Great find during my trip home to Philly - awesome, friendly service, delicious food, cool and casual atmosphere, and a full bar that you can sit at with plenty of tables, too, for dining. If you are in the area, Check Them Out!

Steak bowl. Steak, homefries, and eggs

I got the steak bowl. The steak is tender. The homefries are seasoned well. The mimosas were good. The server is attentive and polite. I'll be coming back again

The Cuban was amazing. The reuben not so much, it was a lit of fatty meat, but the Cuban oh my gosh. Amazing. The service was awesome.

Highly recommend food. One of the best meals I have had, especially on the eastern shore. Can't wait to go back!

Great food and atmosphere! We'll be back for more scrumptious food. Also, the cocktail menu looks interesting.

Love my la pena Horeb! I saw it on door dash and I was ecstatic!!! Ahhh! Y'all don't even know! I…read morelive about 25 min away...but my food was hot when it got here...and it was correct! I put specifics and they actually read them and it was correct. I always get the mofongos, tostones, rice and beans, pernil...but I was sad I didn't see the flan! I hope they decide to add it. I am obsessed! This place is hands down better than any other restaurant on the peninsula and south side.

Last month, I ordered takeout from this spot that's been frequented from Sophia and myself. The…read moreboth of us were never disappointed with our meals. Pre-pandemic, this was a place where we would have dine-in visits with friends of ours from a social group or just the two of us. It was probably close to a year since we last appeared so it was time to stop by. Similiar to the past visits, I called in our orders. They greeted me promptly when I walked in where there was only one table occupied. Quick and easy. For our orders, which both served as dinner and lunch for work at our respective sites, we chose their Cubano sandwich with our usual sides (fries for myself and plantains for Sophia). As always, the sandwich was pretty good packed with ham and roasted pork, pickles, cheese and mustard (both had no mayo). I would've liked for more fries in the box, but I had enough for both servings. La Pena Horeb came through once again. You know I'll be ordering takeout from here down the road. Till next time :)

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while, and I'm glad I finally made it over! The…read morefood was good, the vibes were great, and it made for a really enjoyable dinner. I ordered the beef empanadas, pernil with arroz con gandules, and yuca in garlic sauce. The pernil was tender and flavorul, the rice was flavorful, and the empanadas were a solid start to the meal. Everything hit the spot. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing. One thing to note: some menu items are seasonal, but that isn't mentioned on the menu. My friends and I had to pivot from our original orders because a few things weren't available. It wasn't a huge deal since we were flexible, but it would be nice to know ahead of time. All in all, I'm happy I finally crossed this place off my list. Now I just need an excuse to come back because those drinks were looking real good, and I definitely want to try a few next time. A happy hour perhaps!

It was clean and nicely decorated. My friend and l visited on a early Wednesday evening. We were seated immediately. After being seated it did take a little while for someone to take our order. But it wasn't too bad. The menu had a lot of appealing options. Only select items had prices on them. For appetizers we chose the oxtail empanada with cheese and the larger potato ball. Drinks we had mango margaritas which were on a happy hour specials for 5.99 ( Happy Hour is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m daily!) For dinner I had peril( roasted pork) with white rice and beans and sweet plantains. My friend had the roasted pork sandwiches between plantains. Pernil could have used more seasoning but was very tender 7/10 Potato ball- well seasoned, piping hot! 10/10 Mango Margarita 10/10 Oxtail empanada - not a lot of meat and kind of expensive for the size. $9.99. 6/10 Overall, I had a good experience and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu and another Margarita amd Potato ball.

The bartenders were attentive and the crowd was lively. Drinks were a bit pricy but understandable being Ocean City and a tourist spot. We went at night so we didn't get to try any of the food. We will definitely be back in Ocean City at some point so we will be back for the live music.

I think we had arrived right at the start of it since the earlier of our group did not have to pay it. The interior of the place was very cool and filled with plants and plenty of bars. When we were walking around trying to find our group, there was live music being played with a large area for listening and dancing. We met up with our group and ordered a few drinks and were able to watch the sunset on the water. Our first round of drinks were so tasty and good. However, when we ordered our second round, the drinks were much stronger and not as tasty. I think it was a different bartender, especially since we had ordered the same drink of a long island iced tea. We didn't try any food, so I can't comment on that part. The bathrooms were a bit rough; I'm not sure if there was any working AC in the ones I went to 'cause I was so hot! The door stall in the one I was in also didn't close all the way with almost a full inch gap that you could peer into, so I had to pull it close the whole time I was using the stall. Overall, I would come early to avoid the cover fee and enjoy the atmosphere and drinks!
