The best care I have received from a Patient First/Urgent care thus far in NJ. When I was having issues at the front registry regarding my insurance and just having an extremely off morning. The lady was kind, patient and extremely helpful in getting me through with no trouble. Both the doctor and nurse listened to my concerns with my neck and problem I encountered at an ER visit the week prior and resolved them all. Recommending me to the correct specialists and corrected my medications as the one the ER doctor prescribed me were all giving me horrible symptoms mentally and physically. Overall this location was patient, kind to my pains and concerns, timely in my wait time when arriving early. Good place to go to any check-up or urgent needs. read more

Patient First Urgent care provided superlative service and the best care I have ever received for an any medical facility, let alone an Urgent Care facility. I do not live in the area and after I encountered a medical issue my son took me to Patient First in Voorhees NJ! It by far exceeded my expectations! The care I received from Dr. Rosenthal and the staff was some of the best support I have received from ANY medical facility and I have experienced many across the United States. The staff to include x-ray support could not have been better, this is a team that lives to provide the highest quality of care, efficiency, effectiveness along with a caring spirit second to none! Of note Dr Rosenthal explained in depth the issue, course of treatment and executed it flawlessly; a credit to the medical profession. I was unbelievably pleased! Within the last month I have had to go to Patient First twice. The first time I went for a severe reaction to a bee sting. Staff was professional and not a long wait time. My doctor was Heidi Handler and after a consultation she prescribed 2 prescriptions and I was so much better within 2 days, Yesterday I went for mouth ulcers and again I had Dr. Handler again very professional and as explained to me, they are not dentists or oral surgeons. Again, I received 2 prescriptions for a mouth wash to numb the area and a gel to put directly on the sores. I have an auto immune decease in my body and seems to come out frequently in my mouth. The discomfort was immediately lessened and the sores slowly got better. I am extremely satisfied with Patient First and especially with Dr. Handler Sandy B. read more

I think this facility is the worst ever to come visit. They really don't care what you have to say as they are on a schedule like 5 minutes with each patient when you have waited a long while to wait to see them. I bet the prognosis they give me, isn't the right one anyway. I will never ever go to this facility or any one of them again. The doctor was the worst doctor I have ever seen and very rushed as if he didn't even care what I had to say as maybe he isn't a real doctor at all. The patient should always come first and you shouldn't have to be rushed out like this one did to me. If I could give negative stars I would. I've only been here once and was made to sit for over THREE HOURS. I had the flu and I'm sure infected a lot more people in the time they left me in the waiting room to wait for a bed after being tested for the flu. Expect to sit there and think why does everyone keep avoiding me? After that terrible experience of sitting expect to wake up a month later to random charges by the hundreds of dollars without warning or explanation but wait there's more! they charge you on a Saturday the day their billing closes. Thank you for taking all my grocery money and leaving me to have to hope enough people dropped coins at the local car vacuum stations to feed myself for the weekend. I just literally had the WORST experience I went in to get a PPD test read and sat for a HOUR. This is a test that takes less than 2 minutes to read. The didn't have my paperwork and no one came out to read my test. They kept telling me I had to go to the back to have it read which is NOT true this is my 4th PPD test and I know how long it takes for it to be read. Worst treatment I've ever had by medical personal and that's pretty impressive considering a hospital over medicated me and stopped my heart for four minutes. Went in for a potential dislocated jaw (huge lump very painful)- and a horrendous kidney infection. Both started started within hours. Wasted twenty minutes registering, signing my life away and telling them everything, only to be told i had a $124 bill from a location they can't identify, from a date they aren't aware of, for services they don't know anything about .. And my bill is too low to set up a payment plan. So she tells me the nurse is the only one who can evaluate me and bypass this bill potentially- nurse comes out, listens to what is going on ... Then tells me I can go to Virtua because they won't see me. (Or i can call my primary care, who has no appointments for FOUR DAYS. I started with them and they sent me to patient first). The nurse tells me I can literally go spend SEVEN TIMES as much - because they couldn't CARE LESS about treating someone in severe pain, sitting right in front of them, over a bill they literally CAN'T IDENTIFY in thier system and I have ZERO knowledge or awareness of. The nurse was FULLY CAPABLE of bypassing it to see me. I have TWO full forms of insurance and have for the entire time I've lived in this state. How could i even HAVE a balance of $125- that's like the cost of going to an appointment and having NEITHER insurance pay a single cent towards it. But sure- send me away to either rack up a MASSIVE bill that i won't be able to pay (do you think you're going to get your mystery money any faster by forcing me into A HUGE (and totally unnecessary) medical bill? Or, I can wait around at home with a dislocated jaw, and a massively painful uti/kidney infection for FOUR DAYS when primary care can "squeeze me in". Hopefully I don't die of sepsis in the meantime right, Patient First of Voorhees...? After all- who cares- i I'm just a human being in pain. How is that important. Maybe if I die from the untreated infection, my kids will scrape together and pay off this mystery bill when they are old enough to get jobs. After all, that's all that's important, right? That you get your $124 (despite that you can't even tell me what/where the bill is for!) Oh, and yes - to be fair- hey did offer to let me to sit (in horrendous untreated pain) in thier lobby while they see actual IMPORTANT patients - so i can call thier customer service and try to get to the bottom of the bill. But they already said the amount owed is "too low to set up a payment plan"- and I don't have any way to pay it for several days. So what would be the point? Sitting there in immense untreated pain, just to try find out why they have this mystery bill- they still wouldn't see me. So no- i didn't bother to choose that "option"). To be VERY CLEAR- The receptionist said the Nurse ABSOLUTELY could bypass the system and choose to see me.... And she couldn't be bothered. Because $124 is WAY more important than a patient in severe pain sitting right in front of them. It's the epitome of DISGUSTING to choose a REDICULOUSLY small bill over a human being who's SUFFERING. I sincerely hope YOU and your staff are treated with the EXACT same compassion that I was shown today- by every single medical professional you see for their rest of your selfish lives. read more

