It was my first time going to this place. The PA I saw was nice. I got my blood taken and the next day no one called me from this fucking place but managed to call in a prescription that I didn't ask for. So I thought something had to be wrong with my blood work. I called them on Monday and of course they couldn't tell me my lab results so they put a note in for the medical assistant to call me. That was monday it's Wednesday and still nothing. I left another message today and still nothing. I went there and got my bloodwork printed off. I'm never going to this place again. I'm just glad I didn't have low or high potassium or I could have ended up in the hospital before they told me my results. If I could give a zero I would! Time to call the Arizona Medical board and ask then if this is ethical! read more

Scarlett, Maryann, Vanessa and the whole team at the Gilbert location are hands down EXCEPTIONAL. The last few weeks have been very trying due to my unexpected health issues. Regardless of the to me 'slow process' the whole team made me feel important and that I was their main focus. Crystal as well made me feel comfortable and took care of me 100% when completing all the lab draws. She is definitely phenomenal at her job. I scheduled an appointment at this 2 weeks ago and give them my insurance information. I showed up today for my appointment and they said we don't take your insurance we tried to call you but couldn't get you. They just made me waste my time. After being a patient of Doctor Griner's for 30 years I called today to book an appointment to see him for some lower side back pain. I don't have a need to see a doctor regularly and I hadn't been to see him for over 3 years. Because of this I was told I needed to register as a new patient and I was transferred to corporate. The woman at corporate told me Hatfield is not accepting any insurance except Medicare for new patients at this time. I then offered to pay cash to see my trusted family doctor. They refused to allow me to pay cash also to see Doctor Griner. I asked to speak with a supervisor to try to make sense of this and was left on hold twice for several minutes before hanging up. I like Doctor Griner, he has been a family friend for decades. I'm not at all happy about my experience with Hatfield the company... :( read more

I take my elderly mother here to see Maryann Moyer for her multiple health issues. When we first started seeing her everything was great and I felt she truly cared. At one point I made appointments for myself to see her as well. Something changed this year and her demeanor and bedside manner has taken a turn for the worst. She has become very rude and uncaring. Both my mother and I feel she dismisses us and is not willing to hear us out. Unfortunately I needed to make an appointment with her to get my mother home health and a ortho referral. My mom asked me if there was anywhere else I could take her and she was anxious about the appointment and did not want to be treated rudely again. At the appointment seemed upset that my mom did not already have an established orthopedic doctor and insinuated it was our fault. She said she couldn't do anything for else and that our issues needed to be taken care of through referrals. I myself work in healthcare and understand how taxing the COVID pandemic has been. All healthcare workers are tired and just trying to do our best. This is why I let the first incident slide, thinking she was just having a rough day. Now it has happened repeatedly and Maryann was even rude to my sister when she spoke to her at the last appointment. I went to have a blood test taken before my physical and showed up Wednesday the 9th at 8:00 am when they opened. I waited an hour and then asked when If they forgot about me. They have my paperwork when I arrived so they knew I was there and said I would be next. I waited another ten minutes and left. I took the day off for this and a dentist appointment which I had to cancel. You would think they would have the courtesy to call and apologize. read more

