I used to honestly love this place and ordered Togo almost monthly. But past few months that quantity and quality has unfortunately slightly degraded. Over priced Indian food. They tried to say that one piece of Naan is a half piece at any another Indian spot. No! One piece should be a full naan. I feel compelled to share the details of my experience due to the severity of the situation that occurred after we left this restaurant. My family and I decided to try this establishment, which had a decent rating, while we were waiting nearby. We ordered butter chicken, samosa chaat, garlic naan, and a separate purchase of Thums Up. The lady who took our order, though her English wasn't very strong, was kind and recommended the samosa chaat, which I ordered. Unfortunately, when we began eating, we encountered several serious issues. The butter chicken was the first red flag. Upon my first bite, I immediately noticed something was wrong--the chicken tasted raw and unappetizing. I didn't mention it to my wife at first, but she confirmed the same issue after her first bite. Upon further inspection, we discovered that every piece of chicken was undercooked, and shockingly, there was something black inside one of the pieces. To make matters worse, we also found a black curly hair in the dish. Although I didn't take a photo of the hair, I now regret not doing so. The garlic naan was soggy, and the samosa chaat was the worst I've ever had, with an incredibly bland flavor and soggy texture. My greatest concern was ensuring that my children, who had taken a bite of the chicken, wouldn't get sick. I immediately called the restaurant to report the issue. The lady who answered seemed unsure how to handle the situation and had to consult with her manager. After several back-and-forth conversations, she apologized and offered a refund, which I appreciated. However, the refund was only for $19, despite my total being close to $47 (including a 20% tip for a takeout order). This felt inadequate, given the serious nature of the food safety issues we encountered, and the fact that I tipped 20% for take out, we didn't dine in. I mean really ? While I appreciate that we didn't get sick from the little we ate, I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and the handling of the situation. Serving undercooked chicken with questionable contents and hair is a serious health concern. I sincerely hope the restaurant addresses these issues, and I caution others to reconsider dining here. Forgot to add that the rice was sooooo dry. I make way better rice at home. I have no idea how these people are in business, let alone these ratings. Blows my mind. read more

It was fine. It took a really long time to get my order of dal (a lentil soup) and garlic naan bread, especially since I was the only customer in-house; nor did I see any signs of an overload of takeout orders. It seemed like I surprised them and they (maybe) had to heat up the tandoori to cook the naan. The ambiance was clean, austere and quiet. There was a little bit of clutter/storage at the North end of the dining room which was just a little bit off putting-nothing dirty or unsanitary. I have always thought that food service storage (containers of whatever and takeout boxes, etc.) should be invisible to the customer in the main dining room. It's one thing to have your special sauce or products on display. It's another thing to have your service inventory taking up a table/booth in what appears to be a permanent storage state. Just saying. The garlic naan was more expensive than I expected-I didn't look at the menu I just ordered what I wanted. Both dishes were tasty. My noted (minor) peccadillos notwithstanding, I recommend it. read more

The place is kind of tucked away unless you're really looking for it. The food was very well flavored and the service is very good. I'll give you an example* they didn't have chicken wings and the chef came out and gave me a recommendation of chicken Pakora. Wow, it was delicious and had a lot of flavor. I also ordered the butter chicken, and mango curry chicken. Both of the orders came out with an order of rice and the rice was even amazing. I also ordered the regular Naan bread. The bread order was a big enough portion for 3 adult's. Overall the experience was great and I'll be coming back to order in the future. The chef and server were both amazing. read more

This is actually my 2nd visit here, and my opinion hasn't changed - so delicious. I ordered for pick up service and again, food is carefully packaged and service is wonderful. We stuck w/the chicken curry, egg fried rice, only this time we added samosa chat. Man, samosa chat was delicious! It had a little tad bit of a sweet taste, just a tad, but the chickpeas or whatever was in it just brought all the flavors together. You can smell all the seasoning when you tear off the plastic wrap and open the container. This place should be a must try for all. read more

I'm so sorry to give such a bad review and it takes a lot for me to give such a rating, but this place has gone down hill since we visited (about a year ago). Beyond the food taking an incredibly long time to come out, I should have noticed that there were no people in the restaurant. I also noticed no fresh(cooked) food smell coming from the kitchen (another red flag). The fellow who came out to us seemed nice, but clearly had a bit of a language barrier, which isn't a problem because at the end of the day, my family was here for the food. We were seated and given menus, no water (until we received our food). At some point he came to take our orders 1) curry chicken 2) palak paneer 3) mushroom masala 4) butter chicken and garlic naan. In the midst of our order, someone else came in for a pickup, and he left us to handle them. We still wanted to order a few other items, but glad we didn't. We waited nearly 40 minutes to get our food (again, no water until it came) and we couldn't hear or smell fresh items cooking. He first brought out plates and silverware. The silverware was NOT clean. The spoons and forks were greasy and still had food stains on the back. I thought it might have been rust, but upon further inspection, I recognized it was left on food. I ended up going to the loo and washing the utensils for my family before we ate. We also wiped our plates down as well. When our food was finally served, it was warm, not hot, but warm -- which is really not a good sign. They brought out the 2 vegetarian dishes and the curry. The butter chicken was another 10m. The palak was so bland ( despite having ordered spicy). They had not fried the seasonings early on, or anything. The mushroom was OK, except that my son bit into something hard. There should not have been anything hard in that dish. I couldn't tell if it was a cardamom seed or something else (I don't want to think about it). My daughter enjoyed her curry, and eventually they brought out the butter chicken for my son. The colouring on the meat was off. Not the brightness that some places have for chicken that has been through the tandoori, but what's worse is that the chicken was not well warmed. My son also complained about a sour taste in the sauce (possibly bad cream or yoghurt?). Either way, we didn't eat any of the chicken after smelling and checking for the food temp. Finally, when the garlic naan was brought out, it was pure chopped and uncooked garlic slapped on the flatbread (which wasn't soft by any stretch of the imagination). Honestly, this was so disappointing that we will never go back. The cutlery being dirty, the food not being hot, and the meat possibly being undercooked was more than we would like to place bets on again. There are other Indian places in Auburn that are far tastier (and cleaner). Too bad that this place went down hill. :( read more

I ordered Garlic Naan, Egg Fried Rice (Biryani), and some Chicken Curry. My order was "to go" so my Naan was foiled, and my rice an curry was seal with a layer for plastic wrap which I so appreciate. The food itself (spice level 3) is absolutely authentic, hot, and delicious! The blended spices on my rice, the scent and taste of the curry, and the hot & lightly garlic taste on the naan - absolutely delicious and worth a try. I hope the location doesn't hurt this restaurant - if only it was near the Outlet Mall where it'd sit visible to those coming & going to the mall - because it's a hidden gem. Inside it has a huge tv and the establishment itself is very clean. We were greeted with a huge smile and the hostess did such a great job in explaining the dishes as we asked questions. read more
