TMI, but haven't had a proper BM in 10 DAYS! Crazy, I know. So I called in to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. I've only had experience with closed systems, they have an open system here. Elizabeth was so generous and patient with answering all of my questions, I feel like I asked at least a dozen before we got started. The price was amazing, too! $75 for one ~45min session is such a steal (they were generous with the time for me, so thankful). Dr.George even came in and gave me an abdominal massage that I requested and taught me a little bit about colon anatomy which was very cool. The experience was VERY EFFECTIVE! Lots of surprises came out. If you're familiar with giving yourself an enema at home, it's a similar experience, except way more thorough. It's definitely more hands on as you're the one inserting the thing up in there and you get to control the water flow and even the temperature. There's a little buzzer if you need help and they check on you every once and a while. The space where the colonic happens is clean and cool. Instead of the white walls shown on their website, they were instead covered in a beautiful hand painted mural of nature scenery. There's also some anatomy posters on the door to look at if you get bored. Overall I had a great experience, by the end of the session I was in a way better mood, physically lighter, more flexible, my back pain and body aches were gone and I feel like I can eat again since the pipes are clean. They end the session off by sending you away with a couple probiotics to take to help reculture everything which I thought was super nice, too. I was joking with my friend that if my colon could sing it would be singing right now. Creepy or cute? I dunno. LOL. I'll be coming back for sure~ SALAMAT!

I love that this is close to home, and if one doctor is out of the office, another doctor will tend to you. We first saw Dr. Raymond Salazar as a referral from a friend. He appears to be young, but still smart, caring, and good bedside manner. Later we find out he is only at this location once a week. We've seen Dr. Sneider and Dr. Layugan and have enjoyed their services as well. My toddler seems to like Dr. Layugan a lot as she resembles one of her aunties, and is easy to talk to regarding any of her medical conditions.

At one point, one of the nurses was talking out loud about a patient who had asked for a foot massage, and the nurses were openly commenting about how demanding the patient was. Me and another family member who was sitting across of me just looked up. I completely understand that working in healthcare can be stressful, and as someone who also works in healthcare, I understand that nurses need a way to cope with difficult or demanding situations. However, I feel that those conversations should happen privately and away from patients and their family members. There were patients and families in the hallway who could hear these conversations. Hearing staff openly discuss patients in that way can make us feel like we are being "too much" or a burden when we ask for help, even though caring for patients is part of their job. I hope the staff can find a better way to communicate and cope with their frustrations without having patients and families within earshot. We understand that healthcare workers have difficult days, but patients are already vulnerable and should feel comfortable asking for help without worrying about being judged or talked about within hearing distance. And what's up with the NOC shift security guard? For a man, you sure have a lot of sass and attitude. Like, I genuinely don't understand it. I sincerely apologize for not knowing where Floor 00 is located, but there was no need for the attitude. If giving me a visitor sticker was too much for you to do, you could've simply said so. You were clearly annoyed for absolutely no reason, and there was no need to make me feel like I was bothering you for simply asking for directions. GO HOME if YOU DONT WANT TO BE THERE.

This place is full of people who genuinely care about people, and you can feel it in the way they speak to you and treat you. A smile, eye contact, and people who listen to concerns. Those are so important. Those little moments of kindness make such a difference. I also love my doctor and her medical assistant. I feel well taken cared of here. HUGE shoutout to Dr. Medina and her Medical Assistant Carmen. Such rockstars and women who give so much care to world. I used to be a Certified Nurse Assistant. I didn't enjoy my workspace. This is a place I know I would enjoy working for. I also raved about it to my mom who is a House Supervisor at a hospital in Texas. They just do things differently here and you can feel it. I personally also love the modern care and the way care is documented and how the patient has access through the app to all of the medical records. We can also make appointments through the app. It's just great and I can't rave about Kaiser enough. I'm grateful to be a patient here and thankful for the compassion I've experienced every time I visit.

Check-in across from elevators and ladies are very patient and nice, giving directions what floor, what letter to look for, where elevators located, where lab is and must check in there for blood test. Shot Clinic upstairs so took elevator and it's under Letter D. Good signage. Waited one minute in wait area and called in to sit, get my vaccinations quickly and then out. Nurse was very efficient and pleasant. You must make an appointment for flu and Covid vax as this location does not do walk-ins. Pensacola used to but not sure if they still do. Lab was packed so they ask you to take a number to be called to their window to check in. I decided not to do it this time since I figured it would be at least 30 min based on amount of people in their waiting room. It was a Tuesday around 10:00 am. As I was departing, they had tables set up on lanai of front entrance selling coffee, snacks and a short line was forming. All in all it was a very good first experience at this location and I'll return for blood work.

Over the next 12 months I had seen her maybe 4-5 times for cleanings and minor cavities. During those appointments I noted that she was quite unfriendly and brusque in demeanor. She also didn't explain details as much as I'd prefer. Recently, during an appointment for another minor cavity she berated me for "not flossing" even though I've told her that I floss every day. This wasn't friendly advice, her condescending attitude was insulting to me. Then, she instructed the hygienist to insert a large, unfamiliar rubber device into my mouth causing me to gag and motion to immediately remove it since I couldn't breathe. She quickly became impatient and tried to convince me to "bite down!" After noticing my discomfort she finally asked the hygienist to remove the device. At this point I was exasperated and requested another dentist. She told me there were none available. Since the filling was mostly finished I asked that she continue so I could quickly leave an uncomfortable situation. She finished up without saying a word and abruptly left the room. Since she never formally introduced herself or given me her name, I had to ask the hygienist in order to file a complaint with the director. In retrospect, I should have requested a different dentist after the first appointment, but I gave her a shot. Big mistake. This "dentist" hates her job and has no business caring for patients. She is uncaring and disrespectful.

My doctor is so kind and compassionate that she is the, in my experience & opinion, the best the VA has to offer. Queens Medical Center, in buying this facility has done a LOT with it and there is even a coffee shop at the main entrance. Many handicap stalls and wild chickens running around to watch before your appointment. The location was very convenient as if was just right down the road from my house. Its sad that people on the west side need to wait longer to be cared for, especially in an emergency situation where they have to travel longer to pali momi or kaiser. That much time they need to travel is that much crucial to life or death. The parking here was also good since it was an open lot and you dont have to pay for parking like the other hospitals. Hopefully someone buys this place soon because the west side is a fast growing city and it will need a main hospital.
