I also expected to see people dressed in period costumes, but nope. Others have commented about how you have to drop $10-$12 to see a gunfight then pay again to see a show, then pay again to see the mine, then pay again to see something else, it adds up quick. And walls were built so you can't see anything without paying. Old Tucson seemed more realistic. Is there anything surviving from the Wyatt Earp days? Maybe, but with fires and renovations over the decades, I'm not sure what. We enjoyed seeing the RoseTree, and the Cowboy Coffee shop and talking to the slacker. (The third brother) The food was good at the saloon. Then we were ready to go.

One has to come to Tombstone with unabashed humor and imagination. I definitely enjoyed my time walking around the historic district. The reenactment of the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral was hilarious and entertaining. Food at Big Nose Kate's Saloon such as the Elote and Rueben Sandwich with fries were delicious and service was great. Kinda disappointed that I never received responses to my inquiries…read more Full disclosure(!!) - I booked the Good Enough Mine Tour and mistook it for the tour in Bisbee. I wasn't aware there were two mine tours in the area and take full responsibility for my error. Drove from Vegas to Tombstone for the Fourth of July weekend and booked it straight to Bisbee for the mine tour. Color me shocked when he told me I was at the wrong mine tour! I called Good Enough, explained my error to the lovely woman who answered my call, and told her we were in Bisbee (it's 2:47 pm at this point), and would not be able to make it back to Tombstone prior to the 3:00 pm tour time. Asked if we could swap my tickets to the following day, she said she didn't see why not, and that she just needed to get approval from her manager. I was told to expect a call back that night or the following morning and I never received one. Of course, we return home after a couple of days, never had the opportunity to tour the Good Enough Mine, and come the week after the holiday, I reached out to inquire again if it were possible to take the tour at a later date (fully prepared to call it a wash if they said no because I know *I* messed up, booked this tour, and went to the wrong mine tour). To this day, I've never received a response back. We loved Tombstone, had an absolutely amazing time, and will be back soon, but just kind of a bummer I never heard from anyone when they encourage customers to reach out anytime.

Parking can be a challenge so be patient with that & arrive early. Most things open at 10 am. Worth it to see a gun show & there are a few good ones to choose from. It is worth walking to the museum if for no other reason to take a selfie with the building in the background - it is truly a gem. The inside has old creaky stairs and lots of memorabilia - it generally takes us almost hours to make it through everything. Don't miss the gallows out back (see photo). The museum does not focus on the shootout, so if you are looking for a ton of stuff from that you might be disappointed, though there is a small exhibit that describes the events of the day. Worth the stroll a block off main street and the price of admission.

In 2020 we interned our Father here, due to Covid they were unable to do the normal Ceremony and…read morehonors. It still was a very positive experience handled as well as it could for the ties we were in. Fast forward to 2024 and we had to join our parents back together as our mother passed. From my initial call to the day of Ceremony, the Cemetery Staff has been amazing. The whole process was smooth as could be,, due the helpfulness, quick responses and overall professionalism of everybody involved from start to finish. I cannot express our gratitude enough for Ashley, she was amazing and words cannot fully cover how much her support meant to our family. We asked despite being 4 years since our father passed if we could tie in his military honors with our mother's Ceremony. Ashley made it happen. She took care of everything, the Honor guard was present, and did the honors on point. SSG Lawrence and the Soldiers who performed the honors were impressive. The family left the Chapel grateful and with a renewed sense of Patriotism. Ashley and (J) were with us from start to finish, they took care of everything. The Family cannot say enough kind words about the professionalism of the Arizona Veterans Cemetery.

Up against the beautiful Huachuca mountains, the serenity of this place is majestic. I'm sure all the veterans memorials are beautiful in their own way. I just chose this place because it's what brought me and my family out to Arizona.
