John is a good salesman, but not a good optician. Found out about a year and a few months later…read morethat the anti-reflective coating was coming off the inside of the lenses, but they were out of warranty. I've had glasses where the coating remained in good shape for 5+ years, but now these are unwearable after 2. Went to a new optician and then found out the frames were way too small, with the temples bowed way out as they reached my ears. At $800, the price paid was exorbitant in relation to the fitting and longevity/quality of the service. Never returning here.

I got a call to pick up my frames and I asked if I could have my prescription when I picked them up and was told yes. I arrive and get my frames and only one of the two is ready. And they also have no print out and am told I'll get it when I pick up the other frames. I get a call to pick up the other frames and confirm the print out will be ready. The print out was not ready and I had to wait for it. I asked for my PD and was told no. I asked why not and the employee told me it changes depending on the glasses. This made no sense to me because it is the distance between my pupils and that doesn't change. I also mentioned how when I got my two pairs of glasses from that very store they only measured my PD on one frame because it's the same. I asked how that was. She said they had a machine and it knows what to do. I asked how it worked and she said that's why we have machines. She begrudgingly wrote down my PD and said she added a note to the file that she is not liable if I use it and it's wrong. I feel as if she kept just saying stuff to placate me and get me to move on and I don't appreciate that. What she was saying did not make sense to me. I paid for an eye exam and prescription and my PD should be included. Additionally, the two times I went in to pick up frames she seem flustered and kept going on about how busy she was. And I wish they would leave a message when I missed the phone call. I like the frames I bought but probably won't be coming back, to this location at least

Davis Visionworks did write to me about my last review, but gave me absolutely no contact…read moreinformation, so one could be of the opinion that they really do not care about the poor performance of their employees. I did go there again, and received a new pair of glasses due to the one year replacement policy. The pair that I received was not properly assembled, the lenses were not properly secured, so I had to go back and have them properly placed. This is definitely a "Buyer Beware" establishment.

Assistant was helping another customer, she glanced at me and called someone "twice" . NO one responded ...after couple more minutes . she got up and checked me in , still no one came from back . At that point minutes late someone checked me in brought me to back and told me didanager tell you that you were late someone checked yoi have a "Tele" visit. That's right no doctor checking my eyes.. hmm . So I questioned this , he brought me up to manager and I questioned manager. Dismissing me, no accepting what I said, almost arguing with me about what took place . He basically acting like there was nothing he could do because I was late . Inappropriate, unprofessional. This is healthcare , this is not an acceptable business model. He used excuse that doctor needed to go to lunch , I'm not disputing that but I'm in profession for 30 years ... not OK ! I will-be taking my business elsewhere , don't deserve this type of behavior.

He constantly cancels on me despite telling me to come six weeks after my prior appointment. She told me to take the corrected paperwork back to the place that made the glasses, and if they wouldn't recut them, then Cohens would. I didn't believe it, but the place recut the lenses, and so the whole thing started out messed up and ended up ok; picking up my fixed glasses tomorrow. I think Cohens really did try to mitigate the mess. Happy ending, upgraded rating!

As soon as I arrived I explained to the receptionist why I was coming in just to look at frames. I just had a eye test done two day ago she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. She put me in for another eye test to recheck everything and explained my benefits to me unlike Cohens who didn't even have my info I had to print it out for them the process was simple and the frames were priced perfect all in all the doctors and ever staff member were extremely nice and helpful! I will be using them in the future! Sure enough Cohens tried charging me 500 dollars and tried giving me lenses I didn't even need! I got everything I needed to 208! Amazing
