Such a cute tiny little pharmacy tucked into a little shopping center in Kailua, right next to the Cinema. Surprisingly this is the only place on island that could provide a special prescription I needed (I guess they're the only one that makes it). So although I had to drive really far to come out here, I appreciate this place because now I won't have to wait for my medication to be shipped :) They even texted me the address and when it was ready to be picked up! I also saw a sign that says they have CBD products, pre-rolls etc if anyone needs that. mahalo nui loa! Very thankful for ElixRx for compounding my dogs liquid bronchodilator! Their service is always fast. When I am running out, I can always trust they will have my meds out on time. I don't usually write reviews but I need to say this is the best compounding pharmacy ever. These guys have never let me down. I have a Great Dane (over200lbs) with epilepsy and there is nothing worse than having a dog that big have an uncontrollable seisure. He breaks furniture easily and it is incredibly hard on him and anyone around. He has to have exact meds 2x everyday. ELIXRX gets his medications out on time and exactly what dosage the Vet says he needs. I love these guys. They mail his meds to us in Makaha. I have never physically set foot in their store, but I call to get my prescriptions sent to my home. They are quick, efficient, and very pleasant on the phone. I've also recommended them to my veteranarian. We had adopted some cats and they happened to contract ringworm. The vet mentioned that they would need a special medication that they would have order from the mainland. I asked if my compound pharmacy could fill it. They had never heard of ElixRx but they wrote a prescription and the cats loved the taste of their medication. The vet was surprised since she said the cats usually don't like to take those type of meds. I have two medications for myself that CVS doesn't carry and my naturopath recommended them. The owner is a super cool local braddah who is very knowledgeable about fishing and even helped me pick out a whipping combo with a light action pole and a shimano reel to go with it, and it works perfectly! Customer service is great and you are acknowledged when you walk in with a friendly greeting and a warm smile! I was sent here yesterday by my doc to fill a RX that this specific pharmacy makes and actually compounds and breaks down to a lower dosage (which not many of the bigger pharmacies do on island) and this place was awesome!! I've never felt so comfortable and at home someplace ever. I had a bunch of questions about a few other items they carried, and while most Norma pharmacies would give you some lane half baked rushed answer, these guys were super helpful and even sent me with some samples they had of some OTC items that I was inquiring about. ElixRX isn't anywhere near my route home or even close to where I reside, but I'm pretty sure I'll be back. They carry a variety of items including an extensive selection of CBD rubs and oils, OTC meds, medical supplies and they even have an entire section of fishing supplies... yes.. FISHING SUPPLIES!! Yeti Coolers, Penn Reels, Izuo supplies and much more. It's a pretty cool shop tucked between the Keolu Theaters and Nene Goose Bakery/Blossom's Okazu-ya. The quality of help and instruction I was given there exceeded any expectations I've ever had for any pharmacy I've ever been to. I do hope to see one of these open near our home or at least somewhere in Kaneohe, we could use someplace that isn't about corporate big pharma and is more about helping its customers be well!! My wife was on our way home from picking up meds at ElixRx when our 16 year old Maltese passed away. We no longer had a need for the meds but ElixRx would not accept it back. This was literally less than an hour after picking it up. We did not open it or use it at all. Not only did we lose a family member but we lost $120 as well. So happy to have found this place. I needed a specific prescription for relief from breastfeeding and it's not something you can get at Walgreens or longs. The place is really nice, clean and modern. The pharmacist was really nice and knowledgeable. I think that I would prefer to have all my prescriptions brought here even though they aren't that close to my house.
