They allow you to take pictures or video of the monitor during your visit. Also, they send you a link for the ultrasound images for your viewing. You can't do this at Kapiolani and will only get a long printout to take home that's only black and white. The wait time is also much shorter than Kapiolani. The only drawback is after covid, children are not allowed to the visit.

I was a patient there for 10 years seeing a wonderful G.I. doctor, but she left the practice . am extremely disappointed with my experience at Queens West Gastroenterology. I came to this clinic for help with serious GI issues and ultimately underwent gallbladder surgery. Unfortunately, I did not feel adequately informed or supported before or after the procedure. The most concerning issue was the lack of continuity of care. While I was still recovering from surgery and dealing with significant ongoing symptoms, I was left without a clear plan for follow-up GI care. A patient should not feel abandoned in the middle of recovery from a procedure that was initiated through this clinic. Communication was also a major problem. Important information was not clearly provided, expectations were not properly explained, and resolving concerns became unnecessarily difficult. Instead of feeling like I had a medical team working with me, I felt like I had to fight to be heard.

The location was very convenient as if was just right down the road from my house. Its sad that people on the west side need to wait longer to be cared for, especially in an emergency situation where they have to travel longer to pali momi or kaiser. That much time they need to travel is that much crucial to life or death. The parking here was also good since it was an open lot and you dont have to pay for parking like the other hospitals. Hopefully someone buys this place soon because the west side is a fast growing city and it will need a main hospital.

He appears to be young, but still smart, caring, and good bedside manner. Later we find out he is only at this location once a week. We've seen Dr. Sneider and Dr. Layugan and have enjoyed their services as well. My toddler seems to like Dr. Layugan a lot as she resembles one of her aunties, and is easy to talk to regarding any of her medical conditions.

She would only refer to a radiologist for xrays and diagnostic lab for lab work needed.The radiology office is another can of worms-especially the older receptionist when questioning the paperwork or billing. She is not someone I would ever come back to nor bring my kids for patient care. My problems got taken cared of at Kaiser and later in private practice for adult care.