My visit at Patient First was great from beginning to end. The center was spotless; my registration, quick and easy; and the staff, courteous and concerned for my comfort and well-being. Dr Handler was terrific! She came in immediately, assessed my situation with the right questions and had me on my way with meds within an hour of my arrival. Better than that, she knew my specialist and was able to contact her to ascertain my next steps. Came here at 8:20 AM. My girlfriend got sick and although we knew what her diagnosis was, we came anyway to see what kind of treatments they could give her. She sat in the waiting room from 8:20-9:40 before she got called back. Once she was called back, she waited over an hour just to see the doctor for them to not even give treatment advice(it heals over time). Not to mention we called before hand and they told us to come in. This place is a fucking shit show, nobody should go here for anything. Place probably shouldn't even exist. read more

I wish I had seen the Yelp reviews before going. Family member had some symptoms so decided to go to get the COVID test done. Reached and registered at 9:30. Was called in at 10:30. They did a rapid and PCR (even though we only wanted PCR). Then asked us to wait for the rapid test result ("Will be back in few minutes"). Now - it is 11:35 and still nobody. When asked somebody - "yeah, it takes time - we are busy". There were a total on 10 patients addresses in the two hours we are here. That is BUSY? Asked - Can you call with the results - Answer - No, you have to wait. This is beyond ridiculous. Please please read this and other reviews and GO elsewhere, at least not this location. Even if you are not a patient entering, you will be by the time you are done. read more

Awful! Waited in the car for 3 hours. They called and asked if I was in the parking lot and I was. My daughter got a little scared in case the the test was a blood test (I wasn't sure). After 10 mins, I got her out of the car went in and they said they didn't have her. They moved onto the next person because we weren't there in 5 mins. I asked them if there was any way to put her back in the line since we were there for 3 hours. By the way, They didn't mention this time limit to me on the phone. They were not sympathetic to my daughter who suffers from anxiety. After that, I had enough and I will never go there again. read more

They could have killed me. I was refused oxygen My pos was going lower . The dr refused to give xrays. Even refused to re fill my insulin. I was in a wheelchair so, he called 911 due to my breathing. They couldn't transport the wheelchair. So i had to sit outside 90 degrees for another hour to go home. I reported it to corporate. they dont care.weeks later nothing has been done. I have chf and copd and asthma. They will kill someone. This wasnt the regular dr. So. I don't know if that was the problem. But medical staff saw all of this They did nothing. read more

The doctor gave me stern looks for some of the things I had been ignoring for awhile but never did I feel like I was being talked down to. Im between insurance providers as I am switching employers. I used Patient First earlier in the month for my son's flu shot. So, new review, new format, here we go... Positives: Newly built medical building for urgent care. Staff was professional and courtesy upon entry. Clean, spotless, very appealing in look. The waiting room was very well organized and neat with chairs and magazines. Cable tv was offered on flat screen tvs with news and weather programming. The staff offered great assistance, asked necessary questions to expedite the process for what medical procedure. Made patient aware of prices for medical needs. Staff was personable, friendly, and very helpful for the medical need I was seeking. Negatives: I think the price of PPD ($38) and wellness/ physical ($109) is a little high in comparison to prices of the same services offered by another urgent care in the area. This is new territory for someone who is accustomed to having these services and needs provided by a pcp that routinely goes to a doctor. There was also confusion from the doctor who came in my room to ask/tell what service I already knew I was getting. Made it very confusing and he was an older physician. So, that was very weird. Overall, was an impressive visit to a great facility. read more

