Crab Rangoon, volcano roll, and Philadelphia Roll
    Donna O.

I love ordering sushi while I travel and esp ordering volcano rolls. Everywhere does it a little different! To be fair, I don't care for asparagus. I've tried it in sushi and I'm still not a fan. I asked for the volcano to have cucumber or avocado instead (and offered to pay any necessary uncharged, though I didn't get charged in this instance). It was huge!! I could barely get each whole piece in my mouth. The crab Rangoon was also presented in a way I don't see often, so that was cool. Everything was delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Crab Rangoon, maybe from restaurant depot?

To start with, we had two... I'm guessing some kind of Spanish... people trying to talke out order, but neither one spoke more than middling English. At a Mexican restaurant, okay. But now I'm trying to order Asian dishes in English from someone who barely understands or speaks English. The struggle is real. It's a problem. Had four apps between my wife and I and our three kids - pork gyoza, crab Rangoon, miso soup, and tempura softshell crab. Gyoza was fine. Not as hot from the kitchen as we expected, but no problem with flavor. Crab Rangoon.... Nothing terrible, nothing good. Honestly I'd guess it came from Restaurant Depot or a similar garbage restaurant wholesaler. Miso soup was fine, not really good. Softshell crab tempura was awful. Crab was actually okay, but the tempura was overfried and burnt, and all it tasted of was burnt oil/batter. We would have actually ordered some sushi to give it a go, but after we sat... and sat... and sat... with neither of the servers returning to our table i got up to see if I could just pay at the counter and leave. That's when none server finally headed our way and asked if we'd like to order . I said no, the food was mediocre to bad, we had waited too long (restaurant was not that busy), and nobody was happy. We were leaving. Paid the bill and the hostess(? maybe?) apologized. Then we left. Disappointing all around. Really was hoping we'd finally find a decent sushi/Japanese place in the area. But this ain't it.

Hands down my favorite sushi place. The spicy crab roll has those crunchies that not all places use, it's delicious and that's what I base my good sushi places on. If a spot has the basics down, you know the other rolls will be on point. Loved the firework roll made with soy paper. Didn't miss the nori paper with the crunch of the shrimp tempura. Prices extremely reasonable. Solid sushi here.

Walked in and there was nobody else here, always a worry... we trusted the reviews we read and I'm glad we did. I had the sushi deluxe and my wife the sesame chicken... both well done and well presented. A definite 'need to come back to' spot

I was a little nervous walking into this place. There was not one car in the parking lot. We decided to try it since we were visiting the area and there were so many good reviews. The food was fantastic and portions were very large. We had edamame, wonton soup, tnt maki, vegetable tempura, and another maki I can't remember. Everything was perfect. Be aware they do not have a liquor license, I had tea. Throughout our meal there was a steady stream of take out orders. It was school vacation and all the college students are out of town.

If you ever find yourself having a major sushi craving while visiting Harrisburg, P.A then you must visit Yokohama. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of sushi in this Japanese/Thai fusion restaurant. All the rolls were well made and delicious. The sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented. The Thai iced tea was refreshing as well. Don't get fooled by the mediocre exterior decor when you see the place because it is one of delicious hidden gem Harrisburg.

I'm a regular customer at Yokohama, but they disappoint me whenever I order. Their food is okay! I don't know how many sushi chef they have because whenever I order hand roll, it's always look different each time. It's either perfect, okay or fall apart that's what I mean. Today, I ordered, tomago sushi and eel sushi and the sushi chef give me all eel sushi. Also, from the photo, you can tell the Boston hand roll looks disaster. I didn't call back to make an complaint is because they are not going to do anything about it and plus the lady in the front act out as it's my fault like I have to bring back the food and they can't deliver to me. Even though, they are the ones that mess up my order! This is the first time in three years since I order. What happen Yokohama? Enough is enough. I won't be going back!

