He took it as directed and the toes got worse. We went back today. We were there for 3 hours. The women taking our information was very kind. She was shocked that we only waited for 3 hours, it's usually 5 hours since they cut down to one provider. The doctor looked at his two toes and said he needed to see a podiatrist immediately. She gave him 2 types of antibiotics and an anti fungal and that he needed to start them immediately. My son starting panicking because of how serious it was. She was sending the scipt to the CVS pharmacy at Target. I explained to her that they were already closed, to please send it to the CVS on Warren Ave in East Providence because they are open 24 hours. I went to pick up the scripts for him since it was already 9p, I waited that long because CVS never informed him that the scripts were ready. When I picked them up, there were only 2 scripts, of course the most important one had not been sent in. So now I have to waste more time getting this straightened out. Never again, complete waste of our time.

How can you close at 5PM and not take patients at 4PM? Maybe they should change their hours. Would NOT recommend this urgent care. I spent a great deal of time doing just that. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told it was not possible that I had been sent such a link. Wait, what? When I attempted to show the staff my phone that had the link and the subsequent forms, I was emphatically told that it didn't matter what I showed them, they hadn't sent it and they needed me to fill out the paperwork there. OK (deep breath) I said, I realize that they need the information, and that I would fill out the forms but they also needed to understand that this was not my mistake, that I had only followed the instructions I received. I was then questioned about how I had gotten an appointment in the first place, as I had not followed their patient vetting procedures. I said I had called back in April as soon as I found out my old PCP's office was closing. The office manager (who had very early on taken over my check in) looked it up and informed me that the person who had made the appointment shouldn't have done so and the she had subsequently been "let go." OK (really?!) I sat down with my paperwork to fill out and looked at the two women sitting in the waiting area. In the awkward silence, I asked them, "was it me?" They laughed and shook their heads no. I then refilled out all of the forms. While I was doing so, the office manager came out from behind the desk to tell me she'd figured out why I had been mistakenly been sent a link. I listened, then said... "but it wasn't the patient's fault, right?" She didn't respond to my question but continued to explain. Again I listened, and when she paused, again I asked... "but it wasn't the patient's fault, right?" I'm pretty sure we went one more "round" before she realized I was asking for an apology for the way she had tried to bully my into thinking this was my fault, and she finally acknowledged it was not my fault... never apologizing. She then asked me to call my insurance company to make sure their practice was "in network." I told her I'd already done that, but I used my insurance company app to look up the doctors and the practice and showed her that they were listed. In short, I feel as though she did everything to try and prevent me from becoming a patient. Or offend me so that I would walk out. Update: After having accepted all insurance cards at my first visit, I subsequently received a bill. After the rude behavior I endured on my first visit. I decided not to trust a phone call and visited the office to question (and settle) the bill in person. I was simply told they didn't accept my insurance. What? Bottom line - they did want me as a patient, but they didn't want to actually say it. So they did everything possible to alienate me. Done. But why? Is it because I am a POC? Is it because they can't or don't want to care for a woman of a certain age who has chronic, post cancer issues? Or is it because they are just unfeeling? It almost doesn't matter. Clearly they did not want me. And quite frankly, why would I trust them with my health? I paid the bill and left. I made arrangements for my healthcare elsewhere sitting in their parking lot. Done and done.

Everyone at Bayside was wonderful and I was able to get in right away! Dr. Torres was sweet and has great bedside manner. They are a holistic practice and offer support for many different ailments as well as support with lactation. They have a great location with plenty of parking and continue following all COVID protocols, and as a pregnant woman I appreciate the extra precautions in place to keep me and my baby safe. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Tight visitor parking but free!…read more I had no idea there were visiting hours! (Note: I would understand a nighttime cut off.) FYI: 10am-1pm, 4-7pm. Luckily when I entered to visit someone, it was 3:40. I did have to wait about 15 minutes in line to register with the lobby staff as a visitor. Standing in the line, we were next to the exit door that kept swinging open and getting hit with bursts of cold, January air! I have to say, this was a terrible system. Also, apparently kids under 13 can't visit. My 13 year old was with me and I would have been really upset if I found out after standing in line. This was not posted anywhere but apiece of paper handed to me at the check in station. There is a waiting area. Someone alerts you once it hits 4pm and you can then go and visit. I have to say, I disliked the process. It was clearly posted on the patients door that I needed PPE equipment to visit. The nurses station quickly set us up for success. KUDOS to Miriam. About a year ago at a nearby hospital this was the case with my father but nothing was posted and I found out AFTER I had already been visiting with him! The Nurse we had was well liked by our patient but I found her to be a know it all. Telling my daughter what her pathway to college should be. (Not nursing either.) She also didn't get the message we were visiting and just stood around and took up a lot of our patients time. Keep in mind, we offered to leave to let her do her duties but she rejected. It was mostly standing around and being a part of our time. Overall, our older family members really prefer Miriam. I did think the room was very clean and the floor we were on was quiet.