I captured most of it on audio and planning on going to corporate which i don't normally have time for or do. But this person was horrible and Bree was more calm but also try to cover for this atrocious behavior. But I'm sure had it been her and her family she would've been disgusted by it all. Front desk and Sabrina were awesome, clean, friendly and quick sign in. The rest of the experience was long. Brought my 92 year old mother in law just before 3 pm to have her earwax cleaned out. We waited well over an hour before the doctor came in. While waiting, no one provided status updates. My mother in law walked out multiple times asking if anyone was going to see her. The doctor finally came in after we identified her at a desk as the doctor on duty. She stated she had only been there for 30 minutes but the website states she was on duty at 3 pm. Long story short, this location lacks attention, customer service levels and apparently physician staffing. read more

My bf had an abscess. Went there. They gave him cream and antibiotics. I told him they should've drained the area because clearly it's swollen and you can see it's containing pus. He was in a lot of pain so I told him to go back to them and have them drain it. They didn't drain it. Said it's looking better. It was more swollen than when he first went and was very red and inflamed. I told him to go to the hospital because they should've drained it. What is a cream going to do? He went to the hospital. They cut the abscess open and drained the area relieving the pressure and it looks better already. He was in pain for a week and went to them twice. Save your money. read more

The system that they have here is awful. The two times I have been here they only have one doctor on staff. But last time my wait wasn't that long. Today when I registered there was only 3 patients in front of me. They called me from my car to go in a room and I waited over 2 hours in the room just to get a sports physical for my son. Not once did they come In to check on us. There must have been at least 5-6 staff members there in between patient rooms that could have updated us. But no, nothing! Just rude. I asked after an hour how much longer. They told me 5 patients in front of me?!? How is that even possible. Why didn't they just let me wait in my car like I was before if they were going to take so long. Or I could have gotten my starving teenager something to eat across the street. They should have warned us there is only one doctor on staff and the wait would be a couple of hours. I never would have stayed. We ended up missing another appointment because they took so long. I will never come back here unless I have to. I will go to the urgent care in Voorhees on 73 where I normally go. They are usually prompt and their system is efficient; plus they are so much nicer. read more

The medical service was fine but their billing SUCKS! They don't take a copayment at the time of service and bill you later. If your insurance is slow paying they take the money out of your account. You can't get a reimbursements until the insurance company pays. I called on a Thursday and inquired about a bill and said I was contacting my insurance company and before I could get back to them they took $150.00 out of my account on the following Monday. I will NEVER go there again. The hassle after isn't worth the convenience. read more

Pros: Check in and Vitals were fast and friendly. Dr. Fagel was nice and diagnosed me easily. con: My problem is the nurse. I left with an prescription for an antibiotic. I called back to obtain a prescription for females caused by antibiotics. The 61 year old nurse suggested probiotics instead. I explained that my body reacts badly with antibiotics. The nurse went on a tirade telling me how much probiotic she takes, and she is the nurse and knows what is best. To call back after I have the reaction. Going to these places are a waste of time and money. I now have to go to my primary, pay another copayment just to obtain a prescription. First I want to say I didn't go here first based on the reviews. I went to the cherry hill location first and was told it would be a 3 hour wait. I reluctantly went to Voorhees and saw the parking lot looked pretty empty. There was one person ahead of me. The person that took my id and insurance info was a little cold and not so friendly but I get it. I was there an hour before closing so she probably saw me as her reason to get out later. Anyway, after I was checked in it took not even 5 minutes for a nurse to call me back. She was very nice and friendly. She took my vitals and asked the reason for my visit. I waited in a room for maybe 30 mins for the doctor. Not so bad. He ordered blood work and a Covid test. Both happened quick and doctor came back w results fairly quick. Dr. Dani was so nice. Very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to me. I didn't feel like he rushed me or just gave me a generic diagnosis. I would definitely go back there and recommend anyone to go to this location if you have a not so minor concern you cannot wait to see your doctor for. read more

I made the mistake of visiting Patient First to have a school physical and some basic bloodwork and immunizations done. The doctors are good, but many of the other staff quickly showed their incompetence. Being that it was just a physical, I didn't really care. The physical required several visits which is not Patient First's fault. However, I was billed over $350 from Patient First AND then an additional $500 from LabCorp for the bloodwork. All I can say is WOW - disappointed and shocked doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. I wouldn't go back there again if my life depended on it...not that they could save me anyway! If you need medical care, go to a medical center that doesn't price-gouge for every service. read more

Never again. I arrived at 8:10 (they open at 8:00) as the first patient of the day. Check in, vitals, etc. was done quickly. After that I sat in the exam for an hour and did not see a physician until 9:20. I almost left. No one checked in with me to explain or apologize for the long wait. The place was empty with the exception of maybe two other patients that arrived after me. That length of wait time at an empty facility is inexcusable. I hate these doc-in-a-box joints. Totally useless. I'll never go there again and I will warn others about their incompetence. I hope their corporate office reads my review. read more
