What a great find right here in Milwaukee County. I'm visiting from Las Vegas, hanging out with a buddy whose wife had a major surgery at St. Luke's (about 13 minutes away). This is a super venue to select a fine cigar (honestly, drew a state is my smoke of choice...whether or not you define that as "fine" ;-), enjoy a nice scotch or a Blue Moon (my buddy is a Blue Moon guy) , and hang out with some folks, kicking back from the pressures of life. As you can see from the picture, there's a mixed crowd hanging out here, which is awesome! When I walked in, IP MAN was on the big screen. Once the movie was finished, it's the Brewers versus the Pirates (go Cardinals!). Great music playing overhead, an entire wall painted with an awesome American flag mural, and a solid cigar humidor room with a wide variety of smokes. I stopped by here to buy a few sticks for the week while in town. Slob bartender followed me into humidor so I started a conversation - asking what he recommended. He pointed out a few ideas without asking what I prefer or what flavor profile I like. This is why one star... He offered to cut my selections after my purchase. I said thanks and that I like a shallow cut. He proceeded to cut off the entire cap telling me that is what you should do, then pointed out what he did to another patron at the bar. Either he is an idiot or he did it on purpose- either way avoid this lounge!!! read more

i Received the worst customer service ever here. The gentleman that was working there and I use that term loosely was just the rudest. everytime I would stop in I would purchase $40-$50 in cigars and burn one there. This time I didn't buy any but smoked the one I've previously bought there. I asked for a glass of ice water and he asked if I was gonna buy something and he said I was loitering. And that I had to buy a cigar every time I walked in there. What a shame that he lost a customer and I will share this with everyone of my cigar smoking friends and family. He needs to to a class on customer service BADLY! everyone else there has been super pleasant. What a shame read more

One of my favorite reasons for going to this cigar lounge is the friendly staff. Tyler is hands down one of the most enthusiastic cigar smokers I have met. His passion and love of the leaf show in his recommendations. The humidor is well stocked, and as of late they have some pretty great sticks in there. More boutique brands than I remember the first time I visited. The locals are cool too. You can meet some interesting and nice folk if you are from out of town. Everyone is friendly. I also enjoy the bar. It's nice to have a place where I can not only enjoy a smoke, but have a drink and options at that! There is also a lot of room if you have a group. The downsides to this shop are: 1. an awful policy if your are sold a "bad cigar" and by that I mean tight draw, holes in the wrapper (which was the case for me). Instead of simply replacing the cigar, they offer you 40% off your next cigar. I think that is just absolute Sh?! 2.. the walls are plastered with televisions and they have the volume CRANKED on at least one of them. Honestly, if you're going to Harken the vibe of a thriving Caribbean town rich of culture, you should have art on the walls and music playing in the background at a decent volume. But the way this place is set up, they should really change the name to "Havin'A Hard Time Hearing What My Friend Is Saying Over The Loud Television Because All These Mother F$&@ers Are Deaf And Can't Hear Joe Buck Ruin Football"! You guys can use that if you want. 3. What is up with those terribly uncomfortable seats in the Main lounge? If you can, snuggle up with one of the large dudes hogging the comfortable sofas in the back room. At the very least they will keep you warm while you enjoy a fine cigar. Havana's, is one of the city's best for any discriminating cigar aficionado. The bartenders are very knowledgable, in down to earth comfy classy atmosphere; there is also a 400-500 square humidor room of selections of cigar. You will definitely find you what you seek and few new things as well. Being in the Havana shop, reminds me of being with my (the smells, being around nature business men/ladies, , and and an wide array of cigars. I love the private respectful crowd, if you desire to just watch a game and be alone with a nice cognac to compliment your choice. Enjoy! read more