I didn't love this and I so wanted to! I ordered takeout, and my order arrived promptly on time, but something tasted odd. I found the ingredients didn't taste as fresh as I'm used to when it comes to sushi in the area. I'd certainly be willing to try the restaurant in person vs takeout to see if the experience is better.

Yokohama is my absolute favorite sushi place in Harrisburg. It's great for take out, but I like to make it a point of dining in whenever I can (it's B.Y.O.B., by the way). It's a wonderful place to bring the family, or just yourself and a date. The service is wonderful as well.

Once again, an excellent meal at Yokohama. They didn't have the crispy snapper, but I had another of my favorites, Sizzling Mongolian Beef (on a large white plate - not a sizzling platter; but that's ok.) Closest thing to Beef Negamaki I've had In a while. Timing could be improved since my beef arrived before I was even halfway done with my Special Thai Wonton Soup (always a treat). Beef was tender, succulent and nicely spicy. Brought tears to my eyes. Of joy. Don't let the meal end before you've had the Green Tea Ice Cream. Pleasant comfortable dining room. Tasty food - including all the sushi as well. Friendly service. A lot of take out. I prefer to be served and eat in. A very classy local restaurant. Always a treat.

Food was delicious. Place was completely dead but seemed to have a good take out service going. Ole ty to choose from and prices were reasonable. $4 for a spicy tuna roll as it should be. Also had the red lion roll which was very good.

It is the BEST sushi in the area and we have tried them all! Definitely better service and they were busy!

Sushi items are good. Other items can be great (Katsu) or disappointing (pad thai). Please do not order the pad Thai.

There were probably 8 to 10 spots out front in their parking lot as well as street parking. Upon entering I was immediately greeted, seated, and handed a menu.(pictures included). There was a large selection of sushi, however I decided upon the salmon teriyaki. I chose a diet cola as my beverage, not being in the mood for hot or sweet tea, etc. My order arrived on a sizzling platter within 10 minutes. On the table was soy sauce and low sodium soy sauce which was what I used on my white rice. The salmon was accompanied with onions, sliced carrots, and broccoli, and everything was delicious (Photo included in my accompanying pics). The restaurant was clean, reasonably quiet, not excessively busy during my time there, and with an active take out service in action. The photo of my tab is includes. Once seated, the meal started strong. The shrimp appetizer was great, perfectly cooked and flavorful. For the main course, I ordered the hibachi scallops, and they were genuinely some of the best I have ever had. They completely lacked any fishy taste, offering a tender, savory profile that truly showcased the chef's skill. Unfortunately, the side dishes did not match that high standard. Both the onion soup and the ginger salad were underwhelming and easily the weakest parts of the meal. The biggest drawback, however, was the value. With each main plate priced between $30 and $50+, I expected a satisfying portion size. Sadly, there was not enough food to leave with leftovers, and worse, I did not even leave feeling full. While the flavor of the seafood was nothing short of amazing, I simply cannot justify the high price tag when paired with lackluster sides and such small portions.

So far, it took about 15 minutes to order drinks and dinner. (I was told about the fried rice up charge and only steamed rice is included with the entrees). There is one full hibachi (11 people) next to us and ours is us (2) and another couple. Two other tables have already finished and are leaving. Soup is here quickly and it's excellent with those caramelized onions on the bottom. Salad is out before we finish the bowls of soup. No chopsticks on the table, we'll eat the salad (needs more dressing, but good) with the fork which was wrapped inside the napkin. Now, we are enjoying watching the chef prepare our meals. He is very entertaining and friendly. My meal, Mr. Hoc's Treat, was a chicken and New York strip combo. Excellent and the accompanying veggies and fried rice totally on point. Upon conclusion of the meal I can say 4 stars maybe 5 with quicker service. The traditional Japanese decor is nice but a little dated. We both took to-go boxes with lots of leftover food. Two meals each basically. Very happy with this dining experience and we will be back, maybe for lunch one time.
