I've been coming here for the Girls Night Out event that's put on by Pali Momi. They do a great job on pampering the women as well as having informative speakers. This time around we had live music, a Q&A on cervical cancer, refreshments, facials, art & craft, hair styling, makeup and smoothies. It's a great event that my friends and I really enjoy going to. Especially the different topics that they have. This events theme was be a Pineapple! "Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside!"

Forget being Queen for a day, when you have your mammogram done at Pali Momi Women's Center you'll feel like the most precious catered to Princess. From the moment I stepped in the glass doors, I was acknowledged and even escorted down the elevator, seated by the kindest woman who brought me a pink slip of paper to sign in on. She told me where to get coffee, etc. & the location of the restroom. She kept checking on me until I was called to be checked in. From there I was taken by another lady to the lockers and changing rooms and instructed where the waiting area was. After a little while I was introduced to the technician who would be performing the 3D imaging. She was super professional, caring and gentle throughout the procedure. I personally would cringe at disrobing and displaying my top half at such an ordeal but for some reason, this was the most bearable of all past experiences. Although there was no carriage awaiting, the same technician walked me back to my locker and told me to take a rose as I departed. Taking the elevator back up, the first woman I met upon arrival told me to have a nice day. Like a fairy godmother wisking me off on my merry way, she said it's a good time to be leaving. I said why because of the traffic? She said no look at the clouds. As if by magic, as soon as my rose and I stepped out of the glass doors, by the time I got into my car and headed home, the clouds let loose s huge downpour. I tell you, there was something magical about that appointment.

Pali Momi Outpatient Center is an exceptional place for care. I've visited here at least 3 times a week. The services that are completed are same day services. The Specialists are knowledgeable, caring and professional. They offer MRI's and various Women services. As well as Diagnostic Imagining. There is ample parking as well as a lot security attendant. I was there at 6am for my appointment. I felt safe and comfortable in the early morning. On the lower level, I went in for my Mammogram and they offered me coffee or hot Tea. I was seen promptly. The warm house coats are a plus up. When my procedure was over I received a rose. If you need specialty services, this is the place to have them completed. My MRI was in the preformed on the ground level, where parking is. They're doing some construction however it is still clean and looks good. While you wait for your MRI procedure, there's a massage chair in the room. You can get a total body massage while you wait and after your procedure is completed. During the procedure the specialist provided you with head phones to listen to music. Cool that she asked me what I wanted to listen to. The MRI machine is so loud, it like standing near an airplane wing. The head phones really reduced the noise. They'll also provide you a copy of the MRI Imaging upon request. I'm truly glad that I choose Pali Momi outpatient center for my care.

So I came for a social event here during Breast Cancer Awareness month. I came for free manicures and food and unexpectedly ended up getting a mammogram, even though I'm not even 40 yet. This place Is conveniently located by Ross's in Pearlridge (old Inspiration location). There's a parking lot in front which can be crowded depending on the time of day. There is someone who greets you when you walk in and directs you downstairs where you will sign some papers and wait for someone to call you to the back. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside facilities look new and very clean. The place felt friendly and very welcoming which was nice considering I was about to have have my girls out in front of a stranger, who would squish them into pancakes. Once your name is called, you are taken to an area with dressing rooms and lockers. They give you a robe to change into and you can leave your personal items in the locker (you can lock it and hold the key). Then you wait in another room with other women for a technician to call you to perform the mammogram. There are magazines to read, but who can concentrate? The lady who did my first mammogram was very nice and understanding since she knew I was a bit worried and it was my first mammogram. She made me feel comfortable and explained things along the way. Once you're done, you go back to the waiting room to wait for them. The technician will come back after the doctor looks at the images and will tell you that you can go or if anything further needs to be done. The results are sent to your doctor. Well, I had my first mammogram and thought I was done. Nope. A few days later, I got a phone call that they wanted to schedule another mammogram since some parts of the image were concerning and they wanted to make sure everything was ok. So a week later, I was back and had a second mammogram and an ultrasound. This time the mammogram was much more painful. I don't know if it was the technician or maybe since I was more anxious since I was worried. The doctor who did the ultrasound was very nice and understanding, especially since I started crying because I started to think about all these things and was worried. Thankfully, everything was clear. But was advised that I needed a six month follow up appointment. I swear this was the most activity that my girls have had ever! The technician I had at the six month follow up was the gentlest and friendliest. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. I told her how painful it was the last time, so she kept checking on me if I was ok through the process. I hope I get her again the next time I have to come back. Thank you Kim. Overall, the staff here are really friendly and nice. From start to finish, they try their best to make you feel comfortable and this makes a HUGE difference since it's definitely not the most pleasant experience and it's a very sensitive topic. Btw, they give you a rose when you're done which is a very nice gesture to end the experience with. Pardon the long review, but I know I was anxious for my first and follow mammogram and wanted to let others know about their procedure to put them at ease.

