Arty on the other hand had a system in place where it connected my call to him directly. He came by on the same day and gave an estimate which was more than reasonable. Additionally, he is technically up to date so his system informs you via text and email as to when they will arrive, etc. ahead of time which I really appreciated. They are handling everything with care and efficiency, ensuring that all of my items are transported safely and without any damage. Arty and his team are amazing, these guys are efficient to say the least. I found them on Yelp and saw all the great reviews and here's what I liked most: - Quick response time - Locally owned in Fairfax - As Green as possible - they will try to donate what they can, then try to recycle as much as they can, and then finally the dump for things that can't be donated or recycled. Will also pick up hazardous waste for you too. - Pricing is competitive I really only got one other quote, but we had a ton of crap and it was cheap in my book, more importantly Arty responded to my quote request on Yelp in a couple of hours, and then when I called a couple days later (the delay was on my part) he let me know that he was actually going to be doing a job in San Rafael and could swing by at 3:30-4:30pm range. His team arrived at 3:30pm on the dot, quickly got everything in the truck and he was clear about a couple of items that he said he probably could not donate, but suggested he could recycle or post it for free on Nextdoor and Craiglist and may get some takers. Either way, he said he'd take the extra item at no charge. Hopefully we don't accrue a ton of junk again, but if we do, I'll be coming right back to Arty and Hauling 911. read more

Carlos and Marcos were very nice and worked very quickly and efficiently. I know they are employees and I admire their work, but I was charged the same amount for throwing a table, 9 chairs and one chest of drawers plus already bagged up items and empty boxes into the back of a truck as I was for a 5 hour meticulous move of all my furniture and boxes into my new apartment. I'm a bit skeptical about their actually donating and re-cycling - I had good items, like a good Nespresso coffee machine, designer shoes, etc., but it was all tossed into the open truck like something to be dumped. So, although the workers were delightful, I do not recommend the company. read more

Arty is a consummate professional. We needed an old barbecue pit removed and within 5 minutes I had a quote and within 45 minutes it was gone. I picked this company because of the reviews. Big mistake. I had a considerable amount of trash that needed to be removed. Arty arrived to provide a quote. He was amiable enough. He initially said $900. I was shocked. He then re-assessed and said $480, though it could be more. The following day he arrived with two helpers. They began to clean the main room of my 1BR apartment and after a couple of hours they finished. I told him that the bedroom was next. He told me that his truck was full. That I had reached the $900 maximum quote. He quoted me an additional $250 to take the 4 garbage bags worth of debris out of the bedroom. I declined. He was apparently rushed to get to other jobs. He looked at his phone like it was blowing up with orders. He could have loaded these bedroom items into the truck. He asked me to look at his truck. To my dismay one of my empty card boxes (3ft by 3ft) was lying on top of the pile. That amount of space represented a cubic yard which costs $50 to $75 to have Haul 911 take away. I had at least half a dozen large empty cardboard boxes. I truly wonder if any of them were actually "crushed" (not broken down into a flat surface). Arty said, not to worry, they will crush it with the old tv that they loaded. Well, that tv was sitting at the back end of the truck bed, leaning up against the wall of the bed, not being used to "crush" the box. Items that were missing after they left, included but not limited to; a BD Electric screwdriver ($50), BD Hand vacuum ($50), Electric paper shredder ($75), Women's leather jacket ($150), Women's Nike winter jacket ($150), Bluetooth speaker ($70) and a Laundry change bowl ($20 in quarters). Over $500 worth of functional, useable products, clothing and money gone! My mistake was not painstakingly scrutinizing every item that they took out of my home. I would recommend NOT hiring this company. Guard your personal belongings. Caveat emptor! read more

After reading several reviews, I texted Hauling 911 and Arty responded within 20 minutes (in the evening). I need help for my elderly neighbor who is on a budget and needed A LOT of old items (TV,hottub, wood, furniture etc) hauled away. Arty gave a fair estimate and price - the price even went down after he removed the hot tub because it was quicker than he thought (and it was BIG). I was fortunate enough to send a request in early and get a very prompt response with an estimate and the opportunity for same-day service. I added a few items in, so the final invoice was higher than the estimate. I understand why that is so. It was quick, painless, professional, reasonable, and it is done.
