I walked in and the owner/gentleman was very welcoming. He explained that all the jewelry on the window was made locally. As I browsing, he told me the different types of glass and beads that went into each piece, he was super informative! Lol he even helped me decide between the two earrings that I wanted. The local jewelry was inexpensive, and he also had some other beautiful pieces in glass displays. You are free to open up the displays and touch the pieces (he encouraged it). I'm very happy with my purchase, and I was delighted at the awesome service :)

This location is rich with history, and it's befitting that this little antique shop is sitting in the middle of an area that goes back in time. I am old enough to remember the Waialua Sugar Mill burning cane back in the 90's as I drove to Mokuleia Beach and seeing black debris of flying burnt sugar cane drift across my car windshield, along with smoke. The mill closed down in 1996 then became abandoned over time, then opened back up with new shops and little local stores, like this one. It's a very tiny store, no bigger than a small studio, but has a variety of really nice antiques crammed with vintage Pyrex, glassware, clothing, Pan-Am bags, hat boxes, costume jewelry, and anything else you care to explore. The owner Etsuko is super friendly and we spent a while discussing vintage clothing, barware, jewelry and the finer things that were important in life in the days when things were meant to last and not fall apart after a season of use. I've walked pass this store several times over the years at Ala Moana and never knew what it was. They do have some really nice high end items that are being sold on eBay. Got to Ala Moana Tuesday morning at 10 am when they opened up. My family and I were buzzed into the store. I said I wanted to sell items to them. We were told only bags, purses, muumuus, aloha shirt ok, but no shoes or toys. The three items I could sell to them was a new with tags Michael kors purse I bought in 2020 that I never used. People online were selling the same purse at $255, a 2013 San Diego comic con original Batman cast swag bag and a new and unused Victoria secret marketing bag. The very sweet clerk put the items into a bin, gave me number and said it would take 30-mins to review the items. We took a few minutes to browse the store and they do have some really nice items. Really good place to come to if you were eying a specific LV purse a few years ago that sold out before you could get to it. It might be here for a few $100 less. Im told that LVs in good condition tend to keep their value. I didn't have breakfast so we headed to the food court. While eating, got a phone call that they were done with evaluating the items. I kind of knew what I was going to be offered for my MK purse and I got a bit more than I expected. For the other two items, I'm surprised I got an offer but they were in really good condition. All in all, I made $51. This was a great learning experience and we will definitely be back to both sell and shop. Next, looking forward to trying a consignment closet.

I never ever considered shopping at a second hand store let alone to sell my items that I no longer need/use that I usually do donate rather than to just toss it away is always a great solution not just to make some extra money but just knowing that it's not the end of the road for many loved items. If Eco-Town Select which is located ocean side in Ala Moana Center is located on the street level which is one level below the mall level sounds familiar they do have Eco Town in Iwilei which does buy more standard item while this Ala Moana location is much more selected. It's understandable and quite refreshing to see their inventory of upscale and brand name items along with more popular trend items as well. While I was browsing around I was more interested in some of their jewelry more costume ones that were holiday themed that I do have an idea for its use is cool to see along with vintage Japan Airline bags, various brand Aloha Shirts, totes, shoes and even Disney ears which I have a similar one that lights up. The staff there is friendly as they greet each guests that walks in the door and even made sure that they're always open to purchase our items. Small business like this that gives items life is great as the price isn't only that's nice but the selection of item that's selected as well. Thank you!

This unassuming little building at the entrance to Petco and Walgreens is barely noticeable, except…read morethe last time Kristine C. and I drove by, we noticed an inviting Thrift Store sign! We had to check it out. A travel agency that just doesn't have the clientele anymore, the owners decided to turn most of their office space into a little thrift and consignment store. They have all manner of typical thrift goods: jewelry, toys, records, books, home goods, clothing, decor, and others. Prices are reasonable and typical. The only thing lacking is the selection; they have what they have and that's it. The cashier volunteer that day was very friendly and talked story with us for quite a while. It's worth checking out if you enjoy bargain and treasure hunting. Half their profits go to a local charity.

A Thrift Store Edition…read more My little family and I were driving down the street on Beretania for another errand when a green sign on the left screamed "Thrift Shop, today!" If you currently do business with Cosmopolitan Travel (name is on their building), on the same shopping center (where Petco and Walgreens is) this quaint little thrift store is in the same brick and mortar. The travel agency has long existed for many years and decided to add a little boutique as part of their business venture. The entrance is located on the back side of the boutique/travel agency and has their own mini lot. Drive in to the lot like you're going to Petco. The boutique is rather homey and tiny with an eclectic amount of knick knacks and small trinkets in every corner. Make sure you're looking up and down and in every crevice of this tiny store. Don't forget to look deep into the glass shelves for rare vintage/costume jewelries, pins and such. On the back a small rack of mixed articles of clothing, bags are hung up for perusing. Are you looking for kitchen cups and plates? On the back displays plenty for one to touch and feel. "If you don't buy it today, it may not be here tomorrow." which is true on all rules of treasure hunting. Delicate china's are in store along with shells, Christmas decorations, CD's, movies, 45 RPM records. The price is attractive for every piece you find. Eva was kind enough to tell us about the store she's looking after with her additional stories of history. It made our perusing experience that much more pleasant. I found a few things that I liked but not enough to buy. There's a lot to look at and also more things upstairs. Stepping inside, there was so much to see and so much I wanted to buy. It immediately gave me bubble guts. My senses were overloaded in the best way possible. The building itself is a two-bedroom classic cottage, converted into a store, giving you multiple rooms to explore. It's clean, easy to move around, well organized and perfectly curated. I would pick up one must-have item only to have something else catch my eye. Best of all, the prices here are more than reasonable. And the cherry on top is friendly service. I can't wait to go back!