I should have done this years ago. All health care facilities need lessons from this place. Customer service is efficient yet compassionate. Technicians are always gentle yet firm in making sure breast placement is done quickly and correctly to minimize the time under pressure. And, the facilities are always clean and peaceful. To top it all off, their operations are frictionless. I arrived at 7:40 for an 8:00am appointment and I was out by 7:57! After many years of being in business, they are still giving a fresh rose after your appointment. And, during October (breast cancer awareness month) you get a small gift. This year is a cute pink backpack. I love this place. Now, if they can also provide pap smears, that would be awesome! They make a painful experience beautiful. Do I dare say it? Yes, I actually look forward to my mammogram.

The center is quiet and welcoming, with a smooth check-in process and a spacious, comfortable waiting room. The bathrooms are always clean, and the staff are consistently kind, friendly, and understanding. Even though I get nervous before each appointment, the staff's patience and compassion help put me at ease. After check-in, you're called back to change into a robe and store your belongings in a secure, key-locked locker. From there, you wait in a calming area decorated with beautiful paintings, a ceiling of white clouds and blue sky, and soft Hawaiian music playing in the background. There are two waiting rooms to choose from, both relaxing, with the cooking channel often playing on TV -- small touches that make the experience more comfortable. When it's time for the exam, the staff guide you through each step with professionalism and care. At the end, the physician reviews your images and shares the results with you right away, and you can also access your report conveniently through MyChart. Overall, Pali Momi Women's Center provides excellent care in a setting that feels supportive, clean, and calm. For something that can be a stressful part of life, they make the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible.

However, they continued to send me wrong parts and refused to pay for shipping. The only way to return them, is for you to take off of work and return them to their office. They don't respond to emails or calls and the only people you can get a hold of is there overseas support who has no authority or power to make any decisions. I came here due to a non-healing wound on my tongue. I had a minor, unexpected surgery on April 2nd…read moreto remove 4 mm of my tongue for a biopsy. My doctor was kind and empathetic throughout the whole process. I felt no pain during the fast, less than 51-minute visit, even after receiving two stitches. The numbing spray helped ease the pain of the shot. It wasn't until after the procedure that I felt immense pain. I did not receive a pamphlet like I usually do after hospital visits, nor did I receive instructions on how to care for myself. An hour later, the pain hit me like a tidal wave. It was excruciating. I'm glad Kaiser has an app where we can speak to our PCP right away. If we can't reach them, we can call urgent care and get a callback with advice. The doctor called the pharmacy to ensure I had pain medicine and mouthwash. My surgeon called the next morning to check on me, which I appreciated. However, my stitches came undone the next day. I went to the ER in Wahiawa. It took an hour to be admitted, and once seen, they quickly decided not to do anything since it was clotted. I explained I have a hard time healing, but they said tongues heal quickly and didn't want to mess with that. They told me to follow up with my surgeon if needed. Two days passed, and I seemed fine. I barely talked or ate to allow healing. Monday passed with light talking. Tuesday I talked more, and it hurt less. Then Wednesday at 7 a.m., I woke up choking on blood. My tongue was dripping like a faucet. Because of my experience in Wahiawa, I stayed home and tried to manage it. It took 5 hours for the bleeding to stop. I slept again and woke up choking on blood around 4 p.m. That's when I knew home care wasn't enough. I didn't want to return to Wahiawa, so I went to the location where my surgery was done. I'm happy to say the care there made me feel at ease. They didn't make me feel like a burden. I was spitting blood from the parking lot to the ER and into my room. After receiving five stitches, I was sent home. A few hours later, I coughed and started bleeding again, like a sprinkler so I was brought back to the ER. The night team was kind and patient. The doctor prepared to stitch again but saw clotting and decided not to. Another team considered cauterizing, which I would have preferred, but also chose not to due to clotting. I slept through most of the night with nurses checking in. One nurse told me my oxygen levels dropped while sleeping due to an obstruction. The most stressful part was using my call light multiple times with no response. Around 1 p.m., my doctor asked if I had eaten. I said no because no one had come by. The nurse later offered crackers but never brought them and told me to drink water. It was discouraging to see staff walk by or enter for supplies while my call light was on. When I spoke up, I was told to wait or that my nurse would come. I eventually insisted I needed the restroom but wasn't allowed, likely due to fall risk, until I was moved to my room. I asked a nurse about the call light, and she kindly said, thank you for your patience, the ER is a zoo right now. I understand healthcare is not easy. I used to be a CNA and come from a family in healthcare, so I try to be understanding. My issue is that I bite my tongue at night, wake up choking, and don't heal easily. We suspect sleep apnea, but it is not confirmed. I asked to stay overnight due to the trauma, and I am grateful I was moved for observation. Special thanks to my nurse Liezel. She was amazing, attentive, proactive, and kind. She made sure I was comfortable, brought me a fan, gave me extra pillows, checked on me often, and made sure I finally ate after over 24 hours without food. She even ordered dinner. I am on a clear liquid diet, and it is not bad. I appreciate the room service options. At times, it felt like a mini hotel with iced water, sanitizer, tissues, and validated parking for visitors. Also, my nurse speaks Visaya like me, which was such a comforting surprise. Overall, this experience has been a roller coaster, but the great care I received outweighs the negative moments. Praying for a better night with no more bleeding. Thank you, Kaiser team.

