Poke...everything must be fresh. The crab salad was just strings of "I'm trying to be crab!" and nothing else, no dressing, no spices, nothing. Such a disappointment. I ordered the large bowl half rice, half salad, with spicy tuna and salmon, and seaweed salad plus an extra container of the seaweed. While both the spicy tuna and salmon were ok, but did not taste fresh. It tasted like it had been prepared hours ago. The seaweed salad was just ok. The food is overpriced, the atmosphere is dead. The food was ok tasting, but they are stingy with everything. If you select extra toppings (like mango or pineapple), even though you're paying for it, you will NOT get extra, just the tiny spoonful they use for everything. You get the tiniest bit of each topping on your poke bowl. On top of that, this place has the most unfriendly vibe I've ever encountered in an eatery. You won't interact with anyone working there, at all. When you walk in, the entire counter has been barricaded behind a row of furniture to make sure you can't walk up, don't try to order there, ask an employee a question, or watch them make your food. You have to order from a kiosk, then you just go sit and they bring your food. They don't greet you, ask if you need anything, or even say hi, they just shoved the food on the table and ran away. Best poke I've found so far in South Central PA! The first thing I noticed was that the interiors were pretty bare; it felt like the design inspiration was an Instagram chic that didn't get very far. Regardless of the aesthetic, the food was spot on. Ordering occurs at a kiosk where you select your base, proteins, vegetables, toppings, and sauce. The selection for each category is pretty good. I got double same for my 2-protein bowl (~$14) and felt like that was a decent portion. I was also really excited to see lotus root as a topping. The bowl was well-filled. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. (Well, except for the canned pineapple.) The salmon was flavorful, the seaweed salad was the right level of salty, and the yuzu saucy added a great acidity. My only wish was that the bowls were made by ordering at the counter (not at a kiosk) so customers could say when they wanted a little less or a product or see the state of the produce before ordering. For example, if I had seen the pineapple was canned, I wouldn't have added it. Overall, a solid lunch stop. read more

Used to really enjoy eating here. Won't be going to this location anymore. I'm not sure who it is, but it's typically the younger individuals that work here. They ALWAYS get my order wrong. I'm not one to get mad about getting things wrong sometimes cuz I understand people make mistakes. But my most recent order was missing EIGHT of the ingredients that I asked for. I'm not sure how you could miss EIGHT things. I'd understand if it was 1 or 2 things but this was absolutely ridiculous. Getting 2 bowls is damn near $40 so I'd expect the order to be right. Especially when certain toppings are EXTRA. You ask for avocado, they charge you for it but don't give you it, like seriously? Y'all need to fix this. read more

The Poke was really good. I wasn't sure what to expect. You walk in and order from one of those touch pads. They have several. You get your receipt and they call you when it's done. The building is new.  Its setup and design are current and stylish, the ambiance very inviting. I especially loved the faux wood floor. Too bad COVID-19 is in effect; otherwise, dining in would only enhance the experience even more.  Upon entering, we were a bit confused if it only takes online order. But once we wandered further inside by the kiosk, we were happy to see the "Walk-In" option on the screen. As a matter of fact, if you're paying cash, there's even a paper form for you to fill out your order. It's the first time we've ever ordered a poke bowl from a kiosk. We found that it made ordering poke bowls a lot easier!  Tap anything you like on the screen row by row, insert your credit card, sign on the screen, and you're done. No need to ask what's what as everything was spelled out. No more looking into the staff's eyes and feel judged as you customize your bowl. And we didn't feel as rushed when we made our selections.  Because of the pandemic, I skipped the raw fish and opted for steak, with Sriracha-Aioli dressing. They really did not skimp on ingredients.  I had bite after bite of endless steak - at least that was how it felt like. I also added avocado for $1 more. Half of a hard boiled egg was a welcomed change from what I was used to.  The mango in my bowl was perfectly ripe and sweet. The furikake was a perfect rice seasoning while masago roe added a tantalizing sensation to the bite.  Simply an explosion of healthful flavors and texture for those who have never tried a poke bowl.  The serving was big, none of us could finish in one sitting.  I'd give a 5 stars rating without any hesitation. read more

Poke is a pretty easy thing to make if you have the ingredients and these little Poke stops are popping up everywhere because it's a simple dish and fun to customize. I liked some of the customization options for their bowls (yes, I know Poke should be simple but I immensely love the different takes on them when I get them across the country). I'd never had mushrooms in a bowl before and adding a half-hardboiled egg for free was a nice touch. Always a fan of more protein! Otherwise, there wasn't a whole lot going on that made me want to come back. The sauces were way too much; by the end, I was eating a sauce-soup with rice floating in it. The cilantro wasn't trimmed well, but at least there was a lot of it. There was no option for Wasabi other than a salmon that was supposedly marinated in it but it tasted like that marinade began a couple of days ago. Finally, the service was hugely lacking. Having to walk up to a touchpad that didn't work properly was a nuisance. The buttons were laggy and there was no function to type messages despite it asking you if you wanted to write anything (I did... about sauces being on the side because if you select that then that counts as one of your sauce options). No one seemed approachable and when I said a simple "thank you" after receiving my order, I got a cold indifferent response back as if the clerk was more concerned with scrolling through their phone than interacting with a customer. read more

