Best selection of fine wines around. The staff is always willing to help and explain wines I'm not familiar with.

Updating this shop or shoppe, ahem..they still receive five stars. At their last location they had…read moreone customer parking space in a small parking lot for other businesses. now they have none. That's on St Paul blocking street parking. There is still a great selection of quality wines and the most helpful customer service you'll ever find anywhere. I used to buy a bottle from Georgia, not the state but the republic, (they used to be part of Soviet Union). I say that because some people looked blank when I say it's from the country of Georgia..dude the U.S. state is named after this district in Europe. At any rate stop in and chat wine, check out the craft and finer beers and spirits which have expanded with this location.

(Maybe eight feet wide and twenty feet deep?) I don't know much about wine, since I get sick when I drink reds due to the sulfate, but I dropped by looking for a nice bottle of white to go with some shrimp pasta my girlfriend and I cooked up. The only person working there immediately greeted me, asked about my preferences, and recommended his three favorites bottles. I went with the one made by Ippolito 1845. No pretentiousness. No eye-rolling. Just very friendly and helpful. Not to mention, the price was reasonable. (Maybe around $20?) Other cool tidbits: -Wines are organized by country. -They carry local brands like Famiglia Meschini. -Has a surprisingly solid beer selection. I think the neighborhood has a gem in The Little Wine Shoppe!