It is BY FAR, the BEST medical facility I have EVER been in--and after getting wounded, I've had 15 surgeries, multiple scars/shrapnel/debility...etc. I just am very impressed=PERIOD. Much aloha to all you guys!!! Your assist and help was SO appreciated! I've been really down about all this, the time I lost getting treated and where it's at now--needing major surgery, possibly crippled for life...yadayada. But you guys there really cheered me up. MAHALO!!! Sorry so long, but I just feel VERY strongly here!

***4.5 STARS***…read more Recently a colleague reached out to me as his designated driver was unable to pick him up due to an unforeseen situation. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. Overall, impressed with my first visit to PMMC, with the exception of their pickup and drop off area. 2026 #60

He couldn't very well miss the pizza party as our older one ordered and was carrying the many boxes of pizza to the field with the help of a family friend's son. Even though it's a Sunday and just a drop off, you must pull a ticket, enter, then make a U- ey back out for no charge. Luckily have been here before for the doctor that does our colonoscopy. It's the season of giving and reciprocity. Happy holidays.

I didn't notice this building where Elephant and Castle Restaurant used to be... a long time ago... on Kaahumanu Street. Anyway, I just used GPS to find the building. Aunty said that if I park on the 3rd level of the structure, there's a walkway that connects straight to the building. She was right! There's even a convenient lab on the ground floor of the building... yay! Inside, the directory and signs were helpful. The only downside was paying for parking. The doctor's office doesn't validate. There was a kiosk next to the elevator that accepted credit card payments. I'm glad that I paid before we returned to the car. The car in front of me had problems exiting... because they didn't pre-pay...

Got here when he said he would. We offered to help bring things in but he said he get um'. He showed me how to use the equipment dropped off and recommended a set up of the equipment we already were using. Friendly and on time. Never had a problem with our local delivery guys here in the 808. Our medical let us know they were changing from APRIA. I am saddened as we always had positive encounters with APRIA. I hope this new company services us just as well. Thank you David and APRIA for servicing us over the years.

THEY ARE EXTREMELY PREDATORY AND WILL EXTORT YOU FOR HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. The long) you are much better off getting your stuff from a medical supply store, and if you're in Hawaii places like Fisher art actually do sell the specific parts that you need. this company is incredibly predatory and its not a question of if they will extort you, it's a question of when. they tried to charge me for products that I never received after quitting both through my doctor and online. this was done before the cut off period. also, while in the process of fighting them through HMSA, they sent me more product, which I then had to return and pay out-of-pocket for the mailing fee. A year after this has happened they are now trying to come at me again for the same cost and I had to re-fight them through HMSA to send them the first letter that they got, they also consistently send me mail to restock my supplies, even though all of this has happened. it is shameful to think that a company that is built around helping people could be so disgustingly predatory, you are literally better off buying supplies at other places. I hope that people that work there feel shame around what they do to the communities that them for help, "its just a job" is not excuse for this type of behavior.
