I know, that sounds weird, but most VA hospitals kind of run and look similar. Entering the grounds is fairly simple. However, the tricky part here is finding a close enough parking spot without having to walk a mile. The parking overall is a mess, but what makes it worse is how the lots are set up and how many one ways there are within each parking area. Each day that I arrived here, I would drive around ten to twenty minutes until I found an actually spot within a decent walking distance. There are two entrances here, East and West. Most people seem to park near and enter at the West entrance. Something to keep in mind, if you use the entrance you are entering on the basement level. But that's if you are here to visit the main building as there are many outlying buildings that I have no idea what is in them. In the main building you can get wherever you need and if you do not know where you are going, you can stop by the information desk and they will direct you to where you need to be within seconds. This whole place is beautiful. The grounds are amazing and good for walking. But, very soon, a lot of what is here will be transferring to the new facility that is nearly complete. So, if it is like other areas, they will abandon a perfectly good piece of land for "greener" pastures and let this sit to rot. Greener here, means right next to the Interstate.

I just recently visited here after a long shift at work. I hadn't been feeling well for the past…read moreweek and decided to come here since it was not far from my workplace (and open past 8pm). This building has an ambulance only entrance and another entrance in the back. They do have metal detectors and do bag searches if you bring bag/purse in. My keys were held because I had pepper spray attached to it. Going to the front desk it moved quickly beings I have a mybaptist chart. I was taken to a room and triaged quickly. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. I was seen by RN for vitals and to be swabbed for Covid/Flu and strep. After that seen by registration. It did take some time to be seen by a provider. Once seen an initial exam was done and my swab results all came back negative. I was prescribed some strong cough medicine and went to nearest 24 hour pharmacy. When checking out, that's when I had to pay my co-pay vs paying up front. I did get my keys back and checking the time. I was there for only over an hour. I read other reviews where people waited longer. I guess it depends on how many people are there and if you're there for urgent care/ER visit. ER is 24/7 Urgent care 7a-9p. I had an excellent experience and couldn't ask for better quality of care. I'd definitely come back here.

Everyone that comes and goes wants to know if we need anything or help with anything. All labs results, X-rays, etc.... right there!! We are so fortunate to have this type facility near our home. Appreciate all the outstanding staff and the professional care given. The minute you step into the waiting room/reception, you feel comfort and assurance that you selected the best facility to handle your issues. Thank you!!

Yea, the looks are pretty bare minimum on the outside. The waiting room is devoid of color, excitement, and basically everything (I was the only one in there for my short 10 minute wait). But that's the glory of it. I was in and out of this place in an hour! In fact within that hour time span I was already on the way to the pharmacy. So this place ruled. I saw a Nurse Practitioner who was able to easily identify my issue. Not gonna lie, I already identified my issue before being seen, which was some type sinus/ear infection. But she told me that after her assessment that was her suspicion and followed up with a "now let's see what your white blood cell count-- oh wow. Well with how good you look now, I wasn't expecting it to be THAT high." Let's face it. I'm a warrior. Anyways, this place got me in an out faster than any other. Plus it's across the street from work. No copay for me. They will charge you whatever your normal doctors office does. Haven't gotten the bill yet but I have a feeling it will be worth the prompt care I received.

