I would strongly caution any female about getting a full body massage here with the male therapist as he has become very inappropriate and unprofessional. He is very careless with drapping the body which is something I often overlooked because his deep tissue massage was sometimes the only relief I could get from my chronic pain. However, recently, he has taken much greater liberties, deliberately exposing parts of my body and gawking and brushing inappropriately against private parts. The language barrier made it difficult to express my disapproval. In my last appointment, I opted to keep my leggings on, and as soon as he started the massage, he yanked them off forcefully then said it was okay. I received one of the best massages I've ever had. If you love deep tissue, therapeutic type massages, this should be your go to place. I walked in without an appointment which was an added bonus. They also used hot towels and hot stones. It was absolutely fantastic! This isn't a fancy place but if you don't care about that and just care about a great massage, try them out. I was extremely surprised to find an acupressure and reflexology place near me. It is located in the Safeway shopping center on the St Mary's and Silverbell, near Jade Nails, the threading place, cell phone place, and laundry mat. Their hours are Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. When you walk in you will note two massage chairs, two large massage loungers, and several private rooms with sliding cloth curtains. Your choice of massage determines where you go. I chose the 60 minute, $45 massage and was taken to a private room. I'm sure you have the option of clothing removal; however, I chose not to, just my shoes. The 60 minutes was broken into two parts: 40 minutes of upper body and upper legs coupled with 20 minutes of lower legs and feet. Now, if you've never been to a Chinese massage place than you're definitely missing out as you should give it a try. They massage every inch of you, from the tippy top of your head, your third eye, nose, ears, chin, neck, shoulders and then a "regular" massage. The put a towel over the part of your body they are working on and adjust it as necessary. All this followed by a cup of water. I only rated a 4 out of 5 stars because it appeared that the English of the person working with me was very limited. He did not understand anything I was trying to tell or ask him. I came in for a massage. They have a price on display for a service, and then when you pay, they charge you more then the listed price when they ring you up. You bring it to their attention, and they say, "oh, we need to update the price". In my mind...good customer service and ethics is to tell you right up front when you pick the massage, to inform of a price discrepancy. But no! Not here. Here you pick a service based on what the pricing on their board displays, get the massage completed...then they charge you more then the listed price when they ring you up, with no explanation. Best massage I've ever had in my life! I've probably had 40+ massages in my life (I'm big on self care. I also work service industry (where I stand a lot). I workout 5/7 days of the week. I didn't have to tell him anything but my body was in pain, sore and I needed help desperately! I just moved here from below/at sea level area (Florida) to a high elevation climate (Tucson). He didn't really speak much English, which honestly was great! I've had other masseuses that speak fluent English and can have a conversation but some of them couldn't shut up (I can't hold a conversation when I'm getting knots rolled out of me). Anyways - he was experienced and knew what to do. He was meticulous... METICULOUS in his art and knew what he needed to do to help aid my body without me telling him. My upper traps, hips and quads had been hurting and filled with toxicity. It hurt so good! (It is a deep tissue massage, which is the most optimal for blood flow and release of tension for veteran massage clients. Not for people who want someone just to graze them as a "massage"). I've been getting massages long enough that I know the pressure, overall, helps with my blood flow and muscle tension. He managed to roll my knots out and get blood flowing to where I desperately needed it. I'll definitely be back! Definitely once a month! I'll actually be back this week for a cupping appointment...
