One star because zero wasn't an option. I purchased the Hailey furniture from Havertys thinking I was investing in high-quality leather. Within less than 30 days, one of the pieces had to be replaced and that's when I learned the disappointing truth: this isn't top-grain or genuine leather. It's "performance leather" coated in polyurethane, which means it's essentially a plastic layer over low-grade leather. The material may look beautiful on the showroom floor, but it does not hold up in real life. The so-called "leather" started showing damage almost immediately, and instead of standing behind the product, Havertys tried to blame the issue on pet damage and push me toward using my protection plan which completely misses the point. The problem isn't wear and tear; it's poor-quality materials disguised as luxury. For the price, I expected durability, integrity, and honesty from the brand. Unfortunately, all I got was frustration and disappointment. If you're considering the Hailey collection or any "performance leather" from Havertys, do your research first -- this is not real leather, and it does not perform like it. read more

just move to TX. We went into the store, and were treated by a woman who was condescending and not at all friendly. When we didn't like what she showed us she actually walked away so we left. we found a special order online and thought, the company has decent ratings, maybe it's just this store, so let's order. Wrong move! Five weeks later we still don't have our items without any communication. I've followed up four times. Today I cancelled the order and now I'm out shopping again...do NOT shop or order from Haverty's. maybe is they have the item in the store you'll get lucky....but...good luck. read more

We were looking for a new dining room set for Thanksgiving. It was too late to get something delivered, but the salesperson was very helpful in finding us a really nice showroom display for sale. He helped us make sure that there were no problems with the table. The price was reduced, we were able to pick it up. The fellow in the service area was very helpful in getting it loaded and getting it ready for us. The only drawback was when I got it home I noticed one of the chair was a bit loose. I tightened all the screws on all the chairs and we have our beautiful new table in time for Thanksgiving! read more

Was told we would get a discount. Trusted the sales lady to apply it to the purchase but realized upon looking at my reciept and doing the math, no discount was applied. Double-check to make sure they are ACTUALLY honoring discounts before purchasing. read more

When into find a sectional and was greeted right away! Super nice customer service employees unfortunately due to weather our couch was delayed, but to make things right they offered to deliver the couch free of charge! And when the delivery drivers delivered the couch they were amazing! They even made sure that the couch was where we wanted it before they left! Shopped around for the past month or so for new sofa set, wasn't in a hurry. Decided to try Havertys in Longview and I am glad I did. I'm not easy to convince so I don't normally care for salespeople. However Jorden greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed any assistance, when we mentioned we were "just looking " he gave us space. We found a beautiful set and Jorden helped us place our order. He explained the protection plans, delivery, etc. Our furniture was delivered on the day it was scheduled and on time. The delivery guys were friendly and got the job done. I love our new sofa's and they look amazing. I pray I never need the protection plan but if I do I hope they're just as efficient and friendly as Jorden and the delivery guys. :) read more

The sales staff was friendly enough. The custom sofa we ordered arrived in the time-frame specified. And it was all downhill from there. After only a few weeks, we noticed that the center of the sofa was sagging. We contacted the local store and they had us contact the 800 number for customer service. Customer service sent out a "White Glove Service" technician. He agreed that there was a problem with the sofa...one that he could not figure out nor fix. He reported this to customer service. They called us the next day and informed us that our only recourse was with the manufacturer....in other words "it's not our problem". Haverty's customer service said they would report the problem to the manufacturer and that the manufacturer would contact us within 24-48 business hours. It's now been four business days and no word from either Haverty's nor the manufacturer. Based on recent contact with Haverty's I doubt we will reach an amicable resolution. I'll update with any addendums. In the meantime, I strongly recommend against purchasing from this business (or any business) that does not stand behind what it sells. Update: It took nearly 8 months (and six service visits), but the issues with the sofa were finally resolved. Due to poor workmanship of the original sofa and shoddy replacement components, the service technician had to repeatedly order new parts and make numerous on site visits. Finally, they sent an entire replacement sofa. It doesn't make us forget all the unnecessary hassle, but it does provide us with the sofa we wanted.
