Walking into this place is like a time warp to the 70's early 80's, The building is very outdated and so is the inside. There's one receptionist out front and two swing doors (sort of out of a Western saloon) that block the inside x-ray rooms. Everyone in the office, sans the old local Japanese guy with a mullet and big Mr. T-chain on his neck with his son that looked like his twin (with a chain too!), was fresh off the boat immigrants. No problem...until I realize they all were getting chest x-rays. Ewww, they all possibly have TB. I wanted to take a shower in rubbing alcohol. After waiting one hour in that tiny god forsaken "waiting room" I go in the back and get my x-ray taken by "Neil Abercromie's brother". He even tells me taking an ankle xray, or anything else apparantly other than chest xrays is a rarity for him. What is this? The Lanakila TB Center?! Germ central. I got the heck out of there fast. Hopefully I don't die of coughing out blood soon.

Cause of a long wait the patients started to use the barhroom which so happens to be inside the xray room. When we asked what's taking so long, The radilogistl got mad and in a loud voice said that everbody keeps using the bathroom. Why is the bathroom inside the x-ray room in the first place? Definitely not recommendable.

Seeing firsthand how well they cared for their patient while I was there during the admission completely changed my perspective. The staff was attentive and professional, and it truly restored my trust and confidence in their level of care. This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. Little comforts like that really make a difference when you're spending hours there.

We had an emergency just a month ago and they took it seriously and I felt like we were in good hands. And then we went to the hospital Side for the first time a few days ago. The campus is beautiful, people were friendly, and the staff was helpful and directing us where we needed to go. We got the MRI that "tripler hospital" did not give my Husband. Queens gave the reading of the MRI the following day. If we weren't military, I would choose to come to this hospital for my Care.

Makes you feel clusterphobic. * Overprescribed antibiotics. * Lost records. Pros: * Free parking * Friendly front office staff * Walk ins welcomed and prioritized She was my first pediatrician way back and I had no one else to compare her too until later when I transferred to Kaiser-which was an upgrade. I didn't understand why I would be scheduled at 8 or 830am and she would come in at 9a or much later. Her waiting room would already be at full capacity and patients would still be outside the door and she has yet to arrive. I wouldn't get seen until lunch or later. Everytime I saw her for a cold or flu, she would always prescribe antibiotics. I had an ongoing condition under which most providers would refer to a specialist, but she did not. She would only refer to a radiologist for xrays and diagnostic lab for lab work needed. The radiology office is another can of worms-especially the older receptionist when questioning the paperwork or billing. She is not someone I would ever come back to nor bring my kids for patient care. My problems got taken cared of at Kaiser and later in private practice for adult care.

But even walk ins are useless because the wait time takes forever. The nurse is unorganized. And the pediatrician looks lazy. Idk how she's still a doctor. She pokes the needles into the bed that the children lie on instead of throw it into the hazard waste basket right away. Like idk how many needles have been poked into that bed. And they don't even keep files in an appropriate space. I went to her before I left the island to grab my childrens immunization records and the nurse said she had to go find it. Find it? I'm already off the island and trying to register the kids for school and I've been calling her at least once a week and she hasn't found the time to just email them to me?!? Like how hard is it? If you want a pediatrician, she isn't it. Good luck if you do.

But I'm grateful for the pharmacy team here because they always seem to have what I need. Whenever you need to speak with a pharmacist, they make themselves available so you can better understand what you're putting into your body. I just love Kaiser and the modern care they provide. I needed a prescription refill, and I was able to message my doctor directly through the Kaiser app. I also couldn't make it to my appointment in person yesterday, so I rescheduled it as a phone visit today. My doctor called me, we discussed what was going on, and she was able to prescribe new medication and provide the care I needed all over the phone. I think that's so cool. I also asked if I could get some bloodwork done, and she placed the order right away. I love the care I receive from Dr. Medina. She is amazing!

Check-in across from elevators and ladies are very patient and nice, giving directions what floor, what letter to look for, where elevators located, where lab is and must check in there for blood test. Shot Clinic upstairs so took elevator and it's under Letter D. Good signage. Waited one minute in wait area and called in to sit, get my vaccinations quickly and then out. Nurse was very efficient and pleasant. You must make an appointment for flu and Covid vax as this location does not do walk-ins. Pensacola used to but not sure if they still do. Lab was packed so they ask you to take a number to be called to their window to check in. I decided not to do it this time since I figured it would be at least 30 min based on amount of people in their waiting room. It was a Tuesday around 10:00 am. As I was departing, they had tables set up on lanai of front entrance selling coffee, snacks and a short line was forming. All in all it was a very good first experience at this location and I'll return for blood work.
