The seafood soup was bland and disappointing tiny scallops barely any shrimp, and oddly mixed vegetables. The broth had no flavor, and nothing tasted fresh. Overall, generic and underwhelming. I love ordering sushi while I travel and esp ordering volcano rolls. Everywhere does it a little different! To be fair, I don't care for asparagus. I've tried it in sushi and I'm still not a fan. I asked for the volcano to have cucumber or avocado instead (and offered to pay any necessary uncharged, though I didn't get charged in this instance). It was huge!! But now I'm trying to order Asian dishes in English from someone who barely understands or speaks English. The struggle is real. It's a problem. Had four apps between my wife and I and our three kids - pork gyoza, crab Rangoon, miso soup, and tempura softshell crab. Gyoza was fine. Not as hot from the kitchen as we expected, but no problem with flavor. Crab Rangoon.... Nothing terrible, nothing good. Honestly I'd guess it came from Restaurant Depot or a similar garbage restaurant wholesaler. Miso soup was fine, not really good. Softshell crab tempura was awful. Crab was actually okay, but the tempura was overfried and burnt, and all it tasted of was burnt oil/batter. We would have actually ordered some sushi to give it a go, but after we sat... and sat... and sat... with neither of the servers returning to our table i got up to see if I could just pay at the counter and leave. That's when none server finally headed our way and asked if we'd like to order . I said no, the food was mediocre to bad, we had waited too long (restaurant was not that busy), and nobody was happy. We were leaving. Paid the bill and the hostess(? maybe?) apologized. Then we left. Disappointing all around. Really was hoping we'd finally find a decent sushi/Japanese place in the area. Hands down my favorite sushi place. The spicy crab roll has those crunchies that not all places use, it's delicious and that's what I base my good sushi places on. I was a little nervous walking into this place. There was not one car in the parking lot. We decided to try it since we were visiting the area and there were so many good reviews. The food was fantastic and portions were very large. We had edamame, wonton soup, tnt maki, vegetable tempura, and another maki I can't remember. Everything was perfect. The best Asian Fusion food around by far! The Pad Thai is great, the Thai Basil Chicken is almost as good as the place in Union Deposit used to be. Now a seafood boil place. Forget the name. The sushi is super fresh and delicious. Can't say enough good things. The octopus appetizer was tasty. Heck, even the General Tso's is steps above most. I'll have to do some digging for pictures, as it's always to go. This is my son's favorite restaurant. He is a frequent visitor after work. He'd eat there every day if he could afford it. Do yourself a favor and check it out. The Thai food is pretty darn good. I've had so much, I can't list them all. I'm having the Malaysian Fried Noodles tonight. Mee Goreng. First try. I don't know how many sushi chef they have because whenever I order hand roll, it's always look different each time. It's either perfect, okay or fall apart that's what I mean. Solid Japanese food. Chinese owners. We had sushi, a bento box, and General Tso's chicken. Sushi was solid, we didn't order anything exciting. They didn't have the crispy snapper, but I had another of my favorites, Sizzling Mongolian Beef (on a large white plate - not a sizzling platter; but that's ok.) Closest thing to Beef Negamaki I've had In a while. Timing could be improved since my beef arrived before I was even halfway done with my Special Thai Wonton Soup (always a treat). Beef was tender, succulent and nicely spicy. Brought tears to my eyes. Of joy. Don't let the meal end before you've had the Green Tea Ice Cream. Pleasant comfortable dining room. I would go to any of those places before ever going here again. The waitress there is very nasty and as far as the sushi goes I've had better. The waitress rushed us to order (which I didn't understand because it wasn't busy) and she had an attitude the entire time. Let me start off with the fact that I came here on my lunch time with a colleague who really wanted to try this place. I didn't even know it existed. We arrived at 12:10 and did not receive any service for 35 minutes. I felt really bad for the only waitress there who was busy running up and down taking to go orders, packing them, answering the phone, and even went into help do the food at this point. When I arrived it looked like nothing had been cleaned up from past tables and it was a 1 woman show. At one point, there two sushi chefs and one of them became the delivery man. Lets just say by the time we ordered and got our food, we did not leave the place until 2PM which is ridiculous. For how cheap it is and their lunch specials, I want to say it's worth it but it honestly was and is not. But you'd probably be better off just ordering to go maybe. I had the salmon sashimi which was still slightly frozen just to test out the sushi. Uhm, that's not ok. Their lunch comes with a miso soup and salad which we at least got after 35 minutes of waiting to hold us through until we got our sushi. I thought that was a good deal and at least nice. I just got the sashimi lunch in addition to the salmon. My friend got the spicy tuna, salmon, and california rolls. I tried them all but the sushi just didn't taste right. Maybe next time for lunch to go? But at the rate I was waiting, terrible service, and low quality sushi...I find it hard to justify another trek. read more

It's sushi and they deliver. The food quality is usually good but the service is, well, lacking. Been getting delivery from them for over a year, mainly because of delivery. Never again. I'm done with them sending half right orders and not caring. When I specifically ask for an item and it comes with missing ingredients, it isn't getting paid for. My order is always in the $75-100 range, so they should make sure it is right. Just one example from my last order: uncooked gyoza. What, you just forget to fry it? Kiss that $900-$1200/year goodbye. Not from the area, I happened upon Yokohama via Yelp and so so so glad I did! Huge menu, super clean restaurant, some of the FRIENDLIEST staff I have ever met, and the food was executed perfectly. I love the fusion restaurants that exsist but usually they run into a 'been there done that' menu subset, but I found alot of diff types or cuisines and dishes I don't see often if at all! Pleasantly surprised to find very fresh sushi here. Prices a bit high but not outrageous ... and easily offset by good fish-to-other-stuff ratio in each roll. Very good sushi experience here from a food perspective. The restaurant was almost empty when we were there, and we were rewarded with very fast service -- those rolls came out to us quickly, which was appreciated. Their green mussels are the best in town, as is their TNT roll. I always order the standard rolls (make), and they're always perfect. Their tuna, salmon, and eel are always fresh. It took 90 minutes and when I called after an hour they said the driver already left, but I only live 2 miles away so 30 minutes feels excessive. Great spot with very tasty sushi. We wanted some Asian or Thai food and found that the bistro spot we used to visit shut down. The hibachi chicken came in so much sauce you could call it hibachi soup, and it smelled so much like fish that I took a bite expecting it to BE fish, sadly even though it was chicken it did taste like fish, too. The chicken Katsu was over cooked and tough to chew, we each only had 2 bites before we threw the rest of it away. Finally, the hibachi steak was so fatty that the piece I bit into I could have used for chewing gum. The only good thing was the rice, both fried and plain. Really disappointing and a complete waste of the $65 we paid for dinner and delivery of meals for 3 people. I'm so surprised by the good reviews. Maybe it was an off night? The first time we got 2 maki rolls and 2 special rolls. It was really good, not great. Tonight I got the seaweed salad, sashimi sampler (or something; 6 pcs), and a philly roll. A lot of cream cheese in the philly, not as much salmon. Sashimi was ok. All in all I would way rather order from Miso. Their Japanese Bagel Roll never disappoints and their sashimi tastes much fresher... and they stack their rolls with tons of fish. The best thing this places has is DELIVERY.
