Cardamom is a hidden gem in Auburn! We went on a Thursday night randomly. It was our first time in and the staff were very friendly. We were seated immediately as this wasn't the busiest of nights for them. Ambiance was decent, nothing too special to note. But the food, man it was pretty darn good. We had the mango chicken curry and I would highly recommend. We also had vegetable samosas that were extremely hot and crispy, fresh out of the fryer. The mango lassi was also pretty good. I will go to both though as there are dishes one has that the other doesn't, but this is a new favorite for sure!! Updating my review. We had lunch on a Sunday in person today and liked what we tried. Malai kofta and garlic naan were pretty good. I also like the pyro used for dahi puri and pani puri. Chaat requires a bit more tamarind tanginess otherwise it was good.Chai was also nice but needs bit more masala . They are relatively new in the area so I do want to encourage the business. Service was quick and very friendly. Ambience is pretty casual simple as of now but would recommend coming here for good food. The person at front desk was very warm and friendly and said they are also planning to include some south Indian dishes which I'm excited for personally. There really isn't any place close by those does South Indian at all so that would be interesting. read more

We eat with me and my family and friends. The taste was absolutely authentic, one of the best indian meals I ever ate. For Vegetarian Food we ordered Karahi Paneer, Dahi Puri, and Samosa chat. It was delicious, but I wouldn't say the plates are shareable. Sucks there's no lunch combo. You have to buy the veggie and meat separate, and with an appetizer and drink you're looking at around $70 already. They were very nice, asked how our meal was. Oh my Goodness!!! This place is sooooo good. Some of the VERY BEST Indian Food Ive ever had in the PNW! This hidden gem is worth the drive. It is always fresh and so delicious. I had their Vegetarian Lunch today. Usually a combination of vegetarian dishes. The portions are really good. Their prices are reasonable for what you get. Far too often at Indian restaurants I know that it is day old or more. CARDAMON is FRESH, HOT and prepared by an amazing chef. I have not dined in, my first few orders were Uber Eats, then I downloaded the app and found I dont live to far, I can order on their app or website and it's cheaper. Chicken Tikka Masala lacked flavor and warmth. Garlic naan was barely even toasted. $7 btw for the naan. Customer service was almost nonexistent. Gave us no water. My wife and I got takeout on Sunday. She ordered Chicken Tikka and I ordered Butter Chicken. I really don't like leaving a negative review but I had to do it. The chicken pieces in my butter chiken were very old and dry burnt pieces of chicken leg meat! My wife could hear me tap it with my fork it was so hard and crusty, and the Naan was old. My naan tasted like a saltine cracker without the salt. Worst naan iv'e ever had. I've had better indian food at a mall food court. We at here once before and it was good, but this time was terrible. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the aloo paratha, garlic naan, shahi paneer and the vegetable biryani. The aloo stuffing for the paratha was so good, it had a kick of spice while the coriander was subtle. We got the shahi paneer spicy too, it was a surprise and it paired really well with the naan. Being a vegetarian in this area, I am used to big chunks of veggie in my biryani but this was the opposite. The rice was correctly flavored and aromatic while the veggies were a boost. They had tandoori too which smelled authentic and amazing(courtesy of the side table). Will come back from Seattle to definitely try that out !. The service was very prompt, quick and courteous. My family was craving Indian cuisine around the area and our typical joints (Tandoori Grill, Kanishka) were either closed for the memorial holiday or no longer offering a buffet. Our foodie exploration lead us here and it was another pleasant surprise. We ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, vegetable samosas, and Gobi Manchurian. It was all delightfully delicious especially the gobi! It was so flavorful and will be my primary motivation to return. Service was prompt without compromising quality and the ambiance was inviting. Definitely recommend! My only critique is for them to update the pricing on the menu because it did not match what was charged at the register nor was it communicated prior. This place was the BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT we've ever experienced. Prior we had our two favorites in Portland and Vancouver BC and Cardamom blew them out of the competition. We live in over an hour away, and will happily make the drive just for this food. The service was so warm and kind too. We have 3 feral kiddos that came in overtired after Wild Waves, and they were always friendly and our kids ate everything and used their naan to scrape the bowls. It's comfortable and fancy feeling at the same time. We ordered the lamb tikka masala, butter chicken, goat vindaloo, a veggie dish, a variety naan, and samosas. Highly recommend all of those dishes. The goat could be spicy for some, but it was so tender even my sister who doesn't like too much spice dived right in! We have no pics because.....we devoured it too quickly read more
