I've been going here for years back when their location was in Jeffersonville. Highly recommend.

What kind of a doctor fires you for that? I will tell you what kind , one that doesn't care about your well being, HE JUST CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY! I knew that though when I had total knee replacement he upped my Methadone instead of giving me something for severe pain! Don't have surgery , because you will totally suffer, with this doctor. I've been going to Dr. Alexander for about 14 years now. I firmly believe he saved my life! I had…read morebeen EVERYWHERE, to help get relief for my daily organic migraines, including the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago. They're supposed to be "THE PLACE" for headaches and migraines but they not only didn't help me, but they didn't listen to me. I had been to many other doctors who didn't listen to me and started rolling their eyes when I got just a little ways into my story. My family doctor had been prescribing pain pills and was getting ready to cut me off because he wasn't allowed to prescribe pain meds for long periods of time. They also wouldn't help me find a pain doctor, I was on my own. I started looking up doctors on the Internet and finding a lot of them not still in practice, or they wouldn't take me for a variety of reasons: I didn't have insurance at that time, so I was self pay, so that was a NO from a lot of them. Some wouldn't take me because I lived outside their county, and I would explain that I wasn't a drug seeker, but that pain pills had been my only relief after many doctors had tested and tried many different meds on me. That was a big NO for a bunch of them. So I was down to the wire, where my doctor was not going to prescribe any more to me, and bad thoughts of taking to the streets was entering my mind. I found a list of 17 more doctors on the Internet, and I sent a letter explaining what I'd been through already, and what I needed. Dr. Alexander's office was the only one to respond to my letter! He listened to me, he helped get me off of some meds that were dangerous and had me loopy feeling, we tried different things, and he knew I wasn't faking. Of course there's been other pains since I first went there, and he is always there to take care of getting rid of those too. He works well with me when I have surgery. And he just always listens to what you need. His staff, is always friendly, helpful, and his office is run in an extremely organized way, so you never spend all day in his waiting room. Dr. Alexander and his staff are my favorite of all time, and I can tell you, I've been to a LOT of doctors!!! He is so knowledgeable about medications, you can ask him about even ones he doesn't prescribe. Although I'll never get rid of these headaches, he helps me tolerate them so I can live! I highly recommend him and his staff, if you are one to follow the rules. If you don't follow the rules, they will boot you out!!

Kind staff, clean office, sanitization procedures enacted, and social distancing enforcement. If…read moreyou absolutely have to go to a clinic in these times, these are the things you hope to see once you get inside. Most of these things existed here in one way or another, and some were strictly enforced, with a few exceptions in their lobby/waiting room. Reception folks had masks. They had a "used pen" basket, but pens and old papers were left on the counter from previous patients. I would have liked to have seen mask enforcement on other waiting patients in the lobby; roping off chairs seemed insufficient as the waiting room is quite small. I would have also liked to have seen hand sanitizer stations near every door with a handle (my glove ripped opening one, which made me afraid to touch anything). The doctor (or APRN) is only allowed to enter your room once, to limit exposure, so he has to make sure he's doing it at the exact right time. For my visit, it was at the end of my appointment, after he had spoken to me on my cell twice, after one nurse asked general history questions (do you smoke, etc), another nurse recorded my symptoms over the phone, and a radiologist took me to get an X-Ray. During the APRN's short time with me, he took my BP, listened to my lungs, took my temp, recorded my RHR, and said he was pretty sure what I had was related to asthma and allergies. He also explained, "We have seen a lot of COVID here," so that I knew why he was unable to remain in the room for more than 5 min. The "a lot of COVID" statement scared me and had me grabbing paper towels from the patient room sink, just in case I had to touch anything on my way out. Most of my visit was by phone call from within the patient room; four phone calls in total to various nurses and the APRN. Why didn't they just do this with me from the parking lot? I spent all day trying to avoid exposure (this all started by a TeleClinic mandating I see someone in person because my symptoms necessitated an "in-person evaluation and diagnosis"), so leaving me in a room where numerous COVID patients were recently shedding for at least an hour each, felt like unnecessary risk to a non-COVID patient if evaluation was all to occur via phone anyway. During my visit, I also had a chest X-Ray due to chest pain, tightness and difficulty breathing; I was told I'd be given another mask, but they let me wear my personal, homemade mask. When all was said and done, I (an otherwise healthy patient, with asthma), was exposed the second-hand COVID germs for almost 90 minutes and was left to ensure my own sanitization for much of that time (mostly by avoiding touching anything). All in all, it was likely safer than shopping at Costco, and they had a lot of the right procedures in place, but I would prefer better enforcement and more safeguards and consideration be applied from the patient's perspective, and not just the clinic staff's perspectives. However, they were very kind and attentive, and I felt they truly did care about ensuring a correct diagnosis before I left their building.

The doctor rushed in, was in a hurry, rude as hell, and acted like she didn't believe me when I told her how I felt. Was in and our in about 2 minutes. When I was in the room with the doctor, he introduced himself and gave a bit of his history so I could know who I'm entrusting my health with. (I knew right then this was different than others who expect respect based solely on their title). He then asked me about myself and my life. Asked what my goals and expectations were. Honestly, I've not felt like my healthcare was a joint effort with a doctor as much as I have until this visit. I felt heard, seen, and valued. When we discussed renewal of existing prescriptions, he questioned the logic behind each and we came up with a me go forward plan based on what is safest and most logical as a Plan A, He even took time to check my insurance as we talked to see if the meds he discussed would be covered, to save us all time and headache. I picked this doctor randomly from my insurance list, but I now feel so lucky that I did!
