For my main, I went with the Bay Street ("shaved prime rib, tobacco onion, horseradish aioli, grilled baguette, frites") and after an unusually long wait, the plate arrived to the table. I can't say I was super impressed. The meat is tender and flavorful, yes, but the bread is so plentiful and so crusty that it pretty much negated the sandwich's positive attributes. I ultimately wound up leaving most of the bread and eating the scant prime rib. The fries were quite tasty, at least. Far more problematic was the service. Our waiter was absent for much of our meal. Our water glasses were empty for most of our time in the restaurant, and he never showed up to ask us if we wanted another drink, which we certainly did. We each probably would've ordered a couple more cocktails had the guy not vanished. So yeah, the martini was indeed excellent. Everything else? Not so much.

So I went in and WOW, I know where they've been sending all the extra cigars during the US/Cuba trade embargo - this place is stacked! Wall to wall cigars and cigar accessories as well as, hookahs, and the occasional "herbal" smoking appliance. But don't get me wrong, this is no head shop, this is a premium cigar joint. Even their walk-in humidor was massive and lined with the finest in every kind and size (and price point) cigar an aficionado (or aspiring one like myself) could hope for. I got to talking to the owner, who the average person might seem a little kurt, but once you got him talking he was the nicest and friendliest business owner I've met in awhile. He helped me find the perfect cigar for my budget and taste, before telling me about how much he loves his regular customers and how proud he is that these regulars are great people - it's true! He's got a great cast of gentlemen sitting out front swapping stories and smoking stogies, I swear it's like what I imagine old Havana to be like! After checking out Instagram I saw that they had an outdoor cigar lounge where you can sit back and relax while watching some sports on there outdoor tv! I had to give it a try! Met all expectations. With the beautiful weather I had an amazing time enjoying my cigar I purchased from there beautiful walk in humidor. There cigar humidor isn't as big as there Oakville location but it has all the goodies and found my favourite mombacho cigar. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. They also offer leather goods, boots, cigar supplies, pipe tobacco, wet shaving supplies (straight razors and brushes) and even there own merchandise. When it comes the VCC you already can sense the vibe they have great barbers and won't let you down. Never got my hair done or shave at Burlington but Lopes from Oakville is super skilled and does a fantastic Job!!!