This seemed like the perfect place watch the game with my friends. Yes, I said seemed. I walked in today to grab a birthday gift for a buddy, who happens to like cigars that aren't easy to find. When I pulled up, I was very unimpressed by its dumpy looking exterior, but once I opened up that door my attitude instantly changed. There was a beautiful bar/lounge area, along with the biggest humidor I've seen in the area. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but I found something else he likes that's also difficult to find, so for selection they get an A+ and an extra star. And that's where the good vibes stopped. I walked in, greeted the young dude at the counter and saw a sign that read "No coats in the humidor". Being the respectful person I am, I hung up my coat on the coat rack and walked in. I instantly saw some cigars I liked, so I grabbed a few, took a look around and grabbed the cigars for my buddy. As I was looking around some more, the guy working the counter damn near kicks open the door and yells "HEY BUDDY, DO YOU NEED HELP WITH ANYTHING!?!" I don't get flustered a lot, but this caused my big ass to jump. This dude pretty much gave me the evil eye from the minute I walked in. I wasn't even in the humidor that long, since I realized when I hung up my coat I left my iPhone 5 and my $100 sunglasses in there, yet I almost feel I was rushed out. I'm sorry I don't fit the stereotype of what your customer base seems to be, which is 50-70 year old guys who are graying and overweight, but I certainly don't fit the stereotype of a shoplifter in my Dad jeans, Brewers shirt and Barrel Man hat. I've been shopping at stores (and paying) since you were being conceived in the backseat of a 91 Ford Mustang kid! If you didn't think I was shoplifting, I'm sorry, but switch to decaf and lay off the aggro attitude. It's early Sunday afternoon for Pete's sake! Mind you, that aggro attitude instantly had me drop a handful of cigars and only grab what I needed for my buddy. I won't be back, and I can't honestly recommend this place to any of my many cigar smoking friends. read more

Very cool little cigar shop. There's a bar, couches, coffee tables and even an area for live performances. I've yet to be here on a show night but that's my own fault - man, do i want to! This place is probably happenin! 4 stars because while they do have a good selection of cigars in a variety of price ranges, i find myself looking for some of my faves which are not sold here (Havana honey). Please stock them and you would be perfect! Cool place to chill after work, nice employees, and intriguing atmosphere. Have a cigar and a drink here while you chillax or take a cig or two to go! Flat out awesome experience! Great staff and experience during my MKE visit. In general... Clean and well ventilated smoking experience. There are plenty of tables and large ashtrays for smokers and furniture in good condition. The bar contains a decent "grown man" selection of spirits. There is no dress code, which can be common at least in some cigar places (specifically Atlanta). Humidor and Cigars.. Humidor is well stocked and products were in great condition. They provide you with a "to-go" humi pack for your cigars - nice touch! The on-staff bartender/cigar aficionado provided some great recommendations and insight - very helpful (Jerrod?) Cons No food or snacks available, but you may be able to bring your own.. Overall, I will continue to visit this place on my visits. The only reason I didn't get it four stars is because I reserve that for full-service cigar lounges. Regardless, keep up the good work. read more

Still on my quest to hit a cigar lounge in every city we visit, led us to Havana Lounge & Cigar Bar. We arrived to find things I really appreciate in a good cigar lounge. First, when you walk in here, you are not overwhelmed with smoke. Havana has four large smoke eaters running. This is a step above many lounges where I have been. Second, they have a liquor license and a full bar, love that. Third is they have a large, well stocked walk in humidor with reasonable prices. All of this adds up to a great lounge with great people working there. Had a great time and recommend. read more

GREAT PLACE!!! Clean, friendly with good smoke eaters. They have a great selection of cigars and liquor, at reasonable prices. You can bring your own cigar in as long as you order from the bar. I've only been to Havana Lounge once, but I will absolutely be coming back. The interior covers all bases. There is bar seating, high tops, sofas, and lounge chairs. There are also two separate rooms, one for the bar and lounge and another with a dance store, a stage, and sofas. Again, they've covered their bases very well. The humidor is massive and they have a great selection. A large portion of the boxes are labeled indicating award winners and flavor characteristics. This is huge for beginners like me. We got some mixed drinks to pair and they were rock solid and the bartender did NOT skimp on the liquor. This lounge is the one and one cigar lounge in the area worth a damn. Got in late due to flight delay thought for sure this place would be closed before I could get there. They are open till midnight. They have a great selection of cigars, full bar and large sitting area. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars I is because the chairs were not very comfortable. Fun cigar lounge with a full bar and live music. Great service. Wide selection of cigars in the walk in humidor. I only wish they had a better air filtration system. Can get obnoxiously smoky when it's on the busy side. I actually have to take my clothes off as soon as I get home and let them air out outside before washing. Went here a few weeks ago. Had a meeting but i was way too early so i decided to try this place out. I came in a few minutes after they opened and there were 2 or 3 "regulars" sitting at the bar. After picking out a cigar from the humidor i picked a stool in the middle of the bar and asked for a coffee. Heres where my experience went sour. The lady (owner?) reached across and grabbed an -already poured- cup of coffee and slid it over to me saying "he didn't want it" with a smile on her face. I thought she was kidding at first but she wasn't. I decided to suck it up and drink it since it was early, i really wanted coffee, and i really wasn't in the mood to make a scene. The coffee was cold and tasted like it sat there all night. I was never offered creme or sugar, and over the next hour could not get anyones attention to get another drink or answer some questions i had about their cigars. All in all it was a crappy experience, and most likely wont be back. read more

