When they showed up at the appointment there were two guys and the truck and they said they were ready to do the job then and there (a little surprising). They gave an estimate after looking at the pile of wood. Part-way through they increased their estimate because there was unexpected treated wood. Afterward they said it was a really good deal because they still charged less that the work was worth (although more than their quote). Additionally, they were hauling away valuable, heavy pieces of metal which they planned to sell, so were making something off of that. Not sure if they were trying to guilt me into paying more or if they were really bad/inexperienced at estimating cost.
