Checked in for precautionary reasons after my doctor told me to go to the ER for some testing. I…read morechose Virtua ER in Berlin as they had the lowest wait times by far. There was only one person in the waiting room when I arrived. I probably only waited 10 minutes from when I arrived to be checked in. The triage nurse who checked me in was really personable and easy to talk to. My wait to be called back after check in was probably only 2 minutes if that. The ER was pretty empty, I think one other bed was taken when I arrived and for a while I was the only patient back. All of the employees, nurses, and doctors I spoke with were all nice and I appreciated the care and services they provided to me. I felt like the facility was clean and had no issues here. Would definitely consider this ER again if I'm in a situation that would require going back. There was one thing I would like to mention - their cat scan machine was down and did not come back up until after 3. This did not impact my visit, but the patient in the waiting room before me needed to go elsewhere as it would have impacted their visit.

1. Billing Office Experience - BALANCE BILLING 2…read more Cardiologist /\Hammonton Office & Galloway Office 1. BALANCED BILLED In January 2024 I went to my primary care PA in Linwood NJ office. She had scheduled two procedures, one with her and the other with Medicare Wellness in October 2023. I was reluctant to do both on the same day back-to-back. Virtua made no attempt to change or modify those two back-to-back appointments. In April 2024 at the beginning of the month, I received a BALANCE BILL for $190. Apparently, my medicare PPO carrier denied Virtua the $190 because the EOB (explanation of benefits) claims that it was one visit and would not pay for two. In other words, my insurance said that they were doubled billed by Virtua. Virtua was paid for one visit, per contract for fees and Medicare guidelines. My insurance carrier said I was NOT responsible for the $190. My insurance carrier sent 4 EOBs this month, we called them at least 5 times. Virtua conveniently lost them. Virtua was sent a Medicare non-compliance of fees complaint letter. Under my insurance, top of the line medicarePPO, I can't be BALANCED BILLED for contract provided services and procedures. Virtua continues to BALANCE BILL me by Patient Portal and by snail-mail. They were asked to stop this by my insurance carrier. This was Virtua's problem. Their PA in Linwood shouldn't have scheduled two different back-to-back in-office procedures. They had two months to re-schedule the two appointments on two different days. Virtua didn't. Virtua threaten to send this bill to collections [ internal or out-sourced] and deny me medical services until the balance bill was paid-in-full. Under contracts with both Medicare and my PPO carrier, they can not balance bill me for this. 2.Cardiologist - Hammonton He wanted me to do a stress-test, I used the Galloway office. The technician almost killed me when she stuck this hard tube into my right arm's veins. She injected me with some stuff and I passed. I found myself in the Hospital's ER from the effects of this procedure. Virtua- if you like it and never had an issue, good for you. If you been screwed by their billing office, and received medical mal-treatment from one of thie technicians: stay away from Virtua everything.

The lady was kind, patient and extremely helpful in getting me through with no trouble. Both the doctor and nurse listened to my concerns with my neck and problem I encountered at an ER visit the week prior and resolved them all. Recommending me to the correct specialists and corrected my medications as the one the ER doctor prescribed me were all giving me horrible symptoms mentally and physically. Overall this location was patient, kind to my pains and concerns, timely in my wait time when arriving early. Good place to go to any check-up or urgent needs.

I do not live in the area and after I encountered a medical issue my son took me to Patient First in Voorhees NJ! It by far exceeded my expectations! The care I received from Dr. Rosenthal and the staff was some of the best support I have received from ANY medical facility and I have experienced many across the United States. The staff to include x-ray support could not have been better, this is a team that lives to provide the highest quality of care, efficiency, effectiveness along with a caring spirit second to none! Of note Dr Rosenthal explained in depth the issue, course of treatment and executed it flawlessly; a credit to the medical profession. I was unbelievably pleased! I enthusiastically recommend Patient First and salute them on their outstanding support, operations and care! 5 out of 5 Stars!!!!!

He seems to want to return to a "family doctor: concept instead of having the practice operate like an Urgent Care. I recently neede a prescription filled, and the office actually called me to let me know the request had been processed by Dr. Reis. Let me start off by saying that the doctors here are overall pretty friendly, which is the only…read morereason my review is above 1 star. Jefferson is a conglomerate that has absolutely no interest in patient care or their respect for time. I have been coming here for 3 years since moving to NJ, and if it weren't for my PCP actually giving me pointers on how to schedule and get the right people when I have to call, I would have left a while ago. First, you can never call the local office or anyone there directly. You need to call the main 800 number, which is essentially a call center for their entire health system. Hold times are often long, and even when you get someone, aside from very basic info, they don't know the answer to anything. Luckily their app now allows scheduling, which is the other reason I lasted with them this long. I was having billing issues (Jefferson's error) at one point that took months for them to correct, because again, the info gets passed from dept to dept, person to person. Most recently was the last straw. I had a virtual appt with my doctor, who writes a prescription for me and tells me that the online script system is down, so I have to pick up a paper script. My schedule is hectic, but ok... I will try to make it work. He states that the office is open till 8 that day, so I should have no problem coming to pick it up after work. I leave work a little early and get there just before 7... and guess what? Building is locked. Ok. Pretty annoyed, I go home and figure I will come back on Friday, as I can get there earlier. Their web site says the office is open until 5pm on Friday (which I can't even call to confirm, because again, will get to the call center, that basically recites the same info as the web site). I get there at 4:05. There is a security guard at the desk, who tells me, sorry. Everyone left for the day.... What in the actual f***! Thankfully this script isn't life and death, but seriously how is it ok for a doctors office to close even earlier than their already limited hours without notice, not once... but twice that I even know of?? So with this review, this is it for me with Jefferson. If anyone has a great PCP recommendation, at an institution that doesn't make you jump through hoops just for basic things like appointment scheduling, hit me up!

They did not rush me out and were very thorough in their explanation for follow up care after flushing the finger and stitching it. I highly recommend this clinic for any urgent care needs.

I…read morearrived at AtlantiCare Urgent Care on Route 73 in Berlin, NJ around 7:20, just 40 minutes prior to closing. Quite frankly, I felt badly about the late arrival because I was aware that between intake, cleaning/irrigating the wound, having X-rays to determine if shards of glass remained in my finger and stitching the cut would result in a late departure for the staff. From the moment I approached the reception/in-take desk, to being treated by the medical assistant, I believe her name was Jennifer, to having X-rays taken and read and finally being evaluated and stitched by NP Laurel, I left the center around 8:40. Every individual whom I encountered welcomed me warmly and professionally, put me at ease, and provided great care. Despite my numerous apologies for keeping them late, all they said was, "I'm so glad you made it here before we closed". The staff at AtlantiCare Urgent Center Berlin, NJ are exemplary. Thank you so much for the highly competent, professional and kind service. Respectfully, Joanie Walsh.