This place is a bar and a cigar shop. It is a nice place, the decor is trendy and smooth. A wide variety of cigars to choose from. The bartendess/owner is kind of an old cougar type, and seemed a little dissapointed that I didn't buy a whole box of Monte Cristos, but I just sat back with a little Domincan dangling from the corner of my mouth while imbibing a little Grey Goose and cranberry while watching a little NBA on the flat screens hanging above. read more

Yesterday we watched the Heat/Clippers game on one of the three flat screen tvs provided, while smoking our favorite cigars. The large walk-in humidor offered every type of cigar-had to be in the thousands easily. Great array of seating arrangements from low profile leathers to bar style tables. For our first visit we expected the smoke level to fill the room, but with the ventilation system, I would have no problem taking one of my non-smoking friends there. You smell the cigar smoke, but it is not overwhelming. A great place to hang out for games or conversation. Can't wait to go back. Most amazing place ever!! read more

Great selection of cigars! Could be over priced, I'm not exactly a pro or know much about cigars or prices. I just enjoy a cigar every once in awhile. Been there about 3 times. Always seems like it'd be a cool place to hang out, except doesn't seem like a very inviting crowd. My first time in I felt "unwanted". The man working never smiled, seemed very unhappy. I was prob 28 years old my first time in. And I just remember feeling like wow, like the guy thought he was better then me cause he is a cigar connoisseur. He wasn't helpful and borderline rude. I was honestly looking for some knowledge and a friendly helpful person. My 2nd experience about 2 years later, literally same thing. It had to be the same guy, because my experience was the same. No smile, seemed unhappy I was there and felt like the guy thought he was better then me. At this time I was much better dressed. Wearing nice menswearhouse dress clothes like I did everyday for work. My 3rd and last visit again 2 years later, roughly about 2 months ago. Went in quick with my wife and child in the car. I thought to myself we'll see how this goes. I went in very friendly like always, cheerful and in a great mood. I was on my way to a festival with the family. No joke it's the same guy, he must be the owner. Heavier set taller guy with grayish beard. Ok 3 strikes you're out! Same exact thing, No Smile or warm welcoming, no welcoming at all just like the last 2 times. Unbelievable! At this point I'm angry, I've been a manager and always worked in customer service. I don't know how that guy still has a job or a business if he is the owner ! Do you think you could smile once in awhile or at least welcome people in when they arrive to the establishment??? Don't go out of your way to service your customers or anything! I complained to my wife in the car the entire way downtown, she was thrilled! If you enjoy not being welcomed and being helped by a guy who seems to hate you, this is your hangout! It actually does look like it would be a cool place to hang out, ah well. read more

Bar- top notch scotch and anything else you'd want. Smoke eaters work well. The clientele is a mix of people from all walks of life. Unfriendly employees who could care less about customers and inventory. Several boxes of molding cigar can be found throughout the humidor. The location itself is nice, right off of the highway exit with two separate smoking areas. Owners are arrogant and rude to both customers and other staff. Markup on some of the cigars are crazy. Being new to Milwaukee as of last summer, I used to come to this place with some frequency...maybe twice a week. No longer! Drinks are almost always subpar (we're talking something as simple as a Manhattan) and the coffee is just gross. Today, I stopped in to have a cigar and attempted to purchase one ($6) and was told that I couldn't pay with a credit card because there's a $10 minimum for ccard purchases (yes, I saw your sign about that). Realizing the only reason I really visit this place anyway is to smoke indoors when it is cold, I declined to purchase the cigar and mentioned to the bartender that a credit card transaction charge of 2 or 3% ought to be no problem, given that there is a 10 - 20% markup on almost everything in the humidor. I have been here three times in the last week and the bartender sold me a Zikar hygrometer five days ago for $30...as far as that minimum charge, guess he forgot about considering that, too. This place relies on regulars who are looking for one of the few places to smoke indoors in Milwaukee. Fortunately for me, I'm not so desperate. read more
