I'm familiar with pre-workouts and creatine and needed to restock since I ran low (normally I order online but procrastinated). Justin made me feel comfortable right away and really listened to what I wanted. I told him I wanted a pre-workout that would help me cut and that I can handle 200mg+ of caffeine. He recommended OxyShred Hardcore--and wow. I used it at the gym and had clean, focused energy. After leg day, I usually struggle through cardio, but I was able to sprint 30 seconds on and off instead of just walking on an incline. My mental focus was noticeably better and I got through my workout way more efficiently. He also recommended a women's creatine with collagen and biotin, which I didn't even know existed! I haven't tried it yet since I still have some left. He even threw in a sample of BioHealth Precision ISO protein in strawberry shortcake--SO good and super light. Sometimes, no matter how well you eat, you just aren't getting the most out of it. In comes protein powder, vitamins, supplements, energy drinks, etc. The BF wanted to check out this place since he wanted to up his intake of supplements because of the decrease with age. If you are old like us, the store is located in the Pan Am Building. Entrance to is from Kapiolani Boulevard. What you see are three long aisles of products and very helpful staff! There is so much stuff that I am amazed that it even exists. The BF wanted to try a different protein powder because the one he had was chalky. It's better to drink a protein shake that you like rather than one that is gross because you won't drink it because you remember how gross it is. Anyway, the BF discussed with (I can't remember his name) the difference between the protein powders and finally settled on one. We only bought a small container but the BF really liked it! While we were here, we also got to sample some creatine gummies. Apparently the gummies that come from the mail don't have the same amount of creatine that would be useful to you. And that wasn't something the staff guy told us. But he told us to try and it tasted way better than the mail ones we had. Overall, this place is great. Prices are lower so that's good. The only junky thing is parking. If you park in the Pan Am building, watch to see what time you park. If you park when the office building is closed, you won't be able to use the elevators to go up to the parking. You could park in the bank parking on the first floor, but make sure the bank is closed. This place is MAYJAH! Visited this store for the first time over the weekend and was blown away. This place is like your one stop shop nutrition store, seriously seems like they have everything you could need. Even though they have such a large inventory it was easy to find things, the shop is very clean and organized. The staff here is also awesome. I was greeted by braddah Justin, who was more than happy to answer all my questions. I was looking for a new preworkout to try, he looked up the profile of the one I was taking and asked me what I liked about it. With that information he was able to recommend me a new one, which has been great so far. He also showed me some of the newer items in store like the new "Feral supplement" line. First time here after finding them on Instagram! Was a little confusing at first as I've never been to the Pan Am building before, but they're easy to find once you park. If you pull into Pan Am, exit the building onto Kapiolani and walk towards 24 Hour Fitness and they'll be on the left. I got there with my significant other and immediately asked if I could use their restroom. Knowing there was no restroom in the store, they graciously walked me to the locked bathroom in the Pan Am building. Great customer service right off the bat. After I got back, I started asking about protein. I mentioned the Legacy brand as I saw a video of the Mochi Donut flavor on Instagram. They said they were all out of the 2lb tub and had only ONE 5lb tub left. Im no dummy, but I already knew that was a good sign that it at least tasted as good as what I've heard. I grabbed the 5lb tub for $79.99 and walked around a bit more. I then started to look for some pre workout as I've recently started going to the gym again (side note, but neither of the guys there made me feel out of place or talked down to me. They listened and helped!). I grabbed one of the bottles of the shelf that looked cool (cause you know... labels is what sells) and the worker immediately said it's not for me if I haven't taken pre workout before or in a while as it's a very potent pre workout. HONESTY and RESPECT right there. He talked with me about some of the more subtle ones, ones that were stim-free, ones that were slightly stronger and even showed me ones that were on sale. Imagine, a worker trying to sell you something cheaper than something else. Needless to say, I grabbed the bottle of the C4 that he showed me which was on sale for $19.99! After taking my things to the register, they rang me up and threw in a free shaker! This was awesome as I was actually looking at the large shakers prior to checking out as I only have a small one at home. Super stoked on that! They also threw in some sample EAA hydration packs. Soon as I got home, I tried out the mochi donut protein and holy crap is it GOOD!!!! So glad I grabbed the last 5lb tub. Needless to say, I will definitely be back as I continue down my path. Sorry GNC, I found a gem. Drove to town out of pure curiosity and after seeing the Black Friday prices. I had been looking for a new pre-workout but GNC was charging their usual $50-60. Came here on Saturday, February 27th about 30 minutes before closing and was helped by an extremely knowledgeable gentleman named Eugene (I hope that's how you spell his name, he wasn't wearing a name tag so I'm not too sure, apologies if it isn't) with distinguishing the difference between creatine monohydrate and creatine micronized as well as the different types of pre-workout they carry, how much caffeine each one contains and he also mentioned one with no stimulant. They have a plethora of supplements, I'm almost 100% sure that whatever you're looking for, they'll probably have it and can answer any questions you might have about it. The store is very organized and neatly set up, right when you walk in they have a clearance section to your right, right across the checkout counter. Each aisle is nicely lit up so you can see and read the prices and labels for everything. As I mentioned in the beginning boyfriend and I came 30 minutes before the store was closing but we didn't feel rushed at all. Of corse we were trying to get out of his hair as soon as possible, as we were the only ones in the store, but Eugene took his time answering my questions and even went out of his way to bring up 2 other products he thought I would be interested in and he also was kind enough to throw in 2 free pre-workout sample sachets. However, his kindness didn't stop there. As we were checking out, I put my number in the little screen to try and see if we had enough points to give us a discount, but unfortunately nothing popped up. He asked if my boyfriend was military (he's not), then he asked us if it was our first time here, (it wasn't) but it was our first time back here since the pandemic, he looked around and pulled out this little discount card that gave us $10 off! What a guy. We were so blown away we didn't even notice that one of the clearance items we purchased was rung up as regular priced. Before we left, Eugene told us to hold on a second as he reviewed our receipt and caught the mistake, he did a return transaction, changed the item to it's discounted price, and refunded what was leftover. This is customer service. Mahalo Eugene! The only thing that this place lacks is parking BUT fortunately I have a gym membership at 24hr Fitness Kapiolani so I park in their parking structure and just walk on over. Because of this, I've never asked about parking, so please call them and ask before you head over. They're located in the Pan Am building, which does have a parking structure so maybe they validate for parking in there? Not sure though, so again please call ahead and ask. One thing I do know for sure, do not park in the Teddy's parking lot! Learn from my mistake, I got my car towed 6 minutes after I parked. It cost me $150 cash to get my car back, so please, don't park here unless you've got someone waiting inside. Other than that, the selection is amazing and the customer service here is even better.