Rarely saw any cna after they checked in at start of each shift. Had to call repeatedly (3x) for Iv pump beeping multiple times (30-45minutes later after 3 calls they responded). Roommate in pain 4.5 hrs later and after her/my telling 4 staff members she finally got pain med. Asked to give stool and urine specimens but had to repeatedly ask for a hat/collection container. Hospital Dr tried his best but was limited by GI's direction. I was Insufficiently prepped for sigmoidoscopy. No one advocated for reprep and repeat (except me and it was declined). Enemas ordered at 8a received at 1130a, test was 130p-test later postponed to 430p (no reprep which I asked about). No definitive diagnosis. Wanted to sign out ama but insurance said I'd be stuck with the bill. Had to repeatedly request discharge for 2 days in a row (since nothing was being done). The plan of care/Treatment which was never truly discussed with me was just upping meds I was already on and adding on lactose (I thought the hospital dose given was 1x only was surprised to find it in my discharge meds with take daily for a month-Dr never mentioned that was the plan. This med and upping antidepressant med only made/is making my symptoms worse. Feeling worse now than I did when I came into the hospital. Repeatedly requested steroid-drs refused. I felt that I was absolutely not listened to and was not at all included in my plan of care. Once home I Followed up outpatient for steroids, the GI MD agreed to prescribe them, I'm picking script up today. The only reason I did not give not one star is solely due to the following staff members: Wyatt RN(holding unit) sweet and truly caring. Eusebio RN (seriously a gem and born caregiver and staff educator THE BESTnurse I've ever had) the only nurse to anticipate, follow though on my requests, respond quickly to calls (for any nausea meds), listen attentively and even referred reikki practitioner to me for pain management/nausea management. He deserves accolades and a raise. He was also educating a student nurse from RIC and his educational skills were exceptional. Kate (endoscopy) truly professional and attentive, a great patient educator. Michelle (phlebotomist) amazing comforting bedside manner and skilled at what she does. Ray (transport) also great attitude and very sweet and calming. Gabby (Reikki/RN) the best Reikki session I have ever had, truly skilled at Reikki. Fabulous calming and caring personality a true gem. Really loved the Eastern Medicine practices you are incorporating into patient care: pet therapy, Reikki, etc. The customer care cart-offered books, etc The CNA daily lets go for a walk-I didn't need it since I was independent in care but it's a great service. But adl/personal care and individual basic needs services are seriously lacking. Despite the above staff members, I would not return here. Only came because this is where my GI MD is associated with.

The 'office' is built in the end of a small strip of shops which is not particularly nice. Arrived for my appt and Rocky did the dexa scan and then the second test i signed up for. From the lobby you move aside a large curtain to the room with the scanning machine, a lot of extra space, a couch and a large TV screen. 6-8 minutes for the scan and then was led into the back room, a small and very beat up space, for the second test. Which also went fine, and took only a few minutes. While I was resting for that test is when I noticed how gross the space was. It seems clear that whoever owns the location just run the operation there for a long time while investing zero in the upkeep or cleanliness. Was led back to the second room where I was given a presentation/ summary of my test results - all within clear earshot of another person waiting in the lobby. This is IMO a HIPAA violation but just seems plain wrong to do. I might try a dexa scan again one day as Im not sure I believe the results were accurate but 100% would not go back to this beat up place.

I am not sure if it was accurate or done incorrectly. I have been lifting weights and running my whole life, with the addition of distance running the last 6 years. I have trained for and run 6 half marathons and the boston marathon. My garmin has my VO2 max estimated at 49, and my max heart rate in my workouts and races gets into the 180s. The test said my VO2 max is 35 and my max heart rate is 151, and gave me heart rate zones with that being the max so its very low and not useful for me to do anything with. I was hoping to validate or get more accurate depictions if my heart rate zones vs what garmin estimates with my watch and garmin heart rate chest strap. The person who administered the test was friendly and great to meet with. **UPDATE** DexaFit offered to re-test me for free. I appreciate this gesture. The re-test put me at 52 which aligns with what I expected. Great customer service thank you!
