The food was good but was a little dry and the service was amazing. They have many choices of what to pick. The ambiance was spectacular.

Now on to the May for my picture series. This is my 2nd Lancaster review (although neither are in…read morethe city limits), 3rd if you include Lancaster County as a whole (one in Letitz I wrote in 2022). My parents moved to Lancaster in 2021 and been to this Poke place maybe 3 times when I discovered it. My most recent time was the evening after Mother's Day on my way out of town back to MD. I have to say this place is my favorite Poke place I've ever been to including the many choices we have in the DC area. There are a wide variety of ingredient choices and thankfully a lower price than the DC area Poke places. The staff is always friendly too. My parents aren't very adventuresome when it comes to food. They like American, Mexican, & Italian; that's mainly it. My dad likes Chinese food, but not sushi or Vietnamese, etc. One time I believe around Christmas 2023, all of us wanted different foods for dinner. I rode with my dad to pick up the food while my mom chilled at home. We got my mom a Panera sandwich, then my Poke, then my dad picked up Popeye's for himself. All funny they started with P. I'm like I'm not eating Panera or Popeye's when I'm up here because I live near those. PokeStation is a when in Rome situation. My parents also commented on how different my food looked (in other words very colorful & fresh ingredients).

Despite some poor experiences from others, I decided to try it out for myself. I enjoy sushi and…read morehave had great Poke at other local eateries so I was excited to have one even more conveniently located. First of all, the pictures on the site are very obviously not pictures of the food. The rice to toppings ratio is way off. Think about 2-3 cups of rice with about a 1/4 cup of fish. There was a scarcity of toppings that surprised me a bit but I found a few I could enjoy, though the upcharge for most of the items that were available was not thrilling. As for the quality of the ingredients, they fall short of their claim of: At Yahi Poke, we believe that, "If you eat good, you feel good.". The Salmon was watery and flavorless and very much gave the impression of having sat for a little too long. The Tuna had a pretty good color but gave the impression of being the lowest grade fish that could pass the sniff test. The base of everything, the rice, was a little mushy but not terrible. I had sufficient opportunity to taste it considering the sheer volume of rice served. At the end of the day, I would not choose to visit again. A block away in any direction are 3-5 places that offer as good if not better fare. It's a shame because I really wanted to like it. Had they lived up to their promise this place could be busting at the gills. As it is, no one has really hyped it up to me and I will not be bucking that trend.

I wanted to give this place a try but I probably won't be going back. The bowls look so great…read moreonline, but what I ended up with was a meager, half-filled bowl with a few anemic looking pieces of fish and a strangely large amount of dressing. My friend got a rice bowl and it was about 90% rice and sauce. The employees seemed really disinterested in the customers too. If you really want good poke go to Chop Sushi instead.
