Unfortunately for me, my shoulder hurt so bad that I couldn't stay motionless for them to get quality results. So, I got more painkillers and went back 2 days later @ 0645. I got there at 0630 and the receptionist came out at 0655. I initialed and dated 2 forms and was lead into the changing room. After a while I walked back to the reception to ask when will I be attended to. The receptionist told me that my appointment was actually at 0715. So I asked him why would; they tell me to come in at 0645, half an hour earlier than my appt, just to initial and date twice. I am not a morning person and I don't wake up to an alarm since retirement 15 years ago. He told me to complain th the MRI tech, which I did but I know nothing would be done about it.

What a great idea! All Access Ortho is just a couple of blocks from my office, and 5 miles from home. Add to that their 7-days-a-week and late availability for walk-in appointments, and it's all a great setup. On both visits, I needed to have x-rays taken, and it's convenient and fast, right there. The doctor's and nurses I've seen have been kind, efficient and knowledgeable. I liked them enough that I even took my other half there when he needed ortho care. He got good care, as well. Parking is free and right out front, and in a separate, smaller lot from the other shops (Foodland, etc.) on the strip mall, which makes it pretty easy. If the lot gets full, there's lots more closer to the shops, and even street parking very close by. As for billing, I found the pricing no different from any of my other medical visits, using my great insurance.

He couldn't very well miss the pizza party as our older one ordered and was carrying the many boxes of pizza to the field with the help of a family friend's son. Even though it's a Sunday and just a drop off, you must pull a ticket, enter, then make a U- ey back out for no charge. Luckily have been here before for the doctor that does our colonoscopy. I didn't notice this building where Elephant and Castle Restaurant used to be... a long time ago... on Kaahumanu Street. Anyway, I just used GPS to find the building. Aunty said that if I park on the 3rd level of the structure, there's a walkway that connects straight to the building. She was right! There's even a convenient lab on the ground floor of the building... yay! Inside, the directory and signs were helpful. The only downside was paying for parking. The doctor's office doesn't validate. There was a kiosk next to the elevator that accepted credit card payments. I'm glad that I paid before we returned to the car. The car in front of me had problems exiting... because they didn't pre-pay...

Her doctor sent the paperwork electronically to Diagnostic Laboratory Services on the ground level of the Mary Savio Medical Plaza. There are two entrances to the lab - one from the parking lot and one from the lobby of the building. There were enough chairs for everyone waiting for their turn. We took a number and sat down. We even had time to use the convenient restroom! When aunty's number was called, her birthday and insurance were verified. She was asked when she last ate because the doctor ordered fasting labs... oh, oh... she had eaten breakfast. The lab called the doctor and got the okay to draw blood without fasting 12 hours. Yay! The technician got the blood samples in one try... excellent! We were on our way in no time! Thanks for the professionalism and efficiency!

Seeing firsthand how well they cared for their patient while I was there during the admission completely changed my perspective. The staff was attentive and professional, and it truly restored my trust and confidence in their level of care. This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. Little comforts like that really make a difference when you're spending hours there.

The nurse and doctors are so nice and not clinical. Takes their time to ask questions and doesn't make you feel rushed or like a number! It is a walk-in clinic so first come first serve. The best thing is, after you check in, they let you know when to come back. So do not call to make an appointment. I would say the latest to go would probably be 3pm to be safe if you want to be seen. I went on a Sunday at 1 and they were all booked and they close at 4pm. If you are skeptical about here, don't be. It would be a good decision to go.

The last time I did a telehealth with him, our internet service went down after the first 30 seconds and I called him back immediately, but his nurse said "he's moved on to his next patient" and I got slapped with a co-payment/bill for that telehealth visit that didn't even happen! One of his APRNs prescribed an antibiotic meant for upper respiratory infections for my UTI - haiyaa! (Uncle Roger sound). I hope my PCP/APRN are not reading this, but if they are, they will know where I disappeared to, and it is here, my new medical home for non-emergencies! I still love them but I also love this place....a LOT. Access Medical Mililani is my new go-to place when I can no longer: 1) wait days/weeks for an appointment 2) suffer insanely 3) bear the thought of waiting 45 minutes to 1 hour or more in the waiting room to be seen by my PCP 4) bear the thought of driving in traffic going to the appointment, being stuck in a crowded paid parking lot with bad drivers, being stuck in traffic going home all while feeling sick 5) wonder how my PCP can diagnose me over the phone without checking my lungs, my ears, my throat. Both doctors took care of me on two separate occasions - in person! No telehealth Tom Foolery here. They were very knowledgeable, professional, caring, and kind. They explained everything in detail and I never felt rushed. I really appreciated their time in taking care of me. I was very grateful for this place and all doctors/workers that run this clinic. I overheard the receptionist say that they take Quest insurance, and that is great, because a lot of places will not take Quest. I know so many people that need help with Quest but they can't get seen. The name "Access" in Access Medical really is a great name for this place. I also love the fact that they charge you the co-payment right up front instead of having it to mail it by check weeks later, which is inconvenient to a procrastinator like myself who throws mail into a big pile without checking it for weeks. This place is super convenient, inside of Mililani Long's Town Center. Parking is free, zip in and out. It's a walk-in clinic only, so no appointment needed. I don't see people waiting too long to be seen. Shop at Long's while you get your RX filled out conveniently in the store. RETURN FACTOR: Don't want to have to look forward to going to a medical clinic anytime soon, but when I do, it will be Access Medical.