We ordered pick up from here for the second time in 2 weeks. The first time we got 2 of their Signature bowls and were more than satisfied. This time, the friend here wa Ted certain things so we did the Build A Bowl. Wow!!! Even better! And I was convinced it would just be as equal! They give you so many choices. You can totally customize. Plus each time we ordered the freshness of ALL ingredients was better than buying at a local grocery store. The staff and manager were efficient and pleasant. We will be using them often and I highly recommend you give them a try! Nice to see another poke place come to central PA. Their bowls are decent but I have to say they're not as good as the ones I get at the place that rhymes with Breshido. The ordering process was a little odd and the people behind the counter were not too helpful. I'm going to chalk that up to being new. They were also pretty stingy on the items. I'm also chalking that up to now knowing. I don't add a ton of different toppings to my poke bowl, so stingy amounts mean a small bowl. Kind of a bummer. The size of the bowls and the pricing is very similar to the place that rhymes with Breshido. Small is $10 and large is $13. I had raw salmon on salad greens. The raisin topping seemed an odd option to me (not my style) and they didn't have a lot of seaweeds (other than the commercial style seaweed salad). Most of their toppings are in line with the good poke place (aka something like the place that rhymes with Breshido not the place that rhymes with Bondu (which is not so good)). They do not appear to have quite as many options the one that rhymes with Breshido. I like my poke bowls with just sesame oil and (maybe) some soy sauce (low sodium if possible). I'm not a fan of the different sauces most poke places offer because it masks the flavor of the raw fish. This place did not offer just sesame oil. They tried to get me to try of their sauces, but I don't like anything of the options so I decided to risk eating it unsauced. In the future, I'll sneak in my own sesame oil. :) Worth a stop. Just ask them to add more than a pinch of this and a smidgen of that. read more

07/2019 The new Hawaiian Poke is a nice addition to the newly built area on Erford Road in Camp Hill offering fresh ingredients for Island/Asian poke bowls. As with similar restaurants, there are signature bowls to choose from or you can make up your own. Here you can fill out a paper with your selections in lieu of being stressed under pressure when ordering. I had a steak bowl with a salad base on this first visit. It was delicious. I love the ingredient choices. They even have rice paper flowers that can add a cute touch to your bowl. I've recently become a huge fan of this poke bowl style restaurant. read more

I live in Pittsburgh and I'm still looking forward to my next trip to Mechanicsburg to get my next poke bowl. My husband and I each got the build your own bowl. I had white rice, raw salmon, tofu, spicy shrimp, avocado, edamame, cabbage, pineapple, broccoli, cucumber, sesame seeds, sriracha aioli and yummy sauce and of course crab salad. So good. I'm a fan! I love poke bowls and all the endless toppings. This place sits on the corner of a new strip and there is ample parking and it just looks new and shiny. I wasn't aware it was open when I stopped in this area but was happy it was. There was only a few people in there around noon but everything moved fast. There was a few minor things I would mention. There was no menu board. I was later told by a friend that they didn't turn on the screens yet. This place opened at 11 but by 12 the screens weren't on?? I wasn't sure how to order. They had a piece of paper for you to check off what you wanted and how you wanted to build your bowl. I didn't know if they had featured bowl or if it was only create your own. There was also a sign near the fountain machine for a free Thai tea with FB or Yelp check in. When I mentioned that and showed them my FB check in (sorry Yelp...) the cashier seemed a little confused. The reason I checked in on FB and not Yelp is because their Yelp page wasn't created yet. I had to do that for them. If you're going to have a special like that, have the page set up. The plus side was that compared to another poke place I love...they had a lot of variety in protein. It might be because the owners own a sushi restaurant. I got shrimp and spicy tuna. They were both good. The shrimp was large and I got about 5-6. I was happy with that amount. The toppings were endless and they gave a description of their sauces. The setting was nice and the price was hard to beat. I will be coming back soon! Only if they had the black rice.... read more

I took my Wife, Brother and Sister-in law to the new Hawaii Poke Restaurant. The food was very satisfying and had many great flavors. The set up is similar to a chipotle style service. You get to choose from a number of different proteins, vegetables, toppings and sauces. I have not been to many Poke restaurants. However, I love the idea and flavors that this type of restaurant brings to our area. It's not often to enjoy fresh fish, wonderfully prepared raw seafood, as well as some tasty spicy flavors! SOOOOOOOO yummy! A wonderful addition to the area this place has fresh delicious ingredients that you can combine to serve any taste. They also have bubble tea which I haven't tried but plan to since my daughter is a bubble tea fanatic. I like that you can order online and pick up there. The restaurant itself though is bright and clean so I wouldn't mind sitting there sometime - when we can again - and enjoying it fresh. But it does travel well. And if raw fish is not your thing - which I think scares some people from trying this type of place - they have plenty of cooked protein options and vegetarian options as well. I placed an order today on the store with the electronic order screen. The reason I can into the store and ordered was to get a bowel with sweet mushroom. I ordered 3 helpings of sweet mushroom. We were handed our bag without any communication that sweet mushrooms were not available and items we asked for in our bowels were knowingly not present by them employees. There was also no signed to identify this was an issue. We got home and my bowel did not have sweet mushrooms, a surprise to me. I called and found out that they are out of stock. They should definitely alert customers if they are missing key items in their order. The first resolution they offered was for me to return so they can make my bowel, still without the sweet mushrooms. I dont know how that solves the issues. I am not looking for a refund but for the company to be honest to its customers. I wouldn't have ordered the bowel of the sweet mushrooms were present. read more