I have been going to Scott Hatfield for years mostly seeing Scott but occasionally others when he was not available, always professional and answered my questions. You can get your blood drawn for testing on-site which is much easier. Crystal does an excellent job drawing blood. I have able to get referral when needed. Our family decided on this practice because it was close to our house. We didn't know anything else about them. Every time we called to make an appointment, we were on hold for about 20-30 minutes. After the first couple long wait times, we discussed seeing a different doctor, but didn't want to switch. We liked Dr. Scott and Dr. Kent. We did not like the nurse practitioner. Then, one of the doctors left, and the only person I could get in with was the nurse practitioner. I had three appointments with her that I felt were pretty useless. The first two times I went to the Minute Clinic a couple days later and got better medical care. The third time I saw her, I decided not to come back. About a 6 months to a year went by from our first appointment to our last, when I got a call from their billing department saying that a part of my visits each time cost an additional amount outside of my co-pay. About $50 a visit. I asked why they didn't tell me that the first visit, and they said it was my responsibility to know my benefits. I told them that each time I went in, they let me know if I owed anything on my account. If they had told me the first time, I wouldn't have come back two more times. I don't have that additional charge anywhere else I've gone. They didn't care. I called and talked to someone else. They didn't care. I explained I'd never been charged additionally before. They said my benefits must have changed. I'm not sure if they have or not, but no other provider charges me this additional amount... even still. I wouldn't have been angry if I'd had to pay after the first time. I would have understood that my coverage was different with this doctor, and I would have seen someone else. But if they see me multiple times, and go over my account each time, then those charges should have been mentioned. I believe after the first time, they had a responsibility to bill me in an appropriate time frame and let me know. Instead, I now have a bill in collections from them. I am so angry. 11/4/2020 I have never felt compelled to write a review over a bad experience I've had with a business or service provider that had no significant impact on my life. However, now that it concerns my health and well being, I am compelled to warn others. I have been going to Hatfield medical for well over a decade with only a few little bumps in the road. A couple of years ago I suffered a major DVT and from the hospital went to see Dr. Scott Hatfield who prescribed a blood thinner for me. All was well, until the Rx ran out and I was told he wouldn't refill it and I needed to find a vascular doctor, which I did. After seeing that doctor for a couple of years and having several ultra sound exams to monitor the progress, that doctor closed her office. To follow up, on October 6, 2020 I went to see Dr. Hatfield to get an order for an ultra sound to make sure things were still ok. That test was done by SMIL on October 8th. Several calls to the office later and as of today November 4th, all I'm told is that they don't have the report. Obviously they don't do follow ups on tests that they've ordered. Moving on to October 20th, I went in to see Maryann Moyer regarding a severe stomach/digestive issue. She ordered a CT scan which I had done on at 8:15am on October 22nd. Again, after several calls to get the results, I'm told they don't have the report. I contacted SMIL to see what the status was and I was told that the report was sent to the Hatfield office on the day it was done at 10:30am, just two hours after it was done. I was also told that they would re-send the report again. Once again, they don't do follow ups on tests they've ordered. Moving on to another issue...I had a Rx for Vitamin D2 that Hatfield had prescribed. When it needed to be refilled my Walgreens pharmacy sent a refill request to the doctors office. No response. Now after Walgreens has sent three requests, still no response from Hatfield and no Rx refill. So, now it is November 4th and after numerous calls to the office, I still have no results from the ultra sound or the CT scan. Yesterday the 3rd I called the office again, this time to request all of my records and to speak with the office manager. I was assured that the office manager would call me by the end of the day. No call ever came. I also have no expectations of ever getting my records. On a positive note, the office staff is very pleasant and polite in their neglect and disregard of this issue(s). When you call their office, the recording claims that they are providers of "quality and compassionate care." DON'T BELIEVE FOR A SECOND!!!! This medical office could be hazardous to your health and well being. read more

Corporate mentality; you're just a number. Doctor is ok but staff is awful and they are often difficult to communicate with. Went to this location as our regular office was unable to accommodate an appointment for my elderly father who was just released from hospital with several new diagnosis. We were fortunate enough to meet with the provider a PA, Scarlett White, who saw us in unbelievably short notice. Both Scarlett and the MA Monique took the time to truly listen and address all of our concerns in a patient caring manner and recognized the need for additional supports for my dad and got them in place. Decided to follow up at this location and the service and care is TOP NOTCH! Although my dads medical situation IS complex, it is clear that they truly care about their patients quality of life and making sure they are an active team player including very well and communicating very clearly the needs of the patient when many specialists are involved. read more

Very disappointed in Hatfield Medical Group. I called to see if I could get the COVID-19 vaccine when available as I have dormant tuberculosis. No one could tell me, but said I needed to come in for an appointment with the doctor. Made the appointment, took off work, and came in. I believe I met with a clerical person who said she had "wanted to call me" because no one knew because they didn't have the vaccine yet and did I still want to meet with a doctor. I said yes. She proceeded to ask what questions she hadn't answered and gave the same (lack of) information I'd already received. Clearly I wasn't going to see the doctor. She asked if I had paid for my visit which of course I had. I left as she discussed with the receptionist whether to give me a credit or refund me. read more

New to this area, my wife and I were referred to Hatfield in Gilbert by our daughter who has been a patient there several years. We were highly impressed in our initial visit and subsequently with the cheerfully helpful office staff. Meeting the medical professionals especially Paul Schmidt was even better. We have been carefully assisted each visit and Paul has consistently made us feel appreciated and well cared for. When you are 79 years old this is always welcome. We recently were seen by Paul in a moment of crisis which ended up in the emergency room and hospital for infection complications that were diagnosed by Paul. His quick professional response to our medical quandary as to why my wife was feeling so poorly. We had no idea she had a bad UTI causing heart and kidney challenges. My entire family has been going to Hatfield Family Medical, aka Hatfield Medical Group aka Concentra. I don't even recognize the practice anymore. According to some of the doctors or NPs, we don't know our bodies. Our opinion doesn't matter. They are dismissive of us. And as of late, I am being threatened about being sent to collections for a bill that I paid because they billed an insurance policy which I don't have anymore. I have called numerous times and I'm still not sure if it's rectified. We are not human to them anymore. Very impersonal. read more
