Excellent selection of cigars, with new ones being added regularly. They will gladly sell full boxes, and the customer rewards program means free cigars on a regular basis. The bar staff are always pleasant and willing to assist with selecting a good or new smoke. Mark has made us feel welcome each time we come in. Our work crew usually goes in when we are in town and stock up on full boxes and multiple singles to rotate in. I've been to this place a few times and I always enjoy myself. the bar is good, service is great, and the cigar selection is really nice. I also really like the ambience. they have TVs, but not too much... it's a lounge not sports bar and they seem clear about that. I'm probably going back and you should do the same. I must start off by saying that I don't smoke cigars. At all. Why the 5 stars? Well, I tell you... The husband and I just moved to the Newport area the week before and he was looking for a place with a good selection and a lounge to smoke in. We were in the Warwick area with a friend and came across this place. My husband honestly thought this place would be a tiny one since it's in a small strip mall with a deli and a Filipino market as their neighbors. We were proved wrong as soon as we walked in; the entire second floor of the strip mall is the cigar store/lounge. The young gal working there that day (this was the day before the Super Bowl) greeted us and offered any help with anything. She was very knowledgeable about the cigars they carry and explained the memberships to use the smoking facilities; they even have a members only entrance that can be accessed 20 hours a day (no one is supposed to be in the building between 1-5am). My husband and friend grabbed a cigar to smoke while I just chilled with a drink (they have a full service bar). The chairs are comfortable and every room has a TV in it. The rooms are ventilated with an air system that switches out the smoky air with fresh air every few minutes. I enjoyed it greatly since I'm not a smoker and the room is ventilated enough that the smoke doesn't irritate my eyes. Since it was the day before the Super Bowl, we saw that the lounge was going to throw a Super Bowl party and for just $10 you got to sit in, have some chow, and enjoy the game with a free cigar. We decided to come back the following day and watch the game there. Fast forward 24 hours later to Super Bowl Sunday, we get there at around 2 hours before kick-off to get good seats and pick out cigars/drinks. I have to say, it was a fun time that night. There was only one gal running around making drinks, cleaning up plates, and such throughout the game but she was very sweet and checked on us when she could. The spread offered was great; there was a roast beef carving station with seasoned potatoes and carrots, and other patrons brought items such as crock pot chili, meatballs, chocolate cake, etc. Everything was excellent and the people working there were very nice; one of them were among the few NOT cheering for the Pats (like me) and kept high-fiving each other whenever the Falcons scored. Even though this place is about a 30-minute drive from us, I have a feeling we'll be regulars here while we're in RI. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! read more

Don't let the name fool you, I'm an out of towner but I was allowed to buy a cigar and smoke in the club owner area. I'm driving by and I see the words "Havana" followed by "Cigar" and whip around. I'm looking at the building, how the heck do you get upstairs? I hear a voice yell "Go around back" Thank you God! Once inside, I notice the huge humidor. I'm asked what I like to smoke. Wanna know something? I want something different, dark wrapper and a little bit peppery. I'm given a choice of a few brands. I make my purchase and I'm told I can sit anywhere inside. I go to the back room and see two gents putting away inventory. After 10 minutes, they settle in and we start talking. I'm not sure if they're the owners but they are very telling of their business. First thing I noticed and they mentioned, the air filtration system is amazing. Something else that was very telling was the price of the cigar. The cap on Cigar tax is .50 cents. Massachusetts has a 40% tax rate for cigars which means, a $10 cigar costs $14.50. The same cigar in Rhode Island costs $10.50 because is there is a cap of .50 cents. Rhode Island rules! We're BSing and talking about the club. These guys do something cool. They actually set up a trip for club members to go to the Dominican Republic and see the cigars being made? Now that is a cool club! We started talking about the cigars and they have a reserve cigar with a 7 year aged wrapper. Wowza! Had a lovely experience here! Was helped by a very knowledgeable staff member who was kind and not pushy but very helpful in reaching a selection. I will be back again! I enjoyed the ability to smoke there, as well as taking a couple "to go" and to enjoy later. The wine and scotch was nice and for a minute it also seemed like pre Covid times. I say that with the knowledge they are strictly adhering to all recommended protocols and procedures. And it was very clean and kept up. My wife spotted this gem on the way back from the airport it's very close to Inskip Auto. It's very deceiving from the outside it looks like a strip mall but when you walk in it's very tastefully decorated and has a great selection of cigars. Kylie helped me today she was super helpful and told me everything about nightly specials and even joining the cigar club. I will definitely return and I may even join. It's nice to have an escape once in awhile. read more

I just arrived in RI and was looking for a good local cigar shop. Coming from the Newport area, I stumbled on this place and was amazed. Initially pulling into a two story strip mall I only expected to see a small little shop. I was pretty amazed when I had to go up stairs and this club occupied most of the entire 2nd floor. There was a member's entrance and main entrance which I thought was pretty cool. Upon entering we were given a tour by the nice lady working the counter in which we were walked through a nice cigar lounge for public use, a members only lounge, huge walk-in humidor and the very nice customer service the facility had to offer. The membership price ranges from 300-500 a year, which is a steal compared to the big city prices in New York and Boston, and the facility is open to use 20 hours a day. I ended up picking up a pair of cigars to smoke in the large leather chairs with my wife and buddy and the cigar smoke was removed every 4-5 minutes by the auto-air exchange machine with the air outside. You can definitely tell it is a cigar shop by the smell of pleasant leaf but you don't feel smoked out in the rooms. All in all, one of the better cigar establishments I have stumbled on on my travels around the world and I recommend stopping by for a smoke. read more

Found Havana on Yelp recently on a business trip. Read my lips...IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!! Great selection, full bar, fabulous environment, nice clientele and from what I was told they have some great benefits if you become a member, however this is not a private only club. Also, you can buy a cigar and they put you in their system and you can run a tab! I travel around the US and Havana is in my top 5 lounges of the 50+ I've visited over the years. read more

Just went there today to use a discount offer. Even though I live an hour away, I will definitely be back. They have a very knowledgable staff and a ridiculous selection of cigars. They have different smoking rooms and offer a good selection of scotches. You can't even tell that they have lots of smokers in there with the air filtration system they have. I stopped by today for the first time. I was warmly greeted by Brenda. She really knows her cigars. Lots of newer brands and many boxes of tried and trues such as Tat, Pepins, and Olivas. All perfectly stored. The public lounge area is beautiful. I think it would be a great place to spend a day puffing away. There is a private area for members only. I can only imagine how nice it is compared to the public area. If you love a good cigar you can't go wrong there. Truly a classy shop. read more