I think I missed the Louisville YELP Elite Event of the year. Why? I was otherwise occupied with a…read morevisit at this establishment. The outcome good, the review a definite 5 star experience. Some healthcare settings are an automatic blood pressure raising experience from the start with the registration experience. This place is not so. I had a gentleman call me the day before my scheduled procedure and handle the majority of the preregistration over the phone. He politely advised me all that was left to do was show up at the correct time with my picture id, my insurance card, and my designated driver. DONE, 5 stars for admissions/registration After finishing with registration I walked into the next private office where the tech completed my day of procedure blood work. I can be difficult for a tech to find a vein to draw blood from so I always warn them not to worry if it takes several tries. WOW, this tech actually got it on the first try and within 5 minutes I was totally finished with labs. DONE, 5 stars for lab work I was then escorted to the correct side of the large waiting room to be called back for Prep. Two - three minutes and the nurse arrived to escort me back for surgical prep. She told my husband after I was prepped someone would come out to get him. The Prep nurses were polite, efficient, friendly and calming. One nurse recapped all my medications and allergies to make sure paperwork was complete and correct. The other nurse took all my vitals (blood pressure, temperature, etc.) They advised me I was next up for the doctor but that they would bring my husband back until it was my turn. DONE, 5 stars again It's my turn for the Cardiac Cath lab. The nurse walks me over and at the same time walks my husband to the waiting room. The nurses in the Cath lab all knew their jobs and were efficient yet friendly. My cardiologist arrived on the scene and the cath was done. After the procedure my husband was escorted into the room so the doctor could review the results with both of us together. DONE, PLUS GOOD NEWS, a definite 5 star experience. Then it was off to recovery. The nursing staff In this area obviously all like their jobs. In the hours it took to go through the recovery process they were caring, social and distinguished professionals. The three hours that require different stages in recovery all breezed past. I was given clear written discharge papers, my husband was sent to the garage for our car and I was wheeled out to meet him in front of the Rudd Heart & Lung Center. 5 stars Not that I want to frequent medical facilities, I would be treated here without hesitation if there was a need .

This review is for the Emergency Room at Jewish Hospital. I tripped late at night and hit my face…read moreon a sharp edge. I didn't want to go in at the time, it didn't look that bad. The next morning, I decided to have it evaluated. I heard Jewish had plastic surgeons on standby, so we drove down on a Saturday morning around 10 am. We were greeted and given papers to fill out while they copied insurance information. No more than 5 minutes later, I was called into triage. I hadn't even finished paperwork! From there, I was led back to a room where I saw a nurse immediately. Followed behind her was a very personable ER doctor who explained why lacerations are best treated earlier, but he went right to work on my injury. He talked thoroughly about wound care and after care for scarring. The nurses then fashioned a less than obvious cover for it. My husband and I could not believe how quick and thorough the process was. I'm healing well and still am amazed how thorough they run the ER at Jewish. I don't look forward to a future visit, but it will definitely be here!

My grandma came to this hospital due to an emergency and the doctors are so lazy they didn't even…read moreclean a wound that was real dirty. we found out that their was still leaves, dirt and grass still under the skin that was already tore over half way off which they should have done their job but they didn't and they never will! it's more than just a cut and they couldn't do their job and clean my grandma up properly. They better hope it does not get infected then we can prove that this hospital didn't do their job and then their will be a big law suit! We will be figuring out where to report this hospital this hospital should be shut down!!!!!!!!!! This hospital should not be open right now they do not know what they are doing at all if you have an emergency please go to another hospital if you don't then you will not be getting treated properly! I can't believe this, it's so unreal! Trump needs to start going after these hospitals that don't care about their patients! I cannot believe they letted my grandma leave in such bad condition such a shame and guess what they got paid for it when they should have not!! I will be blasting this hospital out everywhere including all my racing buddy's so that the truth about this hospital gets spread out to everyone in Kentucky and around Kentucky. I will make sure people know not to come here!!!!!! Karma will come back to this hospital and it will hit hard!

Be it this experience was different, sure the wait was awful, but anyone and not just me that needed anything, those nurses made sure to something for any request they could fulfill in that moment. many patients approachEd the desk, asking simply for medication while they wait, and like I said they did that and many others, they did their job and they did it really well. Once they figured out everything and I was able to be seen, they took care of me and I felt like family to strangers in company. Shout out to Katlyn, and making sure I was in the loop of what to do going forward, I felt very comfortable handling myself from this experience. I really appreciated the time they took to take care of me, I hope they all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!!
