experience. Let me start by saying that the couples massage that we got... Was amazing. We paid for the 50 min couples massage. The two massage therapists were wonderful. It was my husband's first time getting a massage, so he was a bit nervous. His therapist was kind and walked him through the entire process. It was my first couples massage, so they explained the process. Such great customer service. However, I couldn't give the spa a full 5 stars. The massage was 190/ per person plus tip. I really hope the therapists received the majority of that. Very expensive. When we first arrived, the front desk was very overwhelmed. I had been told over the phone that we could arrive at 9:30am to enjoy the benefits of the spa before our 11am appointment. There was a line out the door. After finally checking in, they directed us downstairs to get a tour. I received a tour and a rundown of the lockers. My husband was left to fend for himself. Twice, he was advised there would be someone in the locker rooms, but no one showed. He chose a locker on his own and told the staff. Over the phone, I was told I would be able to use all of the resort amenities - lazy river, pool, etc. When I asked how to access those, I was told that I was misinformed and the only included amenities were the sauna, whirlpool (both of which were separated so my husband and I couldn't enjoy together), and the small saline pool. The pool was outdated. It was quite small, and with several other people using the facilities lol, it wasn't amazing. After the massage, I soaked in the whirlpool. When I got out, I noticed my bathing suit and skin smelled musty and moldy, leaving me feeling sick. The spa itself is very clean and relaxing. There is a lounge area where you can hang out after your spa, though it's where everyone enters and exits to the pool area. The other area is segregated and for a couple, wasn't ideal. You leave with a goodie bag of scents, which I found to be a cute touch. Honestly, if my therapists weren't amazing, I wouldn't give it 3 stars. But if you're going for the massage, then it's worth your while. If you want to get a full spa day and pay $500, then this might be your place. Summary: Resort level prices for a basic experience Received a Hashani Signature Massage for my birthday from a friend, so I planned to make a day of it. I arrived about 45 minutes early which was plenty of time to check in and change for my massage. Upon arrival the front desk staff was great and showed me down to the women's locker room. I was given a VERY brief tour of the locker room, hot tub, sauna, and waiting area. I had heard about an outdoor lap pool and hot tub, however was never shown these amenities on my tour. The locker room and facilities were very clean and well decorated. My first issue was with the waiting area. When I'm spending $200 (including mandatory 20% tip) I want to sit and relax the entire time, however the waiting area only has 5 chairs...and way more than 5 people waiting at one time. So I stood and waited for my name to be called for my massage. My massage was great and I would give the masseuse 5/5! Following my massage I returned to the locker room to change. My locker was jammed - probably my fault, but when I tried to find an attendant they all had disappeared. I waited more than 15 minutes in my robe to have someone unlock my locker. As I was getting ready to leave I watched one of the attendants get out of the hot tub and go into the attendants area to change again - I'm all for enjoying your job but for a professional spa this seems to cross the line a bit when I had been attempting to find an attendant to unlock my locker. These small issues aside, as I was exiting I asked one of the attendants about the outdoor area I had heard about and she mentioned that I should have been shown it upon my initial tour so that I could have used those amenities. All in all, not a bad spa day - but would also never pay these outrageous prices for a basic experience again. There are waaaay better places to spend your money on a spa day and receive much better customer service. read more

I had an excellent facial here and my face felt great for much longer than usual. They also gave my friend and I a couple drinks to celebrate her birthday at no additional charge. I wouldn't try to use SpaFinder gift cards here though. They told me when I was checking out (after probably at least 6 hours there) that they didn't have time to figure out how to redeem my gift card and that I would need to call the number they wrote on a post it note to ask for the PIN. I just put the charge on my credit card instead and called this number later on and they said that it was not a customer number and that it was only for the spa to redeem the gift card. I have now been trying to get this resolved with SpaFinder for about a month now. read more

I am a very picky spa person - having been spoiled by Kohler here in Chicago. That being said, this place does it very well! The locker room is great and you aren't on top of people, the waiting area could be a bit larger, but the loungers are super comfortable and it is nice that there is a private outside lounge area from the rest of the hotel. I had a facial done and other than the always painful extraction portion, this was heavenly - so much so that I almost fell asleep. Hot towels galore and yummy cherry yogurt smelling stuff on my face - I am sold. The couple of things I took off a star for: No flat iron and only one hair dryer in the locker room, the showers are really basic - no multi-level shower heads or even a ledge in there, no shoes provided for you with your robe. read more

