I really like that I can get a veggie omelette that's not super greasy. They don't have gluten-free bread or soy milk, some of the things that make a meal complete for me but I consider the area and really no one carries those items around here either so I would not deduct for that. The restaurant seems very clean and we are usually able to sit down right away even though it seems like they do a pretty good business. The last time we ate there waitress tried to take our order before we were ready, then it took her forever to come back even though we clearly were sitting there with menus closed trying to catch her eye. When our food finally arrived it seemed to me that maybe they had a different cook. I was a little concerned that they forgot to hold the cheese, or else my omelette was severely undercooked. It was very gooey inside, not just a little gooey like sometimes omelets are but just gross. The hash browns were really burnt and had no flavor at all. Our waitress never came around to ask us if everything was okay. Now while I know this is getting to be something only professional waitstaff do anymore it is something that I value and I tip on. We did have multiple offers for more coffee throughout the meal from one of the other servers. I was only able to eat half of my omelette and I think the hash browns that we were sharing between the two of us were barely touched. When I told my brother about it and told him who our waitress was he said she's the reason why he will never set foot in that restaurant. We also eat lunches there at least once per visit when we get together with cousins. For someone like myself the menu is very limited and I can usually only order a couple of sides but the rest of the family seems to really enjoy it, especially the sandwiches and the soups. They do have a lovely mural in the one section that I think is worth checking out but I suggest maybe just ordering coffee or something simple that they can't mess up.