A get away without getting away. When my BF comes in to town for a visit, we make a habit of trying a different spa at a resort every time. This is the one we have come back to for a repeat visit. Just an FYI, they have a parking lot right outside the spa area for those there to visit the spa. The spa itself is beautiful. The checkin area is very nice and there is a small boutique there that offers all the products they use during treatments. They have tables where food can be ordered and a lounge area that occupies the space between the mens and womens locker areas. The relaxation area in the womens side overlooks a beautiful patio and part of the lap pool. They offer different tea's and water during your relaxation time. In addition, the locker rooms have all the amenities you need. This includes the jacuzzi, steam room, and toiletries. All the treatments I have had have been great. My therapists have all been very welcoming, warm, and knowledgeable. The key to going to a place like this is to get your monies worth. With a treatment, you get full use of the facilities. So go early. Check-in and use the fitness area. Then go relax in the steam room or jacuzzi. From there move on to your treatment. After that, go lay by the pool for the afternoon, order lunch from the grill. If you plan it right, you can have an amazing day at the Spa. FYI, if you are a local, they offer some discounts Mon-Thu. Had prenatal massage w Karen. She was fabulous! I was so relaxed after I was done, I had to sit in the waiting area for a bit before I walked It is a very peaceful spa. The staff gave me a tour and told me about what is so nice about their spa. I don't remember it all, but here are things a saw and remembered. If you need to use the shower, everything you could need is provided (razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, blowdryers, combs, brushes, Qtips, mouthwash ect..) They have a saline pool that I wished I went in. Tea and lemon water for everyone.Also they give you a small sateen baggie to put different herbs or dried flowers in to make a sachet for yourself to take with you. While staying in the resort in mid-October, I had the opportunity to book a facial. In terms of layout and ambiance, it is one of the nicest spas I have been in, and I must admit to being a bit of a junkie with lots of experience visiting spas! When you walk down to the treatment/ locker rooms downstairs from reception, you glide down a curved staircase impressively located next to a 3-story rock feature wall with waterfall. My facial was quite lovely and relaxing (and the esthetician very warm and friendly), but I believe it was a tad expensive/ overpriced. Unfortunately, due to my hubby's conference schedule and his inability to watch our 4yo for a long length of time, I wasn't able to spend any time taking advantage of the general spa amenities (steam shower, pool, hot tubs, etc.). Had I gotten my "money's worth" with the spa amenities, the price for the facial probably would have felt worth it. However, I can totally recommend this as a great place for a friends spa weekend or an all day "staycation" with a partner. If the opportunity arises for me again, I would return for some R&R in a heartbeat, next time scheduling ample time to enjoy the entire spa experience! read more

I would of like to give this place 5 stars as the person doing the facial was excellent. The property was very inviting especially the quiet room. The Jacuzzi and steam room were great! However, if you plan on taking a shower at this location be sure to bring your own comb and brush. I was horrified when I learned that they provided hair dryers but no comb or brush!!! Absolutely fantastic! A friend and I spent the day at Hashani Spa last week and loved it. Great customer service from welcome desk reps to spa attendants to massage therapists. I had the Desert Exfoliation Treatment and came out super smooth. Ask for Sharanne. Very friendly. Make sure to order lunch from the spa service desk downstairs. You put in an order with them, they call it in to the restaurant and it's delivered directly to the spa. Have the Cucumber Margarita. It's very good. After lunch we spent the afternoon lounging about in the spa pool & cabanas. The water was a beautiful temperature. Oh, one more thing - use the sunscreen in the change rooms! Even if you brought your own, try it! It's super smooth, moisturizing, extremely waterproof, and SMELLS amazing. I even ordered some online when I got home. That's how much I liked it! Lol. :) You won't have a more relaxing spa day in Tucson! read more

I had a really solid massage here. I didn't exactly shop around (as we had a corporate retreat at the JW Marriott), but the price wasn't terrible ($180 for 80 minute therapeutic massage) for a resort. The locker room and other facilities were very nice, and my masseuse was very nice and professional. The massage was good but not exceptional. She offered a sinus and head massage that was really nice and relaxing. The table was heated, but was overheated and I was pretty sweaty by the time I turned over. Overall, a nice experience. If I had more time I might have shopped around, but if you're at the JW Marriott for any reason don't be afraid to give the spa a chance. read more

My hubby and I had a spa day; he got a massage and I a facial. We made a day out of it and had a great experience. We swam at the spa pool for a bit then grabbed lunch at the signature room at the resort. And before our service, we spent some time relaxing in steam room and hot tubs. (Which were located in locker rooms.) The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities are nice. We loved that the spa lap pool had cabanas for relaxing out of the sun after swimming. Love love love this spa. Great and relaxing. And Shelley gives wonderful massages! However, recently towels are nowhere to be found. They ought to have some towels by the jacuzzi/steam room, and by the showers (there was only a stack of bath mats by the showers and nothing by the jacuzzi). And at the adult pool just outside the spa there are no towels at all either. You have to go into the spa lobby for pool towels. Also some drinking water at the pool would be nice, and the tranquil music at the pool doesn't seem to be there anymore but would be nice to turn on again. Also would be great to have plastic bags out for wet swimsuits. Other than that, this is my favorite spa. Wonderful place. read more

The facilities are very nice, the locker rooms are emasculate(well at least The ladies is). My mom said she received the best massage she's ever had. Since the lone attendant was not in the area to possibly adjust the temp, I had a luke warm soak followed by a steamless steam room. It was fine. By now I have been to at least ten different spas most at hotels. I am a student in tucson and wanted a massage. I have been to the ritz at dove mountain and loved it but didn't want to drive all the way up there. This spa got good reviews and it is much closer. And it's at a jw it has to be good. The massage itself was very good. This is more for the overall spa. The men's side had no sauna major upset for me. The locker room was nothing great felt run down not a ton of amenities just overall not good. Never really saw the attendant. The spa has its own pool. But it's literally right next to the kids pool. Not peaceful at all. It's small and right up next to the big pool. No pool arrived? No towels by the pool? No water by the pool? It's bizarre there just wasn't anything it didn't make it so it was a relaxing environment. Overall I wouldn't come back. Worth the drive up to dove mountain. Prices are the same anyway. And they charge before the massage and out and automatic tip. Not good I don't want to have to be charged for something before I get the service. Not thrilled. read more
